  1. I AGREE!
  2. Appreciate the input. Some things I don't agree with, but thank you for taking the time to chime in. Main battalion has droid poppers, and the fortification tool is within the Armorer kit. I think there could definitely be great cohesion between medical, support, and fortifications regarding this suggestion. Many events we're just pushing through a meat grinder, the bubble shield cannot be shot through, and is limited in durability. Using these at the right time could create a foothold to establish fortifications, a medical fall back point, etc. The 241st is happy with this suggestion, it ran through our battalion suggestions before going live here. This is exactly what I'm talking about above though. Sitting on our laurels isn't the move. If this isn't the suggestion that helps us do that then we'd be happy to sit down again with server leadership and figure it out. Just tired of 241st is out of place stuff. This suggestion is realistic; we're not asking for top shelf here. It's base loadouts with the one unique equipment. Engaging, effective, and simple IMO. There are many avenues carved out within the server, hard not to step on toes. We can only work with the cards we're given. Tukk Tales is being created by one person, it could be years before it comes out. I think the feeling we have is that we'd rather continue to expand what we enjoy doing and build upon that. Again thank you for your comment!
  3. +1 please! This only makes the tool viable! At the moment, any fortification placed is immediately destroyed when contacted by any blaster. It's the worst feeling getting a trench line built and then 10 seconds later it's gone from few b1 shots. xD
  4. Hill Company's 3 slots do not include other WLs. Just Armorer, Infil, and Trench. I believe when 241st launched Hill Company it was just Trooper, Medic, Heavy, Officer with droid poppers. Adding Stretcher without adding medics wouldn't make sense IMO. At the moment I believe people are happy with Hill Company's current set up and want more options spread through the battalion. +1 btw!
  5. +1 A good way to increase viability without making it too strong!
  6. +1 Moss getting some flavor sounds good to me!
  7. Yeah I like the "can't be asked" attitude! xD
  8. Name: Quill RP Rank: CMD Suggestion: 241st Roy given a WL and a HVY loadout Implementation: At the moment Roy has no WL and is just a named character to give out in the 241st. In a push for more WL this would help give options to 241st Heavies! Lore: He is the heavy depicted in Tukk Tales. "This is Roy. Roy is like a force of nature, if nature was constantly in a bad mood & took itself way too seriously. Despite his "jolly" demeanor, you can always count on him to have your back!" Workshop content if applicable: Require development, texturing of a current 241st heavy model to match these pictures. Add or Change: Add Job: Roy HVY WL Slots: 1 Description: Roy the Heavy in the 241st is given a WL and HVY loadout. Model: models/jayarr/tukk/tukk_hvy.mdl would need to be textured off this. Weapons: Standard Heavy loadout. So 15a, 15s, Z-6, fists, commslink.
  9. No. 241st currently has a +50 armor buff. Vexis would be at +100 I believe.
  10. Hill Company does not need additional assets, just small changes to it's current equipment given viability. We have no lore, so we're doing our best to work with that by creating flavor and building upon the foundation that is there. Other subunits may have a similar setup, bubble shields are viable in almost every event and can be used creatively. The loadouts of the kits don't need to be crazy, given the bubble shield. We don't need to reinvent the wheel, but utilizing this equipment is unique. No other WLs on the server have anything of the nature and capability. Hill Company is awesome, utilizing an upgraded support trooper, heavy with a clone minigun, and a cloak-using class. None of which are lore accurate as there is nothing to base Hill Company on. 241st IS the fanon battalion, that will not change unless Tukk Tales releases and we adapt exactly to it. Waiting for that to happen, if it does, is not worth it. The 241st should not be limited by not having lore, when there are plenty of other things on the server that are without lore or contradict canon.
