I apologize for my lack of a response i have been in a lot of adjustment things and talks with CG members and it has been keeping me very busy so i understand your negative response to my lack of one, but i care to answer your questions anyway. 1. I would agree that CG is in a place it shouldn't be right now and things are being done fairly across the board, I've been trying to stem these things as a major by teaching people how to properly arrest and assuring that no one in CG is being protected for no reason as i have seen some sentiment outside of CG that we might protect our own. In my case i haven't hesitated to remove someone in CG over a arrest we are supposed to uphold the rules and be and example of them and for a long time people just kept saying "the server will dislike us anyways" I think that's a terrible mindset and we should always be responding to how the rest of the server sees us and making sure our judgments are fair across the board. 2. I would state that the reason people from the outside want someone else is the unwillingness to change, and the fact that in more and more situations false arrests were happening and staff had to be involved which as a member of staff i know is frustrating. I have set forth a lot of my plans to fix this and i want to move forward with them the moment i have the power to do so. 3. I wouldn't state that we are only defending our own as it seems at least from my checking that both the applications aside from mine are getting denied by CG members, i think personally kaiser would probably do a good job but reading through both our apps we want the same thing and the power to change things for the better. Like to be completely honest looking deeper we want EXACTLY the same things. 4. I see that gap as being, when we go out and take input put it together into something we can do it gets shot down by higher ups, after a very long meeting yesterday and laying everything out on the table i am now finally able as a Major to start enacting these things but it has taken weeks for me to get anywhere, whether it's being stuck in the past or scheduling conflicts we just weren't able to push any suggestions from you guys and our NCO's which made them feel like they weren't being listened to either, my goal is to never let that happen again. 5. Between the other CG app and my own is i want a lot of change and will not stop until these things are fixed, my first day is sitting down with everyone with CG and explaining the situation we are in a bad spot and we need to take the time to improve everything I'd sate i could probably have most things in better order within a month or two at max if i just had the chance, on the other application being kaiser i would state that i think he has a lot of experience leading which i agree on completely, but cg members have a lot to remember from right off the bat we enforce the rules which means we need to know them. The only edge atm i have against him is that i am already here i know exactly were the problems stem and i don't need time to figure it out when getting into office. That and in my time in CG you have probably seen from responses i have a lot of respect from my fellow CG and implementing change would be easier from someone you like or respect at least in my opinion. 6. The main things that i have to uplift currently are as follows - A SGT exam to improve rules literacy and ensure that judgement is given fair or at least with how the test is made it will give me faith that if you pass it i can be sure you made the right call 90% of the time. - Enlisted being "Trainees" given SNCO's or officers as buddies to show them the ropes at all times and only allow them to follow AOS if the are on their own, i have seen a lot of cases were if someone is questioned on an arrest they freeze up like a deer in headlights and that is a BIG problem. - it has already started for this one but a weekly meeting with the commands of other batts as in we assign officers to other bats have them go by once a week and see what thew week was like and what can be improved for the next week, at least that frequent until things have been made stable again. Thank you for your input, i have stated i have a few large things i would like to push out before going out and seeing what other people want, and from what i know and can say there is a large want in CG to change things and push forward new ideas. I under stand the idea of a clique being a subject as to what's going on with CG but i see it more as a group of people that is the majority wanting our voices to be heard and we aren't complacent with being hated anymore, no matter how this all goes i want what's best for the server and CG.

Thank you for the question the simple answer is i have on multiple occasions put forward detailed plans to improve thing and have had them denied citing "HC command thinks CG is fine" i have weeks of documents and plans set up from myself and fellow officers that as soon as i get a chance would be passed through in a a heartbeat. I can list a few in detail to show to you i am passionate and serious about this. - A SGT exam/buddy program ensuring rules literacy and cutting down on false arrests, demoting or limiting the power of individuals who don't understand or care to learn the rules of the server. - Thus far i have not hesitated to remove individuals in CG causing issues, but as stated right above i want an accountability system in place like this and have been pushing for it for a while with not response or help from the HC of CG, If you ask any of the senior or junior officers in CG i have their support and they will always have mine. - My first day in will be a massive sit down meeting with the battalion and we have to admit we are in a bad spot, which we are i have the help and support of my fellow officers in this, after that i will outline my main plans which are already set up and ready to go i am not going to drag my feet on anything. First a general rework of the NCO core and making sure they always have a voice in CG and are not held by the wayside. Second taking a look at the pile of suggestions i have from other batts and trying each out one after another. Third as a trainee position in CG is on the table atm even without the whitelist i still want a trainee phase in which the only arrests they will be doing are proper AOS. (Due to them not having to be involved in a sit if that is the case) these are just the basics and if you want more information i would happily oblige and speak with you on TS about it.

