I joined the server on 22nd of February 2018 and joined the Galactic Marines, I took a short hiatus due to school. I worked my way up the brutal promotion requirements we had then. around the Autumn of 2018 I got to WO and managed to energise the 21st NCO corp, at this time 21st was dying/dead depending on source. I assisted Snad with reviving the batt, I went from WO to CPT after a month. Worked up to Major and then got Colonel shortly after. I worked my ass off as much as I could as a Colonel resulting in me being promoted to XO shortly after. I was the impromptu BCMD when Snad was unavailable and dealt with a lot of the drama and day-to-day shit. after a short time and a bunch of drama, Snad resigned from Bacara and I was encouraged by the entire batt to run (This was also the time I got the nickname "Dadget" due to being batt dad) I applied and got Bacara with relative ease and had a mountain to deal with.

The battalion had very low activity, about 4 maximum a day and almost no officers. I promoted worthy SNCOs to Officers and encouraged training's and RP. I was also staff around this time and had gotten to SA and GM. I managed to improve the GM's activity from max of 4 to a minimum of 6-8 on at once. A significant improvement. This was not just my doing of course. I then reapplied for a second term and was successful.  My seconds term wasn't so simple thou. I had the lovely task of merging SO and GM into one batt known as the 21st Nova Corp we love today. This was difficult due to SO and GM's difference in attitude and behaviour, mainly fucking elitism and a "spoiled child" attitude.  This took a few months but we managed to merge both batts effectively and now have a very unique battalion due to this. my term mainly was this and I kinda no life'd the server and ended up falling behind with my Uni work and had to focus on that. I did managed to pass my uni course but my mental state was awful. I was going to apply got a third term but I called out due to the previous issues. I then returned later in the year after summer of 2019 and had new people and issues to deal with. I came back to the 21st having surfed a rough wave of summer. Numbers where down and officers were lazy. I helped Matra, Qal and Gene to improve this. We managed to improve a bit by the start of 2020. Shortly into 2020 Matra finally put his hat up and Gene also departed. Qal was thee new Bacara and I was commander again. Qal had to deal with many issue, not helped by additional staff work he ended up receiving. I have been attempting to pick up as much slack as I could. We now have more commander so it's not as daunting. 

Why should you become a Regimental Commander?:

I feel like I can use my stern by fair attitude and approach to deal with issues withing the regiment as a whole. I also wish to apply myself to the server as a whole with joint training and a patrol system as well.  I have the experience and the personality for the position, I am passionate about the people I work with and for and  always complete my work to the best of my abilities. I am friendly and caring and always try to help. Can be sarcy but I am British soooooooooooooo. I am a stickler for rules and role play and will make sure everyone follows the rule and is acting accordingly. I am also someone not only ready to learn new things but to teach others and mentor them into taking high positions if need be, even my position. 

Do you understand the lore of your regiment?:

21st - I am not going to start as this app will be 3 times the length. There is a lot of nuance lore I could go on.

DU - A Unit lead by Commander Doom, know for there effective shield assaults and defence. Know for bringing shields into most engagements to both act defencively and aggressive mobile cover. They also have Havoc Squad, a mobile, 'hit 'em where it hurts' squad lead by Commander Brimstone. They sacrifice the shield synonymous with DU and prefer faster and louder approaches to issues.

CG - They be the police, enough said. In all seriousness, Coruscant Guard are the primary clone protective battalion. They are mainly focused on Coruscant defending prisons, upper streets and key locations. They are also send on diplomatic missions. These Diplomatic Services unit act as person escorts to officials of the Republic, namely Senators, the Grand Master and Representative Binks.

Availability:

Currently I work only 3 days [Tues-Thurs] due to COVID-19, but I will write out as if I had work as normal.

Sunday to Thurday - 7 pm to 11/12 pm GMT (2 pm to 6/7 pm EST)

Friday to Saturday - 6/7 pm to 12/1 pm + GMT (1/2 pm to 7/8 pm EST)

I usually have about 1 to 2 break says so I don't burn myself out. 

Give a brief overview of your achievements on the server:

 - I have over a year of Commander experience

 - I have 6 months of Battalion Commander experience

 - SA [3 times] and GM [2 times] (Currently SA, GH and builder boy)

 - Resurrecting GM in my first term as Bacara with the help of the battalion members.

 - Successfully merging SO and GM into the 21st with the rest of the batt. [can't take all the credit]

 - Intel lead and member within 21st/GM

 - And the pure chad power of being a Rancor Guardian Padawan by the name of Ragnar.

Where do you want your regiment to be at the end of your term?:

I would like to fix the issues within the regiments that has been identified to me.

CG - Maintain current activity | Ensure the future of the batt is secure and well lead | Maintain discipline and professionalism around the server.

DU - Professionalism | Opening up communication with other batts | Improve inner battalion communications | Improve public image to a fun but firm experience

21st - Improve numbers and member retention rate | Improve involvement on the server aside from events/encounters.

After that I would like to see the regiment active and participating actively in lively RP and really bringing role-play back to the server. As well as a well disciplined regiment of semi-prof to professional battalions with strong leadership and future leaders working up the ranks.