  11. Valid! I think one of the biggest struggles in the battalion currently is the lack of options. We have our main batt WLs and the three tied with HC but outside of that we are lacking in WLs and variety. "Damned if we do, damned if we don't" more referred to the creator's 241st versus our's which are already bound to be different. I think we want to continue building on our momentum while also being realistic. We already operate well beyond the limits of cannon within the server. Heck, 241st itself has no lore at all. Why not make something that we've created together? The main reason to keep it to 5 WLs is to keep it from feeling like bloat. The are many sub-units on Synergy that are not LC based, like Hill Company, but often require more people to feel fleshed out. Keeping things on the small side in my opinion, shouldn't hinder us if done correctly. 241st and Hill Company both operate differently just based on equipment alone. 241st has typical Synergy WLs with a HP buff if I'm correct, Hill Company has been made into an assault based group. Yes, armor can use the fortify tool, but other than that, their WLs within Hill Company do not operate as defensive.
  12. For anyone reading the above, you may not have caught my edit. I forgot to add the sub-unit's main thing, the bubble shield, and +50 armor buff. It is now in there, but somehow missed adding it in initially! xD
  13. Name: Quill RP Rank: CMD Suggestion: 241st’s 2nd Sub-Unit “Vexis Squad”, each with a bubble shield and +50 armor buff. When discussing with both Klein and Elijah, Tukk and our other CMD, we came to the conclusion that given the 241st's size and nature, we felt a smaller, lore-character-based squad would be most beneficial for our battalion. At the moment, server rules permit 2 sub-units, and with Hill Company, we’re at 1. There were a number of ideas floating around, but we feel this suits us best. The 241st is in a sort of “damned if we do, damned if we don’t situation. At the closing of this round of suggestions, 241st will have been around for just around 8 months. By the time the next suggestions open, it’ll be close to a year. Tukk Tales may release before then, it may not. Truthfully, nobody can answer when it will be released officially. We’d like to continue growing and fleshing out the battalion in that time. So far, we’ve taken Hill Company in a direction that feels fun and engaging for our players and the server in general. Hill Company is fanon as is the 241st, but it stays true to the animatic in name and with its LCs. It’s impossible to know what Tukk and the 241st will look like when the animatic releases, but in the meantime, Synergy’s version leans into the RP our server provides, focused on siege tactics and pressing the enemy, utilizing our equipment. We’re hoping Vexis Squad can help solidify more of those things within the battalion. The goal of adding Vexis Squad is to create something different, realistic, and our own. Working alongside the 241st CMDs and the development team, we’ve crafted something we’re happy with. After passing through battalion suggestions with lots of positivity, we present it here. The shield arm to the sword of the sieging 241st and Hill Company! Implementation: Add an F4 tab under 241st and Hill Company called "Vexis Squad" and put in the required slots, jobs, and kits. Lore: There is currently no canon lore with the 241st. The animatic “Tukk Tales” has no fleshed-out lore and no official release date. Despite this, the 241st has flavor text and a great foundation for the creation of something more! Something that we’ve tried to lean into with the server’s take on the 241st and Hill Company. Below is what I’ve created to help flesh out the background of the squad and its characters. Vexis Squad was created by Tukk. After a particularly challenging battle that saw many of the 241st fall, Tukk sought out Lance, one of his most senior medics. Tukk offered Lance the chance to lead a new squad focused on protecting their brothers. When creating the squad, Tukk’s goal was to provide additional support to the clones on the field when Vexis was utilized. Similar to the stories of the Vexis on Pasaana using its oil to harden passages under the sand. Vexis uses its localized ray shields to create openings and safeguard the GAR troops it fights beside. Workshop content if applicable: Required Development - New Textures on current Synergy Models. Willing to work