Experience:

I won't go into excessive amounts of details here but here we go

• I joined the Galactic Marines upon first joining the Server - Maintained activity and dedications until I eventually achieved the rank of WO
• As WO I improve the NCO core, revitalised the batt then got promoted up to CPT, then Major, Then Colonel then XO.
• As XO I was the shadow BCMD when Snad was not there, running the day to day. Eventually I became Bacara shortly after
• Term 1 was me being pulled to a channel and told I have about 1 month to turn the batt around or it's being removed. We have about 2 consistently active players, which was bad back then. I managed to improve it to 6 in the week and 8+ on the weekend. The best being a total of 20+ marines on at once.
• Term 2 consisted of the notorious GM SO merger, creating what is know as the 21st Nova Corps. We worked hard to have the transition to be seamless, but has some problems due to old members in each battalion being stubborn. It eventually worked out and the new battalions was doing great.
• I was going to do a 3rd term, but had to leave because of life. Came back, helped the batt re-grown as I had to leave it without someone who could replace me due to my life's sudden changes. 
• At some point, I went for SPEC REG, did 2 terms, mainly dealing with toxicity and drama in the batts, but also improve relations and generally leading and championing RP on the server.
• After this I returned to 21st. I had neglected them a bit as SPEC REG and they were suffering. 21st got Wiped and I was back down to Private.
• I focussed on my Jedi mostly at this time, getting to Master in the 41st and then becoming, you guessed it, Ki-Adi-Mundi.
• I was a Council Member and Mundi for a few months, I was event promoted to XO as Mundi. Eventually our Bacara resigned and I was the defacto leader.
• after 3 people tried and failed at applying for Bacara, I applied and got my 3rd term. Which was mainly focused on bringing the batt back and kinda fixing some of the shit that was still around from the wipe.
• Did a 4th Term as well, mainly working to ensure I had a solid officer and Command core to rake over after I was gone. The batt was in a solid place with active troopers and a positive attitude. 
• I got HA/VA around this time and was enjoying the server. But due to just not feeling like my work was being fairly marked and feeling devalued, I began to hate the server and those running. Rather than sticking around and being sour, I decided to resign and leave the server. not expecting to come back.
• I later returned about 3 months Later to the batt in the state it is in now, which is pretty good, tbh. 
• I worked my way up the ranks, got Officer, then eventually Got CMD and Blackout after helping implement SO after they were removed and running the Subunit for Bitter.
• Bitter resigned and kinda left us in a sticky situation in the areas of next Bacara. But here we are.

Why should you become a Battalion Commander?:

I have lots of experience in this position, amongst other similar positions, and I am dedicated to my core to this Battalion. Many people only know me as either Bacara or as a Marine. I have always been involved with the 21st for as long as I have been on the server. Ensuring it grows and adapts to what the server needs while ensuring it remains a place for a more serious and "Marine-y" play style. We can be hard asses, but not Elitists, not anymore.

I always strive for change and growth and have a ZERO tolerance to bullying and Elitism in the battalion. I have seen what it can do and I do no want to see history repeat.

I might be an old head, but I am one of the few who understands that the past is the past, and just because it works 2 years ago, doesn't mean it will now. I use out history as a resource to advise my current plans, not as the blueprint to success some old heads do.

I try to be as active and approachable as I can and actively enjoy being both Bacara and BCMD. Leading the troopers, solving problems, running the base and Champion RP on the server. I can be... difficult to work with sometimes as I am stubborn and argumentative as I will not just allow something to happen without it going through the ringers of thorough questioning. I often roleplay Bacara as a prick, but a prick with a point. Always wanting the best from his troopers and not settling for anything less, which also laughing and awarding those who are providing joy to the batt and server. 

I am a hard-ass, I am a Perfectionist, I am Loyal, I am fair, I am a Marine.

Availability:

Roughly 3-5 hours in the week from 1pm EST to 6-7pm EST

5-7 hours on the weekends from 12-1pm EST to 7-8pm EST

I usually take 1-2 break days a week, playing Destiny 2 or whatever else, often while also being on the server or TS.

Where do you want your battalion to be at the end of your term?:

The battalions is in a decent place as is, but with a few areas I want to fix.

