  1. I have been apart of synergy since about late 2017 to early 2018. I joined after leaving my previous server behind and wanting to join into a larger community than the previous one I was a part of. First day on the server I decided to join into 21st and met a lot of good people that I am still friends with to this day. I have given Synergy hours upon hours of my time and I have gotten nothing in return. It has turned into a one sided relationship and I can't do that anymore. I need better and healthier uses for my time so this is it for me. I want to be honest with you all and say that this letter has been one of the most bittersweet things I've ever had to write. It's not easy to say goodbye to a community that has been such an important part of my life. Over the years, I've made so many great memories and friendships with all of you, and it's hard to imagine not being a part of this community anymore. But the truth is, I've been feeling stuck for a while now. I've been trying to find ways to contribute and make a difference, but I've been spinning my wheels and not making any real progress. I've wasted too much time trying to figure out what my role should be, and I've come to the realization that maybe it's time for me to step back and let others take the reins. I want to thank each and every one of you for making this community such a special place. I'll miss all of you, and I hope that our paths will cross again in the future. To all of the hold outs still in synergy: @KaiserWilhelm @Gadget - I apologize that I couldn't continue on with you two. Wilhelm you have fantastic potential to be the force that 21st needs to continue on. Gadget I've known you for a very long time at this point and we didn't get along at points but I feel that your insight and opinions about 21st are just what it needs. I hope our paths cross again for the both of you. @BadDog - I am sorry to leave so soon after our chat. Thank you for all the insight and constant drive to wanting to make 21st a better place for all troopers. Continue being one of the greats. @Brooklyn - You and I got to know each other while being in SOBDE and I have enjoyed every interaction since. If I needed to choose who to be in a trench with and knew had my back it'd be you boss. Keep in contact and lemme know when to get on 76! @Tomm - I wish we had more time in 21st. Keep being a great Wrecker. @ETsilvian - Gotta get that chair under control. You've been a great Yoda and I really appreciate all of the times we talked. @Quassont - Lots of late nights full of stupid shit that made me almost fall out of my chair. Thank you for all the good times. Keep in touch. @KaiserNeiner- Thank you for all of the fantastic events. Keep the life flowing through Synergy. @Marvel - Was great getting to know you over our time in SOBDE. Don't drive yourself crazy. @Xaze - Time and time again your drive and creativity have pushed this community back into a state of greatness. Thank you for all of your efforts. Make sure to take breaks!

+1 Love quality of life improvements
  5. Name: Bitter RP Rank: BCMD Suggestion: Currently the rank structure has allowed for people to stagnate in either SNCO or low officer ranks. As a BCMD one of the main struggles with the new structure is rewarding players for helping and playing the game. Work is a requirement for any of the ranks, problems with rewarding that work without over promoting and putting yourself into a corner is basically impossible. I think the best way to continue to reward good work, activity and allowing for better seeing progression is adding back a few ranks for this purpose. I have heard and have two ideas on the best way for this to help. Bring back two NCO Ranks and 1 Officer ranks This would even out the differences between the two as the current list looks like this Major Captain LT WO SGM SFC Sergeant The NCO ranks only have 3 ranks to rank work and to reward activity and prepare them for Officer Positions This is the adjusted list to allow for more flexibility and time negate stagnation in ranks Idea 1: 2 Commanders Colonel Major Captain LT WO SGM 1SG SFC SSG Sergeant The other way that it could be reordered is by adding 1 officer rank and 1 NCO rank and 1 additional commander slot Idea 2 : 3 Commanders Colonel Major Captain LT WO SGM SFC SSG Sergeant Implementation: Changes to backend things like MCS Lore: More Army Lore!
  6. 4/4/5 More boardable craft interiors makes events much more engaging.
  7. 3/4/5 Great entertainment for a patrol!
  8. RP Name: Bitter Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:43580258 - 76561198047426244 VIP (Y/N): Y Age: 24 Timezone: PST What was your previous staff rank?: SA Are you currently staff on a different server?: No Why did you leave the staff team?: Honestly I was SA so long ago. Most likely just didn't have time on server and resigned from it. Why do you want to rejoin the staff team? (3 sentence minimum): Currently I want to support my battalion more by either hosting and or helping with events. I'm seeing all of the effort that GM's are putting in to help my enjoyment and I want to give some back. I'm knowledgeable about garrysmod and I love playing characters so I think I can very helpful in adapting to any role I need to be in. How do you feel your previous time as a staff member went? (3 sentence minimum): Previously as staff I felt that I had helped with events that I was asked too. I really enjoy hopping in and helping where I can either by playing a character and or just making sure that the other staff member isn't overwhelmed. I honestly wasn't the best staff member before but I feel like the time away from it has given me prospective and the ability to mature and understand the position better. Do you understand by re-applying to get your previous rank back that you will be tested on your knowledge of the server rules and practices?: Yes I understand
  9. 3/4/5 Good event to capitalize off the numbers of GM. Infiltrate a base and defuse a bomb was great fun!