I agree entirely and sitting down with the whole battalion has been on the table a few times, along with coming up with concrete plans after going to other bats and asking their opinions, though as i have stated a bit earlier HC has been unable to budge from their position on denying our requests as officers and my own requests to enact these plans, i stand by this and will do everything to make sure that NEVER happens again under me.   10. I like how informative a lot of these questions are so i will go a bit into detail about each of your points. The first is the officer core, when it comes to setting an example to start obviously it would be discipline, then demotion and so on and so forth, but i and a few officer have been taking steps towards this already. We have the main channel open we are going to be host outreach a lot more and we pushed these suggestions through a lot of work. I know it isn't the biggest step yet but we are doing everything we can with what we can. Second I would like to state as a major my abilities and say in CG have been limited severely, i had gone out and talked with people on multiple occasions taking their input and putting something together presenting it to HC, but as i had stated earlier for some other responses they have always stated "its not that bad" or "its only one group of people" i put forward plans towards fixing things and was held at a stop sign that's why I'm doing this so the officer team can be more open to each other and getting out of this we need to be sealed off mentality. Third, i have not hesitated myself to remove people who deserve it, but as stated above i cannot announce any changes CG can make due to HC being unwilling to change. no matter how many projects or proposals i put forth they are shot down and if i try to do anything on my own i get berated.

CG does need a fox to make meaningful change and currently HC is unwilling and/or unresponsive, I as a major cannot publicly state CG will be making changes because as a Major my word in CG holds no true weight, if HC does not want to make the change I cannot force them. This is why i am running for Fox. This is the list of things i have suggested and have been shot down on. - A test to ensure that only quality individuals are able to join CG cutting down on false arrests - A SGT exam that would ensure rule literacy to individuals becoming NCO's - Enlisted not being allowed to arrest outside of an AOS, due to them being new to the server and not understanding the rules properly in a lot of cases. I am not stating this to argue or cause drama i am just stating what my reality has been and why i am fighting so hard.
  13. Unfortunately as major, i'm not sure how other battalions work on this but i have had to fight for every small change that I have done already. I do not want fox as a legacy or something as a stepping stone to further things, all i have wanted is to improve CG and make it a good place or at least a respectable one.

I believe it does need a lot of work and I have been pushing for dramatic change for a while as stated in my application, I have been and will continue to do my best to make things better even though at the moment things are at an all time low. if you have any concerns with anything i will be open to talking about it in either TS or any other voice space.

