Besides from being burnt out, college is calling my name. When I rejoined in March, I expected to minge and never come back but of course I stayed. Hey there, just made a forums account so thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Jess, I've been in the server a week or two now, spent most of that time playing as CT to learn the ropes as I'm pretty new to the game, but now I'm confident and have joined RANCOR, hoping to have some fun. I'm originally from Zimbabwe, but a couple years ago was able to move to the UK, where I live now. I study medicine and am going to university next week to begin studying that full-time and earn my degree, and I also play CS:GO semi-professionally. This one actually really bites. I came back and connected with all my old friends, but you were one of the few people that I really got to know that I hadn't before. You are one of the most laid back and funny dudes that I met on the server and I actually couldn't wait to continue the Omega Storyline. Sucks about how that shook out. Steam Name: Stix | Synr.gg RP Name: Stix RP Rank: BCMD Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:82818651 Regiment you are applying for: Recon Regimental Experience: 501st In 501st I achieved multiple positions multiple times under different Rex’s the highest I ever achieved was Commander Under Acorn and I served under Quill during his term as Rex and I performed as any commander would and I was TCC for a long time as well and I reformed most of the tryouts and revived TC from what State I was given it in. 104th In 104th my time as Captain Dash-44 was brief but I helped Turbine at the time re-work all of the Wolfpack Trials and helped overall with the battalion and my time as Plo Koon I helped I believe Spartan at the time run the battalion as he gave he BCMD equivalency so I acted as a BCMD and assisted the 104th in basic things and helped improved the Jedi Program within the battalion. SOBDE: In SOBDE I started out by getting Foxtrot Tech a few times back when it was in the SOBDE regiment but I never really stuck around until I eventually got Atin and moved through the ranks until Turbine got BCMD Niner in which we helped most battalions across the server helping with inner battalion issues and sims across the server spreading a positive image of SOBDE then Turbine got removed from BCMD in which I stepped up to BCMD Niner but I burnt myself out in the end after a month and stepped down. Then I came back to SOBDE as Arligan Zey in which I helped SOBDE re-work their Jedi Trials and the addition of Grey RC Unnamed Jedi. 41st: In 41st I came in right after my break from the community and tried out for Barriss and got it in which I was plunged into Wrens BCMD Term which had a very interesting moment in which I helped out as best as I could then I was with Cloud through all of his first term in which I helped change the Jedi programm and fix some documents and overall assist the battalion as best as I could and I made it to the rank of XO and during Clouds 2nd Term as Gree I achieved Luminara and still assisted with normal activities until I resigned. Rancor: I joined Rancor Under Mitchells term as Maze after I transferred from CG and I progressed my way through the ranks until I jumped up to Captain Fordo in which myself and Jerry attempted to help as best as possible to hold Rancor together as at the time myself and Jerry where the only Officers in the battalion so we juggled as much as we could while the battalions got a more stable officer core eventually I got Commander Colt and eventually Valiant in which I lead Alpha and moved up lots of people quickly through the ranks to help improve the officer core and stabilize it in which I believe I achieved with my current Officer Core. Why should you become a Regimental Commander?: I should become the regimental of Recon as I have shown dedication to the server and I believe I can fulfill the role as Recon Reg and both assist Rancor and 41st in bettering the battalions as a whole by helping improve seriousness within the regiment and overall activity I also want to try and bring both battalions together to improve the recon element of the recon regiment as I currently believe that recon on synergy is quite lack luster and basically removes the full purpose of a recon regiment if they don’t actually perform recon, one of my biggest issues at the time of being BCMD was that other units with in either spec or attack just took the use of recon regiment making using them obsolete so I want to try and utilize that element of the recon regiment better. I have also shown that I want to help improve the recon regiment I mean I was XO of 41st and BCMD of Rancor at one point in which I actively helped both battalions in any way I actually could at the time so I believe I have the drive to actually assist both battalions in anyway I can, I have spoken with both Shpack and Bird who will be taking over Rancor after I leave and I have discussed my interest in the position of recon reg and I have both of there support for the