Why should you become Admiral?:

I believe I should become the next Admiral due to my vast experience on the server and now in the navy. I've been in the navy for about 6 months now and in that time I've learned and experienced everything I need to lead and improve The Navy. I'm already pushing and have been pushing for changes within The Navy that aim to promote and reward activity as we aim for consistent naval activity. I've already been in command of The Navy alongside the other Admirals for about a month now with Freck having stepped back to allow us to try our hands and command and now with him having left (miss you man) I've been left in charge. I believe that this time in the Navy combined with my experience in command of battalions and regiments alike would make me the best candidate to lead The Navy forward, being used to the workings of commanding a group and the working of high command.

Do you understand  the purpose of Naval on the server?:

Yes. The purpose of The Navy on the server is to guide and lead the player base as a guiding "command". While each battalion has its commanders the base must be run by someone and that responsibility belongs to The Navy as we alongside the commanders and officers guide and lead the player base. We work to ensure roleplay moves forward be that through giving orders during events to giving out base passes. We also are responsible for many of the big trainings we have on the server such as engineering, medical and flight, and due to this and what I've just mentioned we are a vital and fundamental part of roleplay on the server. An active navy can improve the overall roleplay experience and coordination during events and downtime which is why we strive for quality naval members that live up to these expectations. The responsibility of the naval is a big one which is why I believe we need experienced and capable people in charge of it, which we at this time do have.

Availability:

I work most days, but I don't have a set schedule. During the evenings I'm almost always available unless I'm at the gym or doing something with friends, the same goes for weekends. I am always available on discord and check it regularly during the day so if you can't reach me in-game or in TS you can always send me a Discord dm and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Give a brief overview of your achievements on the server:

MoH Recipient

Captain Rex | 2 Terms

Attack Regimental Commander | Don't remember how many terms xd

Marshal Commander | 2 Terms, First EU Marshal

Palpatine | First EU Palp, Only person to hold the position of Palpatine and Marshal at the same time.

Kal Skirata | 2 Terms, Playing a part of the SO BDE rework

Vice Admiral | 6 months of experience within the navy with most being as an officer

3x Veteran Admin | 3rd times the charm I guess xd

Do you have a microphone?:

Yes.

Where do you want the Naval to be at the end of your term?:

I want The Navy to be in a solid position to continue working without key individuals. By that, I mean that I want a competent and big officer core that has divided responsibilities in Naval. We're currently reliant on the High Command of Naval with the number of officers we have and the little responsibility they hold. I want to ensure we increase the number of officers and increase their responsibility to make them both more committed to the Navy, more prepared to take command if or once they get there and more involved in the running of the Navy. Alongside this I want the NCO core to overall do more, to be consistent in their work. That rather than having a person go on naval once and again to have a more stable active NCO core that consistently is around to make sure Naval is represented on the server. To do this we currently have some plans underway with more to come, which I'll speak of below.

How do you plan to change the Naval under your command?:

Currently, we have a lot of changes in the works for the navy. We've just reworked the priority of our regiments shifting focus to the Medical and Engineering branch by allowing Flight to be more of an overseeing entity and RSB a 2ndary role. We are currently in the works of reworking our merit system to a simplified and more rewarding system aiming to improve the amount of work and the activity of the NCO core. As I said above with where I wanted the Navy to be at the end of my term I want to push our officers to do more, by moving more decisions through the officer core rather than just the Command, by making sure they hold respobiliaties within the regiment as officers and leads, and by increasing the number of officers by giving people sort of a trial period within the Naval Officer core to see if they would fit or not and moving some people up who we believe have potential. This leads to another change we've been wanting to do. Ranks, we've long discussed the number of ranks within the Navy. We had a major change a couple of months back with a large number of ranks being removed. With that being the case the number of ranks drastically decreased in the NCO core which has led to longer promotion times and people not being promoted as often and in turn not being motivated enough to play with them not feeling like they're progressing. We are currently in the work of changing merits and adding rewards for hard work to see if this will work as that extra push they need as we don't lightly want to go back on a major change which the rank changes were. I do not want to rush into such a decision and will work to complete the changes already in the works before we consider rank additions. And if that time comes we're speaking of adding NCOs ranks, not officer ones. But with the changes now in the work with making sure work is properly awarded we'll be setting up goals for activity and work as a team to try and reach those goals, be that how many things we want to be done in a week. The command structure is in agreement on this and we're in the work of discussing it with the officer core which goes back to us trying to involve them more.

Do you understand that if you go inactive that you will be removed from your position?:

Yes.

Do you understand that your position has a three month term limit and you must reapply after three months to maintain your Admiral rank?:

Yes

So, a question.

You say in your application a few times that you want to have the "NCO core to overall do more". While I can agree that the NCO core in nearly every facet is what keeps any group running, you haven't mentioned the work of an officer. It seems like you want it to serve as an advisory role to the NCO's, but I can't quite find much of what other responsiblities they will have, nor have you mentioned them needing to "do more".

My question is, what are the current duties of an officer, and how do you think they should increase or decrease to meet the standards of the Navy?