with the Dev team, flexible on ideas. Would like to use Tukk's orange and the 241st teal as a color base AND also the creation/use of a bubble shield (housing 3-4) people. The bubble shield will be one-use per life. Add: Job: Vexis Squad Lance Slots: 1 Description: CT-3029 “Lance”: A leader by nature and a close friend of Tukk’s, Lance was one of the first to join the 241st. A well-respected, supportive, and encouraging leader who chooses to lift his comrades with his medical expertise and charisma. He spent much of the War as a medic, choosing to provide aid to his brothers rather than command them. Now, one of its longest-serving leaders he marries the two roles well. Lance accepted Tukk’s offer to help form the squad and oversaw the recruitment and training of all the Vexis Squad members. Model: models/jayarr/tukk/tukk_med.mdl Weapons: rw_sw_dc15a_o, rw_sw_dc15s, comlink_swep, weapon_fists, hololink_swep, rw_sw_dc17, weapon_bactakit, rust_syringe, sr_atmosphere_medical_injector, sr_atmosphere_medical_scanner + bubble shield Other: Medic/Lead - 450 paycheck (or whatever sub-unit leads get) Job: Vexis Squad Dyle Slots: 1 Description: CT-8772 “Dyle” is a blaster expert and the stalwart, loyal glue man that the squad needs. Often the first to offer a brother a helping hand, Dyle is a combat veteran there to pick anyone up when they’re down. He’s been known to crack a joke or lend a listening ear around the barracks. Dyle was the first recruit Lance sought to join Vexis. Dyle often jokes to the others that they could manage without him, but even Lance knows that without Dyle, Vexis wouldn’t be the same. Model: models/jayarr/tukk/tukk_hvy.mdl Weapons: rw_sw_dc15a_o, rw_sw_dc15s, comlink_swep, weapon_fists, rw_sw_z6, rw_sw_dp23 + bubble shield Other: Squad Heavy - 450 paycheck (or whatever sub-unit troopers get) - Specialization: Heavy Job: Vexis Squad Spike Slots: 1 Description: CT-9314 “Spike” got his name after “spiking” a thermal detonator down the torso of a headless B1 training droid on Kamino. The blast sent him flying back into his squad, where he was affectionately given his name. Spike likes to see things go boom, but he’d rather be a martyr than a pyromaniac. Spike was brought in to Vexis after Lance and Tukk felt they needed an X factor in the squad in case things went sideways in the field. While Tukk was hesitant, Lance saw the strong will and sacrifice behind Spike’s actions, later asking him to join. Model: models/jayarr/tukk/tukk_hvo.mdl Weapons: rw_sw_dc15a_o, rw_sw_dc15s, comlink_swep, weapon_fists, rw_sw_rps6, detpacks + bubble shield Other: Squad EOD - 450 paycheck (or whatever sub-unit troopers get) Job: Vexis Squad Kasey Slots: 1 Description: CT-2517 “Kasey” is the wise guy. Often heard making himself laugh behind the scope of his IQA-11C, he tends to be more jovial on the battlefield than most. Kasey is the first to suggest an outlandish plan that he thinks will be a good time. Don’t be put off by his jokester tendencies; Kasey is still a crack shot when matched up with the rest of the squad. Lance sought Kasey’s help with Vexis Squad after Kasey kept a squad of B2s off a casualty collection point Lance was operating on Mimban. Model: models/jajoff/sps/cta/tc13j/arf.mdl or a Vexis version of existing ARF models like, models/synergy_roleplay/212/arf/arf.mdl - if not possible for either please use base 241st trooper model Weapons: rw_sw_dc15a_o, rw_sw_dc15s, comlink_swep, weapon_fists, rw_sw_iqa11c, rw_sw_bino_white, mortar_range_finder + bubble shield Other: Squad Marksman- 450 paycheck (or whatever sub-unit troopers get) Job: Vexis Squad Gears Slots: 1 Description: CT-9119 “Gears” is the tech-head of the bunch. Gears loves to tinker, and he’s always keen to open things up and find out what makes them work. Gears was the brains behind the localized ray shield that Vexis uses. Tukk suggested Lance requisition his help, given his reputation in the 241st for amplifying droid poppers and other tech. Alongside the other Vexis members, Gears’ analytical mind often helps Lance make a less emotional decision on the field. Model: models/jayarr/tukk/tukk_sup.mdl Weapons: rw_sw_dc15a_o, rw_sw_dc15s, comlink_swep, weapon_fists, rw_sw_dp24, alydus_fusioncutter + bubble shield Other: Squad Tech/Support- 450 paycheck (or whatever sub-unit troopers get)
  14. +1 :D Send it!
  15. I’d also like to hear more about the process from apps opening to a candidate being accepted.
