212th:
PVT - CMD

212th was the first ever battalion I ever joined. I was completely new to everything and this is where I learned the basics of SWRP. I’ve rejoined the battalion a couple of times back and forth, but in the end I managed to climb my way to CMD as Obi-Wan and have learned what it means to be a commander.

Special Operations/Shadow Company:

SGM - CPT

After leaving the 212th eventually I ended up in SO. This is where I learned everything about being an officer. How to conduct trainings, basic levels of intel work, how to treat and take care of the NCO core, and most importantly how to treat and have fun with your fellow battalion members. God bless CMD Bumblebee, that man taught me some of the most important things I know.

104th:

PVT - COL

104th is where I mostly learned all about regiments, especially how to run them. It is here that I first became an ARFL three times. I also eventually became SUPL and learned the most about regiments from there. It’s also thankful to this battalion as I learned about intel. 104THis where I learned and thrived within Intel. I became the ITD and worked hard keeping intel working efficiently and upkeeping documents.

Republic Commandos

PVT - XO

I joined Grey RC on a whim. I mainly just wanted to give it a chance, especially since at the time I had some friends there. I happened to pass first try and began my journey from there. At first, I enjoyed my time as a Grey RC. I was mainly just enjoying myself and having fun. After hitting SSG, I applied for a couple of lore characters. Finally, after failing a few, I passed Fixer tryouts. Around this time is when I started to really start loving the battalion.I had a lot of fun under Col as Boss and learned a lot. He was almost always in character and doing some kind of roleplay, so I would join in whenever I could. After a little while we rearranged Delta squad and got new members.It was at this moment together with Shockpoint and Spieler that I truly enjoyed my time as Fixer, one of the more boring characters in Delta squad. We had great squad synergy and would always roleplay together, no matter if it was a main server event or a deployment. Throughout this time I slowly ranked up and managed to get Captain.Around this time Col resigned and after Guac got BCMD he made me Boss/CMD.. Ever since, I’ve done my best to support Guac and the battalion in any way possible. And now thatGuac has moved on to SPEC REG, he has left me incharge at the rank of XO.

Why should you become a Battalion Commander?: Currently, I am the only member of Republic Commandos who wants to run for BCMD. It’s almost been 4 years since I first joined the server. Throughout my time on the server I’ve joined multiple battalions and learned a lot from each and every one of them. I’ve experienced a lot of different systems throughout my days, and I’ve gotten a pretty good understanding on what systems do work/don’t work, as well as how they work/don’t work. I’ve done a lot of experimenting and a lot of trial and error to get where I am currently, and I fully believe this is where I am meant to be. I love Republic Commandos more than any other battalion and truly feel at home here. I’m ready to do whatever I need to keep this battalion running and I will continue to do so even if I do not get this position. I have climbed the ranks of Enlisted, NCO and Officer many times, and each time I’ve proven myself by doing above and beyond what was expected of me. I’ve always been keen to do extra amounts of trainings, recruitments, regimental work, subunit work and intel work. Each time I’ve held a position I’ve always made sure to do my job and try my very best to do more than I am asked to.

Monday - Friday: 15:00 - 23:00+ CEST | 9:00-17:00+ EST
Saturday & Sunday: I’m always available as I have a very flexible schedule on weekends.

Where do you want your battalion or squad to be at the end of your term?: I have a lot of goals in mind. Most of these are plans that I’m already working on. Any of these can be implemented before I get accepted/denied. 

Rank structure 

Guac implemented a lore-accurate rank structure during his term. Currently, all RC join as a PVT and get promoted to PFC after getting their trainings. Once they are a PFC, they are able to go for a lore character. If they get a lore character and join a squad, they have the chance of being promoted to CPL/Squad XO by their squad lead, unless the spot is open. The highest rank a Grey RC can go to is SGT, and lore characters cannot go past CPL unless they become the battalion XO. Many members of the battalion have expressed dislike towards these changes, and I plan to reevaluate them. Before I keep/revert it, I want to look into alternate rank structures that can satisfy the people who want promotions and the people who want to make ranks have meaning in SOBDE. By the end of my term, I want to have a rank structure that is accepted by most of the battalion.

TECH/EOD

 I will work on any possible improvements to these trainings and then focus on getting them done more often. I’m already attempting to get more of them done and I will continue to do so throughout my term.

Public Image

 Something I already have been working on with Guac is improvements to Republic Commandos image. Doing this by staying in character and being professional. It’s really important to increase and improve roleplay as well. We’ve already made great lengths to this but there is still more to improve o

Grey RC

 For a while now Grey RC has been in a tough spot where it hasn’t fully been working. To most people it feels like a waiting position.. Where you just wait for a lore character spot to open. We’ve already attempted to tackle this issue and started experimenting with what we can and I wish to continue to experiment in different ways. I hope by the end of my term we’ll be able to get Grey RC into a spot where people actually want to be it and stick around as one.

Your app didn't go into too much depth about specifics but the areas you wanted to address are dead on and I think a slow and steady approach on these types of changes for SOBDE is a good approach. You will do great!

This guy is literally Omalic. Can anyone please tell me a time where you have seen Lyonaxis and Omalic talking at the same time? Never happened. It's just an Omalic alt.

Crazy almost like that system doesn't support a battalion. It seems like you also dislike this system and you unconsciously use the term "battalion" when referring to SOBDE which makes me very happy. I like that the people who worked for SOBDE to make it comfortable as a BATTALION are going to have a chance to see it be a BATTALION rather than the SOBDE of old but actually no because Grey RC. TLDR please make the ranks work similar to that of a battalion, SOBDE was great when this policy was adopted (from what I was seeing).

This isn't a BAD thing per se right, cause the Grey RC is the trooper of SOBDE, and the meat and potatoes of being SOBDE is the lore characters. It's a good observation but I would hope that the thought of Grey RC waiting for a position doesn't impede on SOBDE progress. That's all.

Overall I hope that SOBDE gets a BCMD that actually treats the shit like a BATTALION (which is so painful to say but it is the reality). +1 

Also a question for you:

Do you have anything to say, or any plans (or plan to not touch) Outreach programs from SOBDE to the outside of SOBDE? I personally have gripes with the entire thing however I would like to know what your opinion is about it.

+1 This app is a little lacking in actual plans, but the Battalion is in a spot where thats not a big deal. I usually don't like an app this bare, but what you said is exactly right, it takes time to evaluate and discuss these things which I can already see you doing now as XO. Good luck and Dont EVER Delete Garfield Memes