  10. After looking over everything this is a huge +1 tons of fixes and additions for LFS
  11. Bug Type (Server:): Gameplay Severity level (Low - Medium - High): Medium Evidence (if you can): Weapon list of HVO job Description of the bug: Currently HVO has a Z-6 and doesn't have the rocket launcher or LFS launcher How can we recreate it: Swap onto the job and look at the weapon list.
  12. 4/5/2 Fantastic event that really showed off the potential of large server events. Server Performance really was taking a hit but I didn't even notice as I was mowing down droids. Looking forward to the next one!
  13. Was genuinely thinking about putting this up my self +1
  14. 3/3/4 Standard shoot'em nothing too special could have used some diversity what to do during the event like a ship interior or some other objective other than repel droids. All around good event
  15. Steam Name: Bitter RP Name: Bitter RP Rank: LT Steam ID: STEAM_ 0:0:43580258 Battalion you are applying for: Galactic Marines Experience: 21st - PVT to MSG I joined the server and fell in love with the marine style of RP. At that time I was under Matra, Qal and Gene. They really showed me the value of hard work towards a battalion. They also started to teach me the basics of GMOD and leadership. 501st - SGM to Captain After my stint in the 21st I felt like I wanted to go into a more "lore" intensive position and I went to the 501st as I loved all of the characters in the battalion. This was also the first time I had broken through to the officer ranks and got to watch over the regiments. At the time as I was helping the REGL with his things like, manage the individual branches, and revive ones that were starting to die. Going from CSM to 2ndLT was a big jump for me but I was excited for the challenge and wanted to prove my worth to the battalion by helping and advising in any way I could. 21st - PVT to WO and ARCL I took a 2 year hiatus after 501st as my life had changed around that time and I wanted to focus more on myself and my own happiness at the time. However, after 2 years I had heard of all of the changes that had happened on Synergy and I wanted to come back to reconnect with some old friends. I got into the 21st battalion and started to work on whatever I could get my hands on. There were problems at the time with the ARC program in 21st and I wanted to improve it and make it more well rounded. Spec RCMD I'll be frank here. Most of you will probably know me from my Spec RCMD term as I went from a rando 21st WO to the advisor of four battalions, which were 21st, CG, DU and SOBDE. I stepped into this position with what I thought was a good understanding of what I should do in High Command, but looking back I don't believe I understood what the position truly entailed. I wanted to help my home battalion of 21st and the rest of Spec in anyway I could. Unfortunately I found myself overstepping in areas that I shouldn't have along with making some bad decisions in my term. What this taught me a how to be a good advisor, when I should step in, and how I should go about it. Even though I did not exceed in this position, it showed me many things I needed to improve and how I could go about doing that. If I never had the shot as the Spec RCMD then I would not have improved on my leadership and management skills as much or thoroughly. SOBDE - PVT to CSM During my Spec RCMD term I really started to admire the comradery and teamwork that SOBDE all shared between themselves. After my RCMD I moved over to SOBDE and loved the way in which they operated; focusing more on the people and the RP in which they took part in. It took me a while and multiple tries at getting a lore character in SOBDE and I have made many friends inside of the battalion. Delta Squad Boss and XO Getting the position of Boss and the rank of Commander gave me a unique overview into the day to day of the battalion. I started to get even more involved as I now had a group of people that I have had the privilege of learning from, teaching, working with, and seeing where they wanted to take their RP to get it to the next level. I have also helped SOBDE create a new style of tryout that helps pull more focus onto the roleplay aspect of the game. This has helped to improve multiple different areas of the battalion along with the contributions of the officer core and all of the people in SOBDE. Captain Gregor and BCMD After Boss I stepped into the role of BCMD and Captain Gregor. In this position, I got to work on my primary goal of improving all of the recruits that went through the GreyRC program. I did this by making sure they were competent with a blaster, knew how to RP well, and ensured that they could take those skills to wherever they venture after SOBDE. It taught me a lot about creating working systems and how to implement them successfully. GM - PVT to LT and HVYL After a short hiatus from the server, I returned to help the battalion I had the fondest memories in. Started by joining a sub unit, and then became a regimental lead to further the battalion. GM still has a way to go to become as great as it once was. However, with my help I am helping to progress our success. Why should you become a Battalion Commander?: Determination GM is beginning to gather great presence again on the server as we are continuing to show face and interact with the community. I want to take what has been added to GM and improve on it to allow GM to really be recognized as a great battalion to be apart of again. How I will do this is in three phases : Phase 1 : Interest and Membership One of the hardest things to attempt to fix is membership inside of a battalion as it is