position so I believe I can fill the requirements that both leads of the Recon Battalions could set me. Do you understand the lore of your regiment?: Yes Rancor: Rancor was a battalion of ARC and ARF troopers lead by Commanders Havoc,Colt and Blitz and Jedi General Shaak ti there was another Clone called Hammer who didn’t really have a known purpose and they were primarily stationed on Kamino and were there to replace but also assist the Cuy’val Dar in the training of clones and to help look for ARC troopers among the Clone Cadets 41st: 41st Elite Corps was a Corps underneath the 9th Assault Corps and they were well known for specializing in hostile terrain warfare, as well as alien recruitment and counter-insurgency expert, often operating in primitive and grueling conditions while forging alliances with indigenous populations this was done through the 41st BCMD Gree being an expert on alien species and customs and this is also how he attained his name as he was named after the Gree population. There were other notable members within the 41st like Jedi General Luminara Unduli and Jedi Commander Barriss Offee who led the Corps as their Jedi. This is an addition with the permisson of Bird Bird wants to help Rancors Recon side of the battalion by attempting to add more then just ARC to Rancor as such Bird has expressed interest in adding an A "Sudo Sub Unit" Now I would need to explain this as bird wants Traumas Unit in short but realisticly Bird wants a small group of people who can operate as ARF troopers and we have both agreed ARC isn't meant for Recon so he wants Traumas Unit or something similar that can preform the function of a small recon unit that could assist in Rancor during deployments or events by preforming RP as a recon operative which Bird would believe is lacking from Rancor How do you plan to improve relations within your regiment?: Firstly I want to encourage a strong relationship within the regiment itself as currently I believe that 41st and Rancor can tolerate each other but if given the option which I attempted to help from my end of the equation while being BCMD of Rancor myself and Cloud couldn’t really manage to bridge the gap so I hope to be able to do so as Regimental and help both Rancor and 41st become battalions that work closely together. I would also attempt trainings between both battalions which doesn’t seem to work most of the time but it seems like people actually like doing them so I would attempt to conduct them regularly so it gives people something to do during dry periods on the server. Steam Name:Boo Radley RP Name:Stockings, Gett RP Rank:Executive Officer Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:49827084 Regiment you are applying for: Recon Experience: RANCOR Battalion [May 2018-December 2020] (*Note, this period of time has numerous breaks and returns to the battalion, due to numerous reasons such as graduating college, taking a break from Clone Trooper to focus on Jedi or Bounty Hunter) Rank: [Private-Major] During my time as a member of the RANCOR Battalion, as it used to be fully capitalized when I first joined, I had worked on many things within the battalion and gone through a number of battalion commanders at the time Ranging from Fizzik to Dragon to Miller and even Merril, Sixta, & Dennis I believe once I left. Early on, I wasn’t too interested in becoming an ARC Trooper at the time, since Trauma’s Unit was still part of RANCOR. For about 2 weeks I still completed the ARC Trainings but stuck around as a TU ARF Trooper. However, I would come to change my mind and finally become a fully fledged RANCOR ARC Trooper. As I rose through the ranks of RANCOR I learned we were adding Alpha ARC’s to the battalion and removing TU. At this point from what I can remember I was a Junior Officer or maybe a Captain. However, I would go on to become the first Alpha ARC Captain Fordo through the Alpha ARC Tryout. As I believe, Metro was Valiant & Dragon was Blitz at that point in time, but don’t quote me on it. For about a month I would help hold the tryouts with RANCOR HC and Metro to find who would be the other Alpha ARC named characters that we have to this day. At this point in time, it was extremely rare to see non-commanders host ARC Trainings, but I often helped during Selections & W&T. Leadership was not the same as it today and only required one host. However time would catch up to me as I would not have the time to continue to be as active in college, so at the rank of Major I resigned from Fordo so that another person can take up a role that requires more activity. I was Fordo for about a month and a half. I was later granted “Notable Alpha” for my work as Fordo. I was sent to the RANCOR Reservists and granted “Notable Member” by Dragon. During my Winter break and occasional times I was able to hop back on the server, I would spend it primarily in Rancor enjoying my time with friends. Later on towards the end of Dragon’s time as Blitz, I would partake in a few key matches of BvB & the championship match. Later into the Summer