Why should you become a Regimental Commander?

I believe I have proven myself to be a capable leader. Not just in battalions, but also from staff experience. In the past year rising upto BCMD, HA, and other various leadership positions I have been able to proof I can handle myself in higher positions. With that my dedication and work ethic have been through the roof in my own humble opinion. Doing things as reworks of a battalion's structure, to reforming a lot of staff systems. 
    Furthermore I believe I am very approachable when it comes to handling issues or asking any question at all. I am open to speak with anyone at anytime if need be. This is a good quality I see myself having due to being partially someone to guide the battalions and it's members.
    And lastly, I believe I am able to lead by example. There is the occasional messing around because we play a video game, but the more serious times I tend to be able to handle myself with whatever situation it is. I believe I am adaptable to situations, regardless if they are positive or negatives ones and able to keep myself cool and collective if faced with some sort of confrontation. With that, I will be working closely with the BCMDs to ensure there is a good line of communication and/or way of guiding them.

Where do you want your regiment to be at the end of your term?

Rancor

Rancor at the moment is already in quite a stable position. With recently acquiring a new BCMD, I have spoken to some members of the battalion and gathered what they wanted from me and what I can offer them.  Being a more hands-off, help when needed person utilising myself as someone who has to step in when needed only. With Rancor the goal is to secure succession. With Bana just becoming BCMD there will be 3 months to make sure the battalion is in a steady spot at the end of his term and ensure there is either a next person to take over the job or have a stable battalion with the best versions of their systems in plance under the same BCMD. Another few notes is working out Alpha designations with Rancor, full TU implementation,  and the suggestion accepted ARF regiment jobs. 

SOBDE

Just like Rancor, SOBDE has recently acquired a new BCMD. They are in quite a stable spot with the odd member not hitting their hours or quota. With their new systems, such as the sign-in and quota it promotes to do a lot more than just walking around and/or playing in events. The role of SOBDE is quite important to me as they hold the power to do a lot more than other battalions due their extensive and unique lore. Utilising this lore and RP to create bigger RP moments or even leading to events/deployment would be something I want to work to so people can enjoy the more unique RP on a star wars roleplay server. Additionally I would like to assist where I can with the new addition of the Cuy'val Dar itself to ensure a smooth implementation. Furthermore I'd like to see SOBDE interact with more people outside the battalion and especially the ones that the battalion has had negative experiences with to mend that and move further along. In the end I want the battalion to be at a strong point where there is no conflict between anyone, especially within the higher ranks/positions.

Coruscant Guard

The Coruscant Guard, where it stands now, there is no BCMD. My main focus on CG would be establishing a good command structure within CG and ensuring they can be somewhat self sufficient with running the batallion without a BCMD till the right person gets into the place. With CG I do see a lot more issues than the other battalions mainly pertaining to arrests, relations, and some inter-battalion conflict. At the end of the term I would absolutely love to see CG become a more liked battalion as in the end they try to do their job. A big role I want to play in this is bringing staff and CG somewhat together in a solidified state where all documents regardling punishment guidelines are merged and as one singular doc so everyone has the same information. For arrests, there has recently been a commander vote that in my opinion aided a bit in the arresting of individuals by increasing the rank needed for AOS resulting in a more RAOS type thing with most arrests so CG can do their job, possibly alongside staff, with investigating. As for the inter-batallion issue, that can be resolved rather swiftly by talking to the individuals involved and looking for a solution all parties will be satisfied with. Lastly, assisting with wanted changes with DS and helping find a new purpose as it's a concern the CG had when I had spoken to them.

TLDR
Overall I want my regiment to be able to reach the goal of having a line of succession, working systems, good relations, and a positive view from the community.

How do you plan to improve relations within your regiment?

I can not stress enough how much I can do with this. Due to the staff abilities I have, the experience with events/training building, hosting, and planning, I plan on utilising this as much as possible. As Regimental I will not be tied with a quota, but have a goal of setting up regimental bonding times so to say. This can be anything from all 3 battalions, to just Alpha and Null, Omega and DS, TU and CG, Rancor and Delta etc. This may seem like a basic thing to do, but encouraging the battalions to do this will help them get to know each other more and more. 
    Furthermore, with said staff abilities I have the ability to host deployments as a GMM. Within these deployment, and this is not just for my own regiment, I would like to encourage through objective-based gameplay, to send the regiment out together and have them communicate with each other and the other regiments.
    Lastly, I want to host small meetings with the CMD+ of each battalion, or Squad Leads in SOBDE's case, and discuss any and all wishes, unpleasantries, negative interactions, or even fix relation within those meetings to get a clear line of sight with what we're working with.

After speaking with Rohan privately about SOBDE before he even went for a waive I liked his plans for the battalion and I think he would be a great RCMD (If he doesn't get hurt)

Dude i usually have something to ask or add to apps and it kind of annoys me that I don't here. 

Rohan has consistently shown an abundance of professionalism, positive work ethic, and dedication to anything he sinks his teeth in. I have no doubt that he is the best choice for SPEC Reg, and no one else compares. If he's accepted, I can not wait to see what he does with the regiment and the server as a whole. It's extremely refreshing to see someone go for a position of High Command that already has experience in the group due to his position as a HA. Good luck King.

Huge +1. Me and Rohan definitely started off on the wrong foot, but after getting closer with him these past few months he has my full trust. He's experienced in HC and with his dedication to Synergy I see him doing great in the position. Good luck!

Seeing you work as a BCMD and as a HA has been a pleasure. You have clearly shown everyone you are capable for Spec RCMD and illustrate great leadership values. I believe you can bring greatness to the Regiment. Good luck my friend!