Officer Core - The current officer core is mired with inactivity and no clear lines stating what they can and can't do. Officer feel like glorified NCOs at this point and I wish to rectify this by evaluating those we currently have (started) and then moving those who do not meet the standard and promoting new, active Officers. This may even be done prior to this being accepted for interview or whatever happens.

Keller's Unit - KU's role on the server and in the batt is currently up in the air. KU feels like it's an almost nothing subunit, but I want to help it get and identity and allow for bespoke RP and characters to grow from it. Implementing some old ideas and new ones, while also making it easier to get into where possible. KU has higher barriers to entry that SO, and SO is debatably as good, if not better. The groundworks has already been started for this.

Overall Activity and Trainings - I have a dream... That ONE DAY... the 21st Nova Corps will be the Battalion of the Month. Maybe not this month, or the next, but SOON! I want us to work hard and have pride that we all came together and achieved something great. I want us all to achieve this and know it was from our collective effort and resolute determination. We have proven that we can be active, we have proven we can get the job done, now I want us to prove we can be active within the server, not just events, and improve relations within the MECH Reg and beyond. I plan on working with SO and Naval/Jedi to run cloaking drills, where SO try to infiltrate and the others have to try and catch them. Fun interesting trainings that hold actual merit while also being fun to partake in on both sides. I also want to run patrols, sims and have 21st take a more active role in the RP of events, not just be the gun. See other options, such as TECH, EOD or stealth.

Transparency - Many clones within the batt have raised complaints and concerns about there being very little in the form of communication and promotions of REG positions. People applying and waiting forever, REGs almost dying because of no leads and the battalion suffering for it. I want to ensure we have active leads and officers, ensuring the regiments are active while also matching the roles they should uphold on the server and within the batt.

These are the current problems, and new problems will appear as we move forwards. Any questions, don't be afraid to ask.

Easily the person who shaped me for my BCMD term and the person i thank the most for my success on the server. He was nothing less than an inspiration for me

I have never told I killed the battalion, the only time I did anything comparable to that was my unfortunate sudden departure after my first 2 terms. Which was not having  a direct successor.

 

I have often been attributed to saving the battalions in both occasions as I often get the position with 21st/GM being in an absolute state And working to improve it from basically nothing.

I have rebuilt this battalions many times, I've seen good and bad BCMDs. I've seen the good and the bad times and learnt from them.

I take this as a bit of an insult, you can ask almost any 21st or anyone on the server about my past terms and I am confident they would say the contrary to what you said.

 

I have poured my heart and soul into this battalion. I have stated nlin the past, I have little love for Synergy as a whole due to some disagreements in decisions made, I am mainly here for the 21st and ensuring the battalion, neigh, my home is here for others to enjoy.

 

If you'd like to provide some more substance to the claims, I'd be glad to clarify or retract if necessary, but I am unsure how or where I have done this.

Before I vote, I ask everyone the same question. What are your plans for Jedi within the 21st? I understand you are currently Barriss Offee, so I assume you have knowledge and skill, as well as you stated beforehand you were also Ki-Adi-Mundi for the 21st. So, what are your plans for Jedi. It appears as if we are just glorified shields with (as of now) no role in 21st.

I understand Jedi may not be your priority, or it may be low on the list as of now. But knowing we will have plans for the future is always a great start.

Jedi is a difficult one, as 21st has always had a hot and cold attitude with them.

I plan on focusing on bolster the amount of Jedi we have, host trainings utilising Jedi more effectively in combat. I also want to ensure we have some sort of jedi lead in place and keep the jedi involved with what we are doing with the batt so they don't feel like an afterthought.

Potentially even reviewing our lore characters without jobs, like Noirah Na for KU.

I thought I'd respond and somewhat set things straight. 

 

I have no intentions of bringing back old stupid things, I appreciate what we were and how we got here but I don't want us to be the 21st of yesteryear. The past is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift, that's why I live in the present.

We are a new batt, its a new year, and we are moving into this new dawn with wide eyes and open minds.

 

Also, I was one of the few past Bacaras who actively changed old things as I hate stagnation, so I hope I won't disappoint. 🙂