of 2019, during Miller’s term, I took up the role of RTO (Rocket Trooper Officer) and helped recruit Rancor ARC’s into the specialization. I became one of the earliest participants to receive the Alpha ARC Designation in Merrill’s training. First I acquired Elite ARC, but on my second attempt I would achieve Alpha Status, and take up Alpha-07. I’ve since had to change it due to the ARC wipe, but I now hold Alpha-44. Key takeaways: - Initial activity was high but due to outside factors was forced to take a step back. - One of the early Alpha ARC’s and the first Fordo, playing a large role in Alpha-ARC at the time. - Helped in ARC Trainings where needed, with high command - Stayed a loyal member of the battalion for a long period of time. 41st Elite Corps, Improcco Company [December 2020- Present] Rank: [Major - Executive Officer] Following the ARC wipe that had occurred, I questioned my use in Rancor as an ARF Trooper on the reserves. I didn’t think it was suitable so I decided to join a new battalion with my friend Sixta, and it turned out to be the 41st Elite Corps. Wren was the current BCMD, and it seemed the battalion was hurting for members. I ended up joining, one to one as a Major. Immediately, I would take up the role of Heavy Lead and would stay that until I became Commander Gett. Being honest, I did not do much for the Heavy specialization of the 41st Elite Corps. I didn’t see the point of it being needed in a Recon Battalion. However, I would search for members to become HVYO & would gladly accept members. I even wrote up a document for Heavy training, involving suppression, formations, and tactics. Later I became the BARC lead which is my favorite part of the 41st. This is now known as MECHL. While Unkindled was lead over the AT-RT, I took up BARC Trainings. I gathered individuals within the 41st trustworthy enough and made them my BARCO’s, until the position was scrapped under Cloud. Here I would coordinate with the BARCO’s & myself, and we’d simply host BARC Trainings for the server and keep a log of them. Eventually, post-Wren, the BARC Roster was broken and in need of repairs. During Clouds first term, I went ahead and created a new BARC Roster, far different than many of the past. In its creation, I understood the annoyance of having to be re-trained in the same thing over and over again because someone new had taken a position and wanted to look like they were doing something by making a new roster and wiping a training. For the new roster I transferred each person that the old roster still had, some battalions were not so lucky as the original roster sheet created errors for them, but most battalions were added to the new roster. The new roster is completely automated and ensures troopers data is always logged and saved for the future. Due to the continued work I put in the battalion I was able to progress myself up into 41st HC as a Commander, and soon later Executive Officer. This wasn’t necessarily my first command position (See Less Relevant Experience), but it was my first as on a clone whitelist. While in the HC I’ve since taken up the role as Intel Lead in the battalion and try to focus heavily on our ever fluctuating roster and getting more people into Intel to help make sure nothing is missed. Lastly, I lead Improcco Company, the newly added sub-unit in the 41st Elite Corps. As it joined the battalion I made sure there wasn’t a tryout barrier of entry. Instead, I wanted to find battalion members who were active, showing their loyalty to the 41st, and being a role model to the other members of the battalion. In June 2019, I chose to focus on my Jedi primarily and I became a Consular Manager and a Sage Manager. Oftentimes, I would host a Consular trial everyday and a Sage trial twice a week. In RP, I worked with Jocasta Nu at the time ( I really can’t remember who it was, but it may have been Newt or Lie) and I helped with writing a document for studying that holds a lot of lore of the Jedi Order. Soon enough I became a Jedi Master with 2 other newly promoted Jedi Masters. I went on and waited some time and became Adi Gallia with the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps. When they were on the server. While working with them, I helped work towards creating a Lightning Squad Jedi Trial, and worked with BARC Trainings while Adi. I also kept up the standard of being a Master hosting trials. I helped many branches and managers by hosting trials with them as well as Knight and Youngling trials. Many times, I would be taking sometimes up to 3-4 Youngling/Knight trials per week. With the continued dedication to the Order, I reached the rank of High Jedi General until I would choose to resign from Master. I was granted the usage of Purple Crystals and I was granted Honorary Master as well. I was Honorary Master for perhaps 3 or 4 months until it was wiped. To be honest I did eventually become one of those guys at council meetings saying “This new idea is bad, the old way was better.” However now, I see a fair amount of improvements within the