What do you guys think about this Democratic Representative, she proposes she will run for presidency in 2020, and proposes the New Green Deal which is a 90 BILLION dollar initiative to make America A greener Country

 

Personally I think it’s the most stupidest thing I have ever heard. She is asking for more money then trump, and If it passes I feel bad for what this country has turned into. Plus there are just so many issues economically that this would ruin.

I don't live in USA but I would want universal health care that would actually be available to citizens and not only to people who can afford it

I would want colleges and universities be made way cheaper for students

I would want changes that would raise quality of life for poor and middle class families

I would not want 2 fuckheads spending insane amounts of money on either a retarded wall or lowering CO2 emissions

I get that Global warming is a serious issue but there are priorities nobody is gonna care about CO2 in the air if they cant afford to feed their kids or get basic medcare. You need to fix these things first before talking about doing other things. Other countries have done it and they rank way higher in terms of quality of life then america so IMO you should vote for somebody who would actually fix these things first.

I don't agree with what Heart said, I actually believe it was pretty stupid, but I couldn't find a copy of the chart you sent, but for the most part it is mostly up to date.  However, I will certainly put in a counter argument to your statement.  America has taken a number of steps to reducing waste whether it be air pollution, plastic reduction, etc.  To continue to say that the U.S. is fucking up the planet is incorrect.  The United States are certainly taking a number of steps in order to reduce CO2 emissions.  Whereas countries that are not allies of the United States continue to raise CO2 without any sort of repercussions & one could say, no remorse.  Here's a chart that is probably more updated than the one you posted that also shows countries that have reduced CO2 emissions and those that have increased CO2 emissions.  

 

Yes, I do know that the United States is allied to Turkey, South Korea, Canada, Spain, and the European Union.

 

 

Now let me also add in this, a projection for the future that also is involved in CO2 emissions based on specific regions of the world and countries.  As we can see, the United States is projected to be stagnate, if not decrease in emissions.  While China and India will certainly increase.  Now this projection can certainly change from the time of it's creation, which was 2016.  

 

 

I believe that Trump's decision to leave the Paris Climate Change agreement was a terrible decision, and I certainly am not a fan of AOC and her new green deal. However, I do care about our world and it's future.  I believe anyone can try their best to make a difference for the best.  Reduce usage of single-use plastics, like plastic silverware, plastic bags from the market, plastic straws.  My state just banned plastic bags which I don't have a big deal with.  If you want to help reduce CO2, a lot of cars are electric these days, or even hybrids.  Economically and environmentally friendly cars will certainly become the norm in the next 30 years.  So why not start early?  Either way, there's many ways anyone can help to make the environment better, without needing to be in a public office.

And even then, think about the sheer amount of military members that would go AWOL if the US Government ordered an attack on its own people.  I’d say a good 85 to 90%.

Wrong around 5 trillion. Either way. That’s a lot of money. Increase in our debt even more. We have a very large debt if you don’t know of about close to 200 trillion or even more. I think even going cleaner should just be left off to the private companies. They can help by relieving the issues proposed to the government, and also for the people saying we loony for still having no gun control. It’s actually a fact that if you outlaw something. More individuals will decide to break that law to get something out of it. Look at UK for example. Even with Gun Laws People find a way to break it. We were found on Freedom, and a LOt of people respect our laws with only a few breaking them, those being the ban on Marijuana, or underage people carrying weapons.

Ok the gun problem isnt that bad in the US we arent one of the top countries for gun violence and the CDC did a report that guns save from anywhere 300000 to 2,000,000 while guns take 30000 lives in homicide/suicides but the majority is suicide so guns are better than not having guns and even if they were made illegal people can still by them illegally.

Alright im really about to come back from retirement to roast some of ya'll in politics.

If you took away guns, criminals would still find illegal ways to find guns, whether it be smuggling across the border, or using weapons already within the US, because there will be dealers all over especially in big cities, and also the fact that you can't get rid of every gun in America when there is more guns than people .(however those studies probably don't take into account that around half of those guns may be sitting in stores/warehouses that sell/produce guns) If guns are banned, then many criminals will find ways to acquire guns and use the fact that anyone they'd mug or rob wouldn't have self defense, which would see an increase in home invasion and other street crimes such as mugging stated before. With the issue of school shootings, most of these occur from either students (columbine example), previous students (parkland example), or people who don't attend at all, but most major shootings have been people who have at one point or another been to that school that they shot up, and to blame wouldn't be the gun system but instead of educational system, which has many flaws already such as not preparing kids for the future, which includes useless work, which leads to stress because many students are overworked, and also schools tend to ignore bullying or any form of it which allows it to spread, which leads to students becoming depressed because they are bullied constantly, and when you combine school stress and depression from school to the point where someone just wants to die, you have yourself a possible school shooter, which goes to the columbine example earlier, which means gun laws aren't the problem MOST OF the time, in the case of the parkland shooting, the shooter was a past student but he had some mental illness issues and shouldn't of possessed a weapon, which means some changes are needed but not reducing guns or banning them, as the school system is also at fault.

And continuing on with gun laws in America, I'm personally from the UK so don't take my opinion to heavily; but I feel at this point there would be no point in removing guns from the America due to the mass circulation and already huge mass of guns in the U.S, it would be impossible to remove all. 

If the U.S was to do anything, it should do something around the mental health of patients and increasing funding into making sure these kind of people either are helped or not given access to guns or any other weaponry.

Well in Denmark you COULD buy one illegal but it's veeeery rare so that point isn't really useful.

The US will still have guns if they're illegal because there is literally more guns than people in US. I don't think people would trash their guns if they were made illegal.
