-1, you can already go stealth, not sure you need these cloaks to make that happen. I think it should largely be kept to the small groups who in lore could actually do this since it's such an OP power. Doesn't make sense to expand GC in this sort of way but I see what you're going for

Yeah, they let them apply and even moved them into pending. And then denied them on the day they all got moved to 2ndLT and replaced by non-21st. it's a little easier to deny these hopeful applicants if they can't really talk back.

I understand the need to institute change in what is seen as a failing system. But don't you think it's a tad cruel to completely drop this on top of a bunch of unknowing 21st who were expecting some of their people to gain positions. Like you could've closed off applications to begin with but let them all run just to deny all of them? and the fact you removed the most unique subunit to replace it with a plaster of a 2nd havoc squad. You sapped a lot of the unique structures and made it almost just 212th. It has the main battalion GM/212th, a jetpack sub unit 44nd/2ndAC, a elite subunit focus on special ops KU/GC, they even both have removed sub units SO/Foxtrot. These changes sort of fundamentally flipped a batt upside down and tell all the officers to leave by wednesday and expect it to be popular? Don't you think you could've made people more aware, maybe had some sympathy for the people of the battalion? And now it's all dropped on Bacta's head like he's the one and only head of this and the pioneer when it probably was a proposal from HC he just accepted. And there was 0 input from the actual fucking battalion. Why would you lead them on like this just to fuck them this hard? You kill 21st, make it purple 212th and just tell the officers to fuck off? What happened the last 2 times this shit was tried? Is it hard to learn from your mistakes?

I agree with you 100% but at the end of the day Disney is running a business. New characters can be a big gamble. They can't always take this risk. Sometimes they get lucky with stuff like the mandalorian but do you remember how hard peopled soyed out when they saw ahsoka or boba fett. I'll admit I kinda did too, cause its cool. Nostalgia and already established characters are just to easy a money maker. Business wise I think Disney sees more value in old characters because they just consistently make the big money

why can't you do this with BH, Navy, and Jedi? Why do they need representation directly but senate does not? Surely you can just ask them what they want? What if suggestions come up for senate they can't respond. You just have to assume what they want because you cannot represent all the wishes of Mas and the senate? the reason we have direct representatives in meetings is so they can respond and gain new information to alter or reinforce their opinions.

Regimentals are selected, usually from those battalions, to represent the wishes of only those 3 battalions. You are not chosen solely to represent the wishes of the senate, since you are not only not chosen from but also not chosen to represent the senate I think it's strange to assume you will always represent their wishes 100%. You sit almost as an elected dictator to enact your plans upon all groups, the groups then use their representatives to come to compromise over your plans. The senate will no longer have this at all, so when their future is being discussed they would have to trust someone not apart of their group or chosen to represent their interests to do exactly that. This is less like having a reg represent 3 battalions and more like having the marshal represent all battalions. Regimentals very noticeably are forced into more hands off apporaches in which they tend to guide the unity of a regiment and assist in the plans of the regiment. Palpatine and Marshal, since they are such indirect represenatives do not act really to represent interests but to forward an elected agenda of the whole server. Your agendas within the senate would no longer have a senate representative to compromise with in High Command. I would like to add I think the role of regimentals is probably heavily under represented. And I do not support their equal ranking to people like Guild Lead or Yularen as I believe regimentals represent the views are many differing groups. I would support expansion of the insight and ability to interact with HC for BCMDs. You seem confused, Conrad. I can explain anything you didn't understand :)

Infact Senate now stands as the only solo group or regiment to not have some sort of directly chosen representative within High Command. BH, Navy, Jedi all have their own REG represenatatives as stand alone groups, each regiment then has their chosen represenatitve. However now no one chosen from the senate stands in HC. You represent all people, and are defintely not chosen to represent the smallest group. So you're saying Senate has no representation, we just have to expect you to understand's it's wishes as much as the people within it?

Didn't you move Navy under the Marshal? And if it is true can you explain the process behind this? Who's going to represent the Senate within high Command? Are they not now at the whim of High Command with no voice within the actual group that dictates their future, due to the fact they're a literal High Command dead end that has no way of getting into any High Command Positions?

Lmao this is not a good excuse Gmod is doing really well. Why can IFN and SUP stay afloat so well? I think it's a little embarrassing the level of disconnect from the community you're personally speaking from. You're the only person, which includes jad, who believes communication between the leadership and community is actually very decent. It is evidently not because its one of the biggest complaints players have. They never know whats happening, so the assumption is nothing is happening at all. Like even updating the trello might make us a little happier. People don't think the devs are shit at their job, people don't think they ever communicate progress. Which seems to be an issue entirely solved by using the trello. People are talking about the server dying because they care about the community and want it to keep growing. We can't always be positive when our peak player count in the last week was 58. People feel like progress on updates isn't good enough and that they're left in the dark. If this update is being worked on its clear the community wants more information about it or anything as proof. This is the only current server we have open. Synergy is a community but one built around a gmod server. People who resign from the server often rarely come back to teamspsak so there's clearly a correlation between the server pop and synergy community population. People don't join the community through teamspeak. The server is not self sustaining as players are always leaving, we cannot rely on a core base of people if everyone leaves eventually. We need new players and gmod is how we get them.

You are right about this, in all battalions a Senior Officer doesn't hold the power to change the way the battalion trains people. This is executive power reserved only for the BCMD and the High Command he often lends it to. You do need to be BCMD to make these policy changes since it's how multiple members of the battalion function not just yourself. +1, your plans seem solid and it sounds like you have a good idea of where you wish to take 21st