order. Moving forward, I gladly accepted my role as an Elder Knight and rarely make appearances on the Order now. Bounty Hunter: Stockings Versock [February 2020- Present] Ranks[Freelancer-Guild Leader-Hunter] In the guild, I became a Guild Lieutenant under Hisoka (Hero) and would regularly host Bounty Hunter Evals for new members. It was particularly fun to train new BH’s into the Guild. In the role I played I also would grade BH’s bounties and make sure whether or not someone’s bounty was completed properly or improperly. A simple accept or deny role. Eventually Hero resigned, and a new Leader was needed and I was voted in by the Clan leaders at the time. From there I would be Guild Leader from April 2020 to July 2020. I took up the position looking to improve the guild as best as I could at the time. I recall Forseen coming to me and seeing if I could bring it back as it had nearly died out. Working a full time job did make it more challenging, but working from home was helpful nonetheless. I would implement the creation of BH Rank progression, Cartel, Friendly, and Lethal. They were a tier system and players could feel as though they are progressing their character. I also liked to implement time based bounties, as well as fun goofy ones occasionally. As Guild Leader I always made sure to enhance RP while on the server. In the later half of my position, I wanted to make sure there the lieutenants could handle the Guild and keep it from being removed. Although I wasn’t the greatest Guild Leader and many after me have made it far better than I could imagine, I like to think that without me taking it up, it may have ended up like how the CIS faction currently is. Now, I spend my time as a hunter gathering renown and looking to partake in the BH fun occasionally. I’ve been honored in the Guild with the Infamous Hunter due to my time as Guild Leader. Why should you become a Regimental Commander?: As an Executive Officer, it may seem odd to go for Regimental and skip the process of becoming Battalion Commander and so forth, but I think my extensive experience within the two battalions plays a large role in my decision to apply for this position. I’ve been exclusively in the Recon Regiment my whole time on the server spanning 3+ years at this point. Even when I played on my jedi character, I was still helping the Recon Regiment by working with the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps. I put a lot of effort and hardwork into many things that I put my mind to and strive for near perfection in the execution of anything I do. My work in handling multiple responsibilities within the battalion shows that I can handle the many responsibilities of the Recon Regimental. Do you understand the lore of your regiment?: Yes I do! Do you have a microphone?: Yes I do! Where do you want your regiment to be at the end of your tem?: At the current moment, I think the Recon Regiment is in a very good place. I want to do my part to maintain this presence, and continuously improve the regiment. At the end of my term, I would like to see the Regiment continuing to move smoothly as time progresses, all while keeping a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. I would hope to see a better connection between Rancor & 41st in a sense of mission teamwork. How do you plan to improve relations within your regiment?: One of the things I’ve always been in the community is personable. I can strike up a chat with anyone on the server about almost anything. I think this trait has gotten me very far in the community. I think I’m someone who’s great with communication and it’s perhaps one of my key expertise on the server. Utilizing it help communicate between two battalions something I can surely accomplish. A lot of this work can be shown in my duty as a Liaison for the community. In which I am an approachable confidant for the entire community. One of the things Mitchell did in the regiment was keep up with a report that the commanders in each battalion would fill out. I would like to continue this as it could be a useful way of checking up on their recruitment status within each battalion and falls within the rules of regimental to upkeep a track of recruitment. I know many Regimentals like to focus on building the relations between the battalions, but I think Rancor & 41st have a mutual friendship. They also have competitive friendship as well. I don’t think this is bad, but instead I think it’s a healthy balance that helps to build each battalion up. I would like to host competitive trainings that aren’t TDM Sims but rather fun reconnaissance trainings on the other planets, or even on the event server if possible. As for battalion specific things, I have some things I’d like to help with. For Rancor, I would like to help oversee & help them host Alpha ARC Designations with the Alphas in order to provide these on a relatively common basis with the current Valiant or Fordo. I would plan to also partake in the ARC Trainings with the main battalion if they require any extra helpers that may