Venator Rotation

Suggestion: Change Venator Rotation to only 1 Day every 2 weeks instead of the whole weekend. Cause let's be honest, the amount of LOA's people take because of it and the low player pop is rough for those who love interaction

Implementation: Swap venator time to 1 day instead of 2 1/2 days.

I think 1 day is a good number. While yeah it feels like nothing, those who enjoy it can still have it, but those who hate it dont have to put up with it for 3 days. That and server pop won't tank for 3 days too.

-1 i think the venator is just massively underused by the gm team. It has twice the creative potential of anaxes for those who can actually build. I think the GM leadership team needs to look into working on stuff for people to use on venator days since clearly people havent been creative enough for the past 4 months we have had the venator to consistently have entertainment. Anaxes is just as boring as the venator, the gm team just does more on anaxes consistently (even if its usually the most mind numbing droid/bug shooting event that could just be a CSR sim). I personally have been able to build some pretty creative things like asteroid bases and ship docking stations and feel that I have only scrached the surface of what could be pulled out of the venator. I know other people have built like funky asteroid events like unkindled before.... Im not trying to diss them but I strongly believe there is a large decrease in the amount of events/ encounters actually conducted on the venator, in comparison to anaxes.


I would say by the end of the summer, if the venator is still boring as fuck constantly with little amounts of events, it should be just removed entirely or set to only 1 day. The venator relies solely on the GM team to be at its most active capacity.... which I dont think is happening. Look at any shipwalking rp server.... their gm teams pump out events 24/7 every hour most of the time.

1 day just isn’t worth imo. Might as well remove rotations and take the map out of the content pack to clear some space. Sucks because I actually like being cramped all together in a venator where I’m pretty much always running into someone but I suppose people prefer the emptiness of Anaxes and how similar it is to their own heads.

I love venators too and I think it is truly under utilised by the current player base. I hate anaxes and I think everyone pretends they don't hate it aswell cause that shit is boring as fuck. So I disagree with removing or reducing it's use at all. but if you plan to reduce it go all the way

Gonna be honest after having a thought about it. I like the Venator. But thats just the thing.. I MYSELF may like it but its very clear the majority is against it. Im a guy who complains that this community is fickle and changes their mind on a regular basis.. But the proof is just in the population now. The Venator needs to go. If you take it down to 1 day, its gonna be a weekend and for any Server on Gmod the weekends are meant to be your peak and we wont see a peak on this 1 day and that harms server population. The Decision is logical, The Rotation was just not what we expected and now its time for us to learn from that mistake and do something that benefits the population, end the rotation till the next map.

I also agree with this but I dont think its to do with Anaxes on this. I find it interesting when we went back to Anaxes from Titan base and a consensus from GMs leadership was that Anaxes was the best map for events and yet main server events hasnt been any better. This is an entirely different discussion so ill leave it at that.

-1 I would like some change with how the rotation is implemented, but I don't think this is it. I would prefer Venator Extensive or another version of Venator. It is nice to have some other map to go to for a decent length of time, as it allows for some unique events if people spend enough time to build a nice dupe. As others have said, I do think the potential of Venator is being underused, due to it having so much space for things to happen, and it is also nice for people to be more clumped up, as you can actually interact with people more.