Steam Name: Chips RP Name: Thorn RP Rank: Major Steam ID: Steam_0:0:714595130 | 76561199389455988 Battalion you are applying for: Coruscant Guard Experience: CG PVT - WO I’ve spent a lot of my time as a NCO the same as most hosting trainings and practicing my leadership skills to show I could become an officer. I helped run Diplomatic services as an officer giving many sessions of negotiations training and meeting with other officers in other battalions. Finding common ground was my goal and meeting the other members of the server was also very important to me. CG LT - CPT REGL My time as an officer in CG was full of challenges and hurdles that I successfully crossed. My first actions as REGL after becoming a LT were to start working on a new negotiations document. I greatly improved on how to run the negotiations area and what the proper procedures were. Next was my experience in assigning leaders to their own regiments and running them if there was an absence of leadership, making sure the regiment had a steady supply of members and they were doing their job. As REGL I have been leading trainings and instilling NCOs below me to complete tasks, making sure that everything runs smoothly. It’s been my goal to make sure everything can run without me having to be extremely hands on with it. MAJ+ In my time as a major in CG the majority of it has been fixing the outdated and flawed documents and attitude of CG as a whole, essentially having to claw my way into those positions, I have shown nothing but dedication to the betterment of CG caring little for my own well being and making sure that everything is working well, as of the most recent we have had a few very good turns in the right direction explained a bit more below, but in being more open with the server, fostering a stronger and more rules oriented environment, and certainly not least making sure we get the right people doing arrests in the first place nothing is more disheartening than a person being arrested and when the sit comes around the CG who had done the arrest can’t properly explain why they had arrested them in the first place, i have been working with my fellow officers to put in programs to make sure that only people who truly know and can articulate the rules properly are arresting people in niche situations, and when mistakes are made we are open and accepting to admit our mistakes. Why should you become a Battalion Commander?: I believe I can bring a different perspective than others who have been around much longer than myself, working through the ranks and speaking between people in other battalions. I hold many peoples opinions to heart and work constantly to try and bridge gaps. I find brevity to be important so I might be a bit brief but I think spending tons of time padding your docs or apps to be absurdly long is wild. My main plans are a bit too complex to explain in plain text here on the application so I will give bullet points as a summary. I welcome feedback and questions about every single bullet point that I state here. 1. I want to introduce a new “buddy” program into CG; which would ensure that people are guided into knowing the rules well and improve rules literacy as a whole throughout CG. By making sure enlisted and lower NCO’s are paired up with their fellow CG SNCO’s and junior officers, allowing them to be taught at their own pace. It would also teach them how to move forward within CG and uphold the rules and regulations of the server. 2. I want to enforce higher standards among all CG troopers, CG should as a whole should be able to understand the rules well enough to articulate why someone was arrested whether it be to explain to a CT the server rules or provide evidence in a staff sit. I will do all of this through testing our members on rule literacy through well crafted tests by our officer team, creating sims of arrest situations and staff sits so they can become more comfortable with sticking to the rules and making the correct decisions. In addition SEVERELY disciplining ANYONE who abuses the power CG has whether it's baton abuse or having an attitude that CG is better than anyone due to CG’s ability to arrest people for breaking the rules. 3. I believe becoming BCMD would allow me to open up new opportunities in the battalion that have been unavailable previously, improving documents and giving edit access to those who can improve them, adding much needed whitelists with approval to revitalize regiments, and making sure documents / Vital CG information is constantly updated. 4. Myself, Rohan, and a few officers in CG had gone over the rules and found wonky or outdated rules. Thankfully Rohan and I were able to communicate these “loopholes” and wonky rules and get them updated. CG, but more specifically BCMD Fox should always be on the lookout for rules that need updating or clarification. It not only keeps everyone on the same page, but allows for everyone to have a safe and fun time on the server. Myself and CG are committed to keeping an eye on the server rules and making sure they stay updated and are responsive to the communities needs. Do you have a microphone?: Yes I do Where do you want your battalion to be at the end of your term?: The simple answer would be in a good place for me to leave but, i don't think i will want to leave at that time, not until I've taken my time to make CG the best it can possibly be, or at least in a position where it will no longer need to be held onto so tightly. I want to rework a lot of what I have seen as broken or unable to be salvaged, in some circumstances you have to clear the board and put in a new foundation. The main points I have directed my attention are as follows below. Please if you have any questions about anything in the application send them my way and i will be happy to answer and if i can't explain enough here I will hit you up on TS. Battalion Relations: Spending time between my own battalion and others, I have seen a few issues. I want to take my time going between the other battalions seeing what their perceptions are and what I can do to fix things. I want to preface my term with listening and improving what I can. My goal would be to take my time talking between people and changing attitudes to improve things. Specifically, I want to change the perception of CG and I'd take any and all input I can towards that goal, as I see just the words “fix it” to be just unproductive. In summary I want to go between the other battalions and find what they see from the exterior as there is only so much I can do from the inside and just closing myself off from other commanders would result in problems or bad blood when it really isn't necessary. I have been a