+1.  I don't know Rohan that well, however after speaking with him earlier today and looking at the vast amount of experience he has I believe that right now he is the best man for the job. If he gets the position I will be looking forward to working with him in CG.

I have spent a bit of time thinking this over and agree with most of the people in this post, Rohan I think you will do a great job i haven't gotten to know you much yet, but from the talks we have had you have left a impression on me. I would love to work with you closer in the future and talk with you more about plans for CG.

I have a few comments/concerns before I give my vote; mainly in response to your Coruscant guard section. My main concern is when you stated "My main focus on CG would be establishing a good command structure within CG and ensuring they can be somewhat self sufficient with running the battalion without a BCMD till the right person gets into the place." I'm sure you're aware that CG has a person in the process of interviewing for the BCMD position now. The way I'm reading your application just makes it seem like you've already written him off and don't think he's the right person for the job. Additionally do you believe the current command structure of CG would not be able to function properly without a BCMD? If so why? Regarding your comment "A big role I want to play in this is brining staff and CG somewhat together in a solidified state where all documents regarding punishment guidelines are merged and as one singular doc so everyone has the same information." CG only enforces and arrests based on the [SR] Public Arrest Guidelines. In our internal documents we only clarify what certain offenses entail; which allows new/every CG member to be on the same page. I am a huge advocate of having the arrest guidelines updated; due to IMO them being old and somewhat outdated. CG by no means however has added or altered the arrest guidelines; so we should be on the same page with staff. I also am a huge supporter of the recent AOS changes; mainly because now most arrest are verified and vetted before anyone is whacked with the baton.

Aside from that i would like to request a few questions,

1. Some rule changes or improvements have been presented by CG in the past and were shot down, how do you plan to address this or work around these issues we have been having? 

2.  in a bit more detail what are your main plans for changing the command structure of CG  and be a bit more specific as it was quite brief. 

3.  Are you more an advocate of bringing someone from outside CG as the next commander or working with us to make sure one of us are ready for that position?

4. would you be open to the idea of reworking CG as a whole?

Rohan is one of the few rare people in this entire communities history, that I have ever intently listened as he has a level head, intelligence, a Calm ability to analyze any situation that comes forth. This guy can come up with solutions a lot faster than most people and usually it's pretty thorough. Rohan I sincerely hope you get this position because when I think Rohan a spec reg? No brainer. +1 From what I've seen, he is a good fit for the role; he's active and likes engaging with several players, not just certain people. I believe that with his level head and willingness to work with others, he will help Spec regiments further themselves. Good luck.

After a talk with you and now actually seeing your application Im confident that you will do a great job in the Spec Reg position, Its good to see that you will actually make change that is needed and wont be just a place holder. Change definitely needs to be made and this is a necessary step in the right direction

Hi Tide, thanks for the comment. I do know there is an applicant and as always I am preparing for both options. It just so happens I have put in the worse of the 2 options into my app as the battalion had no BCMD when I writing my application. I like to stay to the most accurate information at the time of sending my application out. So no, I have not written him off in that regard. If he gets accepted, I will work with him like I would with anyone else, and if he gets denied then I would do what it says in my application based off of having no BCMD.

For your second question I have been talking with a handful of CG high officers and there is already some division between what to do and how to handle certain situations. A lot of battalions can struggle without a BCMD and I believe in the current state of CG with said division this is definitely the case. I am sure the more day-to-day can be handled, but biggere things, not so much in an efficient way.

Exactly. The Public Arrest Guidelines are what you use, however they differ in small parts with the actual guidelines given to staff which is an official document that is updated per rule change if applicable to that document. There has, unfortunately, been too many times where staff and CG clash. If I were to get this position it would allow me to use both positions, Spec RCMD & HA, to make sure it stops from happening. A small example on the doc that differs is that the staff controlled document has the updated rules for MRDM while the arrest guidelines are still on the old rules that are from ~2-3 months ago.

Hi Chips, thank you for the questions. Going down the list:

1. Would you be able to give me examples of the rule changes and/or improvements that CG has presented and got shut down? If it were that they were valid rule changes and/or improvements I would see why they got denied and move to see how we can get it implemented if it's still a relevant one.

2. The division I got from talking to the people I talked to. I am very convinced that whenever there is a command structure they should be filled with people who can work together as a team to improve the battalion. The way it currently stands, from all the feedback about each other, that is not the case and it will have to change into a better environment for the battalion to not spiral down.

3. I will always look inside the battalion first, and yes, if no one is ready and it may take a while for someone to be ready I wouldn't be against someone from outside the battalion to be applying for Fox. However, the only times I will support this is if it's a person who's had the experience, done the proper things during their experience, and is competent enough to join a whole different battalion and adjust to it. So not my first choice, but definitely not against it.

4. Yes. While it's not the best to do immediately, I would be open to changing it's systems and innovating what needs to be innovated.

Honestly I don't think I have seen a SPEC Reg since my return about 8 months ago now probably and certain battalions definitely need the oversight and guidance. I 100% think Rohan has the experience and the drive to be extremely successful as the SPEC Reg. Perfect guy for the position in my opinion.

I believe that with Rohan as our SPEC RCMD a lot can be accomplished for our Specialized Regiment. I have spoken with him a few times about some of this plans and would like to see them put into action. So Yes a +1 from me.

+1 Rohan is a good guy, and I think he could do some good as spec reg, and if he struggles, there’s a plethora of people in Spec that can assist him. Just hope that with being HA doesn’t get in the way of it, but good luck broski