be unavailable. Another thing is help try and entice their SNCO’s+ in hopes of having them also host BARC Trainings (If they’d like to, a few can host already but very little host, since both battalions are able to host BARC Trainings since Cronis was Recon Reg.) For 41st, I think a culture of goofiness still occurs occasionally in the 41st, but a lot of it has changed. I would look to try and continue to bring forth the nature of proper behavior and subordination. This would go for any use of the BARC Speeders and, in any case, the AT-RT’s, if they make a return to the server. The 41st is looking to move people into positions where the command believes they can thrive. Being Recon Regimental, I’ll be looking to help the command to guide these people to where they believe they should be. Lastly look into getting more use out of the Alien Translation program, by meeting with Gamemasters or holding a training with the 41st to get them more interested in AT and have them set for any sort of occurrence where AT is needed. Hey guys, I've mentioned this before, but I'm pretty new to gaming. I lived in Zimbabwe for the first 16 years of my life and I didn't really have a laptop capable of running games, and having internet was rare, so I really didn't play many games. Since I moved to the UK, I've had a friendly guy share his game library with me, and I have worked pretty hard to at least have enough money to buy myself some of my own games too. From this point, I want to ask: what are your guys top games? Singleplayer, multiplayer, both, whatever it is, I want to know what I've missed out on for my whole life and I wanna fit in as many games as I possibly can. This is 100% an alternative I'd considered and would also be open to, if you felt that would be a better implementation, and due to your reasoning I totally agree that it's a good alternative.

@Sock Monkey thinks the rating scale is lame The 1-10 system was developed by the team at the time out of necessity to be able to map common opinions to scores. Scores make it easy to make an estimation of the communities opinions on an event. Someone can write "this event needed x,y,z" but unless it's a really negative post it's hard to get an overall opinion , and be able to easily communicate that on a common scale. The scale was developed based on multiple aspects that are common opinions from all synergy players. The aspect of splitting it up isn't ideal to me as it makes it more complicated for players who already usually dislike rating events. But i'd be open to rewording the scale to take into account current player opinions but I think RP should play an important role in the scale since that is what makes our server different from every other server. left clicking with your friends can happen anywhere on Garrys mod but interacting and having a story develop is something that can only happen in certain environments one we aim to cultivate, so long as we can still have sufficient entertainment happening at most times.

@JessicaP1224 While this isn't the correct place to put this, Ill leave it up for others to give feedback on this topic. As it currently stands, I believe that you are a bit confused on our rating scale, a 5/10 is an "average shoot-em up" or overall just an average event that doesn't have a whole lot to it besides just spawning in some droids for people to shoot with nothing special about it. You can rate it higher as a shoot-em up based off of any RP they might have, how well things were spawned and balanced, and many other things that can help contribute to the event quality. Same goes in the opposite direction too, if you think the spawning wasn't very good you can give it a lower rating. We use a standard shootem up as 5 because its meant to be the average standard event someone can do that doesn't involve RP really. As this is an RP server, for you to get a higher rating you should involve RP into the event along with the combat. This isn't really a flaw or an oversight, more of a built in way to encourage people to include some RP into their events. If you have any questions, feel free to direct them my way.

5/10 - this doesn't mean the event was bad or anything, I'm just following the rating guide. The event was fun, engaging and entertaining to play, but the story was next to nothing (was just a shoot 'em up) and it was mainly just clearing out the Geonosis base. However, the event was very fun, the spawning was done well, and I had a lot of fun working together with the rest of the server to clear Geonosis. Overall, good event for a shoot 'em up.

This is getting out of hand, For those of you that don't know... the Medal of Maxwells is the greatest accommodation on planet earth. and everyday I wake up and cannot bring myself to the fact that I do not have a MoM, it truly gets down and deep and kills me on the inside. Maxwells is my childhood inspiration, he is just such a awesome person, one time he sat afk in the admin room, and I sat with him for more than 3 hours, it was the greatest experience of my life.