big proponent of opening things up and was the pushing force along with my REGO Tide and fellow officers in making the CG main channel open and accessible to the rest of the server as needed. I will be helping ARCO Danny run a biweekly Q&A session with the rest of the server on questions or concerns people are having with CG and how it is going towards the rules. With these two small changes already things seem to have improved with the rest of the server and I will make it my never ending duty to make us even more accessible and open to the server. NCO Corps: I have put together a program with the help of a few officers and my higher ups that involves training and setting up the NCO’s of CG in a better state, going through and pairing with SNCO’s and officers to improve how well their rule literacy is and such. I want to make sure that everyone in CG respects and adheres to the rules of the server. We are an example and should be held to the highest of standards, if we don’t follow the rules to a tea then what is the point? By the end of my term I want this program expanded and running in full swing making sure we get the best out of our members here in CG. The Officers: I will make it my goal to make sure they can lead the SNCO’s and develop them into positive and well spoken individuals. I believe CGs officer corp is more than capable of instilling the professionalism we are seeking. Officers should be the examples of those that follow the rules and inspire fellow CG troopers. Overall I want to ensure the CG officer corps is mentoring the next “bad batch” to take their place. CG attitude: The goal of everyone on the server is to have fun, but I have a firm belief that the rules are the rules and we should all be held to them as they are. If we let some people slide and others get arrested immediately it only shows an exterior of favoritism. Even if there isn’t any, I want to have a long conversation with everyone, that we are CG. We uphold the rules and if you think that makes you better than everyone else maybe you are not meant to be in CG. I have no qualms with removing troopers that show constant and repetitive attitude problems. If we don't hold ourselves to the same standard as everyone else if not higher than what is the point of CG. In summary, I will not hesitate to strike or remove anyone in CG causing severe issues either inside or outside of the battalion. Tracker: From since I started I've seen tracker in a strange position either without strong leadership or without proper guidance. I want to install new documents and make sure they use their RP kit to the fullest. Improving RP and extending the reach of it for them between other members of the server, I have a few small plans that have been addressed to me by other battalions of extending the massiff program outside of CG. I want to start a "trial period" with another battalion and see how it goes and move from there. I fully believe the massiff whitelist should be accessible to all VIPs regardless of battalion. This would allow both trackers and CG to interact with other battalions with fun RP. I am very well aware that the process to open the massiff whitelist may take time, but I am willing to see it all the way through. Diplomatic Services: I believe most people can see from the outside that DS is not working, and I along with the majority of CG are in the camp of wanting senate guard to return to the server and that would leave DS in a tricky spot. I want to rework them into more of the offensive or Urban SWAT unit, moving in to protect hostages or free them, taking down urban based HVT’s and stomping out crime. I plan on doing this in a few ways. First improving the tryout and upgrading its difficulty to make sure we are getting responsible people for this position as it is an elite subunit of CG. Second if necessary maybe a name change to fit the new role but that is up for an open discussion and vote. Third, I want it to be held to an even higher standard than those in normal CG, having them play the character more seriously and staying as the character in most situations. This is an RP server and I want to make it a more elite and RP heavy subunit for CG. Heavy: Overall the health of the heavy regiment currently is in good order, we have a new lead and they are enthusiastic to start working. I have proposed an idea in which maybe one HVYO would become a heavy ordnance officer; managing their group of explosive specialists. Which would leave another officer in direct control of the main heavy troopers. We have put together a new heavy tryout as previously it was kind of a document that was just read to you. The new tryout is designed to prepare CG troopers for real in game events and situations. The tryout is also being updated frequently to ensure an evolving training mentality. Medical: At the moment we have been working with some naval members and organizing the medical branch into a more RP heavy branch; making sure surgeries, exams, and other RP is prompted. The lead is doing well and I hope the focus on RP and in-game medical assistance is kept a priority. Do you understand that if you go inactive that you will be removed from your position?: Yes I understand completely and will be as active as I can be. Do you understand that your position has a three month term limit and you must reapply after three months to maintain your commander rank?: Yes and I will see where things are from there.

  19. +1 i see this as a way to give the enlisted more time to learn the server rules, and be able to approach situations with more understanding too often we find that its too much information to give some people all at once and bad calls on things keep happening. i want this for the improvement of us and the server as a whole.
  20. Aside from that i would like to request a few questions, 1. Some rule changes or improvements have been presented by CG in the past and were shot down, how do you plan to address this or work around these issues we have been having? 2. in a bit more detail what are your main plans for changing the command structure of CG and be a bit more specific as it was quite brief. 3. Are you more an advocate of bringing someone from outside CG as the next commander or working with us to make sure one of us are ready for that position? 4. would you be open to the idea of reworking CG as a whole?

I have spent a bit of time thinking this over and agree with most of the people in this post, Rohan I think you will do a great job i haven't gotten to know you much yet, but from the talks we have had you have left a impression on me. I would love to work with you closer in the future and talk with you more about plans for CG. +1
