    I was only able to make a few ops but I thought the idea was great and it felt cool to have a continuous event running. I thought the RP of deploying then back to the venator (POGCHAMP VENATOR EXTENSIVE BTW BEST MAP BTW) was really cool. Great job to all involved and as an old head I would defo come back for another! 5/5/5

    I think we all need to trust the process. I can completely get behind the want for a different player experience on a different map or environment. I mean that old Nar Shadda map house some of my fondest memories of the game. That being said I don't see the issue with holding off on the event server, justifying dropping Synergy servers on the SWRP list isn't easy. When Synergy is at 60+ pop it is actively keeping up within the top 10 servers which I promise you has a significant impact on players joining, attention to the server, etc. 

    It is an absolute no brainer that every person in this community would take the event server back tomorrow hands down, BUT I have few main issues with most of the arguments in this thread actively claiming that event server is a must have currently and/or calling out the staff team.

    Firstly I have almost been 'back' for two weeks. This community has changed quite a bit and I personally think in a lot of ways for the better! One thing that is clear is that during the weekend for sure, but also during the week, there are constantly a various mix of events happening. I wanna say Thursday there was legit events happening consistently for like 5+ hours without any lag at all. These events seems to be relatively large in scale and I think some of them were immersive and dynamic, but from what I remember about the event server from my 3 years was a lot of one battalion consistently getting events when others wouldn't due to batt size etc. or a lack of a coordinate, planned, and structured event. Imagine 212th and RANCOR getting deployed when the pop is at 80 people. We'd drop from Top 3 servers to somewhere way below with like 50 people. Not worth!

    The second piece to this is that map we currently have is probably if not without guarantee, the BEST map there is out there. There is SO much room for activities! xD In all seriousness there is so much room to host things for your own batt or unit group without the need for the event server. When I first joined the server way, way back on the extensive venator, @Conrad wasn't even in staff yet and a had a gamemaster spawn us an "Endor" dupe that was literally a box with props and it was the most immersed I think any of us had been! This map is so goddamn big you can easily create content for yourselves with the gamemaster team working with your batt. Nobody goes on patrols and that is such a good way to create RP or to immerse yourself on the planet. Be creative! Work with people to create interesting dupes. I mean you could even coordinate with any bounty hunter or jedi and go to the village and have an EASY story play out. Use the cave system and place some props down or a dupe and now you have a simple RP situation as well.

    I'm just some boomer, but the server has so much more content than it has EVER had and so much potential! You absolutely don't need the event server to be juiced out with content, even though we'd all take that in 2 seconds!

    im killjoy I used love being a game master but with me having more responsibility at work and a child on the way. I’ll probably just stay in 501st but I’m a very big advocate for overall having fun with friends on the server.

    Not much to add here, but the past few times I've been on the server Mazen has done a really nice job of creating some cool RP. I watched him do a pretty solid job of balancing the attention the role of Palpatine gives. Seems like he'd do solid in a role of that stature and based on how this post has turned out it seems he's the choice for the job.

    Jesus I'm old. My last relevant post around these parts was literally like three years ago. Was talking with some people who got me on the topic of old screenshots and I got to poking around and found a lot of nostalgia looking through them. Lots of very fond memories with cool people, some of which are still around. 

    Popped on the server the last few days and really enjoyed myself, hopefully y'all enjoyed having me around. xD Any who this is not an official return, as I can't justify the time or the mental capacity, but a hello and a maybe I'll come around more than the odd 5 month RDM tour? 

    Anyway if you're an OG please and still play please reach out because I love to know people are doing well.

    P.S. To all of you who keep telling me about the quests in-game I literally have no idea what that is.

    @JaBaku I'm glad you are who you are. Very few people can take the constant fighting that we had and still just be like "fuck yeah we're friends". Its a good command leadership that can separate those two things and you did a great job of it.
    @Naffen You're a man that truly backs your home boys. I saw that way back when with your dedication to SOBDE when i fought for you to get master for zey. Man does what he does well. I'm happy that my last thing as windu was to get you master.

    @Whataburger When i first met you i thought you where a total boot licker, but man you're actually a funny and chill guy. I'm glad i got to know you!.

    @Caidoon This man created appreciation posts before it was cool. Boot-Licker in chief, and one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, not just on the server, but in real life as well.

    @EclipseOne of the best squad leads in my time in SOBDE. Your squad channel was truly wholesome and you had a great group of friends in that group. I'm sad you left so quickly after me getting darmen, it really sucked to see you go.

    @Turtle You're a good kid with a ton of potential. You work hard and you are such a kind person. Keep it up you have a strong future ahead of you, not just on the server but real life as well.

    @Marvel Not really a suprise, but you had a great term and took great care of my boys in blue. As a former rex I welcome you into our ranks.

    M8, think about where you've started and where you are. You should be proud of the progress you've made not only on the server but in life. GMOD might just be a game, but if you have the right mentality about it you can learn a lot about people, working with others, and responsibility. I'm proud of the person you are and though we don't speak often I try my best to keep up with people from Synergy despite only coming around to meme on the intercom occasionally. 

    Keep being an awesome human and don't discredit the fun you had in a "dumb" game or this community. It was all worth it in the end if you had fun and made good memories along the way.