How do you plan to improve relations within your regiment?:

I am hoping the Joint training's I have been working on over the last few weeks will help improve the relationships within the battalions. They will also improve inter regiment relations as well. The patrol system (similar to the one of Endor we had) will also improve engagement of the regiments and the entire batt. Allowing for new encounters to be hosted, BHs interaction out of base and a new avenue of RP.

The one I will say and point out is when we did the SO and GM merge. As the SO BCMD Blackout at the time, Gadget made it easy to transition through with little to no difficulties.

1. Let's start off with your time as BCMD, there are two major factors i wish to address here. 

1a} Your battalions numbers struggled during your time as BCMD and this was before the SO merger, you would have spurts but there was an overall struggle to get people on. 

1b} The SO merger, was an absolute shit show on both ends, they were allowed to act as a separate battalion for almost a month. While you had 1 and a half month notice of it happening or so. They had a separate roster and i believe discord until they were forced to use only the current 21st discord. The way you handled it wasn't the best. Which still lead to poor numbers on the GM and SO side, which lead to the legacy members coming back to have to save the battalion. 

2. My time as Spec Reg

When talking with Qal, your name came up many times sometimes for good and a majority of the time it wasn't the best. Qal stated that you had problems with people in the battalion that you refused to address. You are as both of us put it a bad influence on the current leadership of the 21st. You are stuck in the old way of doing things which hasn't worked and has lead to the decline of the 21st. At the start of my second term as spec reg i had to fight you and only you on a new roster. Which your old one made me want to convulse. You have prevented major change from coming about in the 21st and have kept it in the stone age, and when change is forced for the better you get upset and won't talk to anyone. You have been a Commander in 21st for 236 days, and your actions within 21st during my time not only proved why you were never promoted to XO, but the question of demotion not only from me but high command at the time was almost a daily occurance.

When I think of 21st, I think of Gadget. This dude has been at the forefront of 21st basically my entire time on the server. Sure, people take LOAs and take breaks, but I believe Gadget has the tools to help the Specialized Regiment to new heights. He's got the ideas, he's got the people skills, and he sure as hell has the player knowledge and server knowledge. +1.

Thank you for the comment, I would like to add some clarification for this, but I am in no way going to invalidate your opinion.

 

1a - I inherited a battalion that was on the brink of removal. Shortly after getting BCMD I was pulled by Chamber and the other Director at the time and told to improve it or GM would be gone. I significantly improved it. I'm not saying we were like the 501st activity wise but we went from 4 through most the day to 6-8 in the week and 8+ on the weekends. I know not spectacular but not terrible when you consider the progress.

1b - The merger of 2 VERY different cultures was not gonna be easy, that's why it took long. I intentionally took my time to prevent conflict. There was still conflict, mainly some stubborn GM and SO who just didn't like each other and or saw one better as the other. I was not allowed to tell ANYONE about it, that is what Joah said so I was planning with myself, I did tell my HC but that cos I wanted help with the prep, but I couldn't tell SO. Once the change happened there was many questions from both sides, mainly "why?".  Some legacy members did return to help but the returned before the merge, namely Matra, he was informed shortly before the announcement. I will admit, looking back on it I could have handled it much better in some regards, but it was a shock to the system and I didn't want to lose the SO member moving across by ham fisting it.

 

2 - I will admit I am stubborn and a man of traditions. Not as bad as past member, geez you should see them. It was more I was just an angry mess for about a month, mainly from being stuck up home due to lockdown and such, but that is no excuse for my actions. If you actually compared my approach to thing compared to Matra's, I am much more calm and forgiving. Matra, Gene and the older member would kick someone out a bit too easily and weren't forgiving. Some of the meaner members referred to me as BCMD as the "Nice Bacara" which is true and this is what transfer over to my time as CMD. I was heavily against the roster as I just disliked it and preferred the old one, just due to familiarity and I liked out simple design. You may have struggled but all the 21st found it find and some member's don't know why we changed to this day.  I wasn't perfect, and I'm not gonna turn this into a compliment on myself. I was sometimes quick to anger and abrasive to some changes, especially those that were sudden. But recently I have been trying to revitalise the 21st once more. It may have been a combination of me kinda giving up for a bit and lack of sleep related anger and me being a bit bummed out as I also applied for SPEC REG when you applied and was kinda upset [not angry, more sad] when I didn't get it, but I got over that quickly by busying myself.   

Qal would approach me and say that "I had been bad" (paraphrasing here) and the first few times I took it as a meh. BUT after a while I took note and worked to improve especially as I noticed I was becoming a bit toxic and as an older member and shouldn't be like an old man. I have mentioned to Qal about getting an XO and giving it to someone, never mentioning myself as a candidate as I didn't care. But Qal would either say we don't need some or that he had a work around, which I was fine with. 

I will stop here before this become an rant. It kinda has already to be honest.

Again to reiterate, you opinions and -1 is completely valid and I take it and hope to improve from it as I move forwards, whether it in this position or continuing my work in the 21st. 

I hope this adds some additional information and allows you to see that I am not a perfect person but I have changed [for better and for worse in some cases].

+1 I believe this individual will be the best Special Regimental Commander. Although there are some mistakes here and there, that is the human nature's way. No one is ever perfect in their craft. Whenever I have some kind of problem, I'll always go over to him for any advice and answers.

To Gadget: I hope you will get this commander spot. It takes experience, determination, and perseverance to get to whatever you are and I am inspired by that.