subject to forces out of my and the servers control. In order to help increase the likely hood that someone would choose to be a part of this Battalion, I would ensure that we are creating one that is a great place where people want to connect and hang out. In addition, I would like to create a weekly schedule of an episodic Patrol or SIM. I will personally reach out to Game Masters outside of my Battalion to assist in creating more entertainment like this. By doing this it will create more retention in the server and more activities to take part in. Phase 2 : Infrastructure and Systems As membership increases I will setup proper systems for responsibilities of officers, regiments, and subunits. I will assist in getting people into regiment positions and ensure that they are self-sustaining. These will be self sustaining by equipping the leads and officers with the proper training to allow them to succeed. With these Regiments I will start filling subunits with people who are going to continue to innovate on the specialty of their unit. From there, I will help the Marines to develop their skills by putting them through unique situations in combat to allow them to have a diverse skill set in any warfare situation. Phase 3 : Experimental Phase Finally we get to the experimental phase. At this point GM should be stable enough to allow for unique changes and tests to see if these changes would work permanently. Here is a example of one experiment. Tactical Marine Conditioning : A GMACT Lite GMACT was a very difficult training in the days of the old GM. I would like to take some pieces from it and consolidate it into a brand new version that teaches the same lessons in a fun and challenging way. I would like to rework it into TMC which would be a more modern version of GMACT. It would be inter battalion training however, if anyone outside of GM wanted to take part in it, they would be welcome. Subject to change, but these are the pieces I would like to integrate and are not in any specific order : Marksmanship Ship Boarding Assault Training Defense Training Breach and Corner Check Simulations Do you understand the lore of your battalion?: Very well yes. Availability: My schedule is much more open to allow for increased time on the server. When I am not doing something IRL I will more than likely be in game and available. If not I'm always near my phone, so feel free to DM me whenever. Estimate of how long you've played on Synergy Roleplay?: Somewhere in the ballpark of 2000 to 2500 Do you have a microphone?: Yes Where do you want your battalion to be at the end of your term?: Stability When my term has ended I will have the battalion be more active and engaging; I will have people in positions who are actively pushing the battalion forward; and the player count inside of GM be stable and continually growing. Infrastructure I will have created infrastructure that allows the battalion to have consistent training, entertainment, and socialization that will continue after my term has ended. I will also have people be excited to continue growing their own ideas on creating unique and engaging experiences. Experimentation At the end I will hope that some of the ideas in which I experimented on have now become permanent changes to better the battalion as a whole. I will also have encouraged other members of the battalion to experiment on their own ideas and implement them.

Gameplay 1/5: God awful, I was being shot from above from below the map. The second I poked my head out I was hit multiple times. Nothing special or interesting just run here shoot this, run there shoot that and get blown up by a AAT charging straight at me. C&E 2/5: Looked like the care was there for the start of the event however, once it started droid spawns and health were stupid and all over the place. The objective once the event started was nonexistent for us clones on the ground we took the dish and just played a standard shoot'em up SP: 4/5 didn't have any problems with performance other then the restarts lol. Constructive Criticism: More objectives for the standard clones other than just a run and gun. Setting the health of droids lower and giving people a reason for droids to being spawned on top of them like droid pods or drill pods. Passive RP or defense of a structure would have broken up the monotony of turn corner and shoot til they aren't moving anymore. Overall: 2/5 Waste of good potential. It was there at the start but flatlined when we got into it and didn't improve over the time in the event.
  17. 3/3/5 Gameplay: Standard shoot'em up nothing special to ride home about good overall utilization of all forces types Ground, Armored and Air units. C&E: Looked to be a thrown together thing(Not a bad thing just a observation) so no specific overall goal. SP: Great as always. Constructive criticism: Could have used a goal that was understandable even to those joining late to the event. Could have used a break up in the event to add a secondary objective or some RP to spice it up a bit Overall 3/5
  18. 3/5/5 Gameplay was more of a standard shoot'em up however enjoyable with the comms and tank gameplay. The care was amazing fantastic sound effects to bring everyone into immersion. Server performance continues to amaze me as we test it. Constructive Criticism: Could have used some more variety to game up the shoot'em up. Swapping from attacking to defending a location was a good choice and we could have used a extraction or something else to tie it in a bow
  19. I'm a little late lol. One of the best personalities I have ever worked with. One of the last great officers of the core I was honored to be a part of o7
