  8. First of all, Thank you! Now, as I have stated I want to incorporate joint trainings with all battalions when possible, now what I would like to work on would consist of firstly just team building - by this I mean essentially bonding with other battalions, making friends and building the reputation of the 104th, this is so that the 104th can talk to other people when theres not much to do and have a sense of 'friendship' there even when people are doing things. When it comes down to the actual training's it could incorporate anything from a simulation with the 104th and 212th for example where they have to clear it but as a team and one or two people have to lead both battalions. It could involve a training ship which the 104th have the tanks and their forces and the 212th can use their boarding to take down the ship Also, could involve combining forces during deployments with 212th or any battalion can not only work as a way of getting to know each other however having more of a bigger force when it comes to deployments and giving other people the chance to lead not only our battalion but another one too vice versa. When it comes to improving battalion relations as I have said through these joint trainings I hope to achieve a sense of 'friendship' and a building of chemistry with it. Not only this, but also interacting with them during events whether is just a small hello or having a combined game night if people want to have some fun off GMOD which is a good way to just relax and improve relations. I hope this clarifys your question, anything else please feel free to ask!
  9. **Waived** Steam Name: Vango RP Name: 104th HYVO WO Sinker / Jedi Elder Knight Serra Keto RP Rank: Warrant Officer / Knight Steam ID: 76561198189565765 Battalion you are applying for: 104th Experience: == Jedi == [First - August 2019 - May 2020; Second - June 2023 - Now] Jedi General Plo Koon Adi Gallia Consular Manager Sage Manager Strike Team Moriae Lead Current: Jedi Elder Knight Serra Keto == 41st Elite Corps / Green Company == [June 2019 - February 2020] Green Company Commander Gett Medical Lead Intel Director Senior Disciplinary Officer == 104th Mechanized Assault Battalion == [First - September 2018 - November 2018; Second - February 2019 - June 2019; Third - June 2023 - Now] Intel Director Discipline Lead Medical Executive 104th 2ndLT Vango Current: WolfPack HVYO WO Sinker == Naval == [October 2018 - January 2019] Naval/Base Ops Commander Vango Intel Director IA/Discipline Commodore Infrastructure Commodore Engineering Manager == Mechanized Regimental Commander == [April 2020 - June 2020] Why should you become a Battalion Commander?: Qualities and Traits: Work Ethic - I believe myself to have a strong work ethic, priding myself on my ability to get things done in a timely manner, while not sacrificing quality for speed. I believe myself to be able to deal with complex problems confidently and with quality and deal with any issues as such. Dedication - 104th is one of the two battalions that I spent my time with in Synergy. I have dedicated myself here more than once, and in those times I have proven to be an asset. Having the opportunity to run for Wolffe shows that I mean business and that I want the best for the battalion and its members. Disciplined - Another good quality of myself would be my maturity, my ability to keep myself disciplined to ensure that I would be the best at representing myself and what I am leading. I am able to keep myself calm even if people are to have issues with myself or my decisions, so that I can resolve them correctly without bias, to ensure everyone around me would be satisfied. Experience - Positions that I have held in the past have allowed me to gain a wealth of knowledge on how to run a battalion and also how to handle issues when they arise. During my time as Regimental, I had to deal with certain high stress situations which demanded a cool and mature head to be able to ensure that it goes smoothly and the correct way. My prior experience as Jedi Master (before Council Member), Naval Commander, and as a Commander has taught me how to manage and run the more intricate sections of a battalion or group. Giving me the necessary mindset on how to point out issues and solve them. Communication: I believe constantly communicating with my troopers is a good way of improving chemistry. By this, I mean actively keeping all 104th troopers in the loop of battalion issues and setting goals for specific areas of the battalion such as the NCO’s. These are the ways I am communicating as of current, first of all, ensuring that the 104th gets on for events and are told when something may occur or when the best time to get online would be. Secondly, making sure that all new members of the 104th are informed about branches and what branch does what etc and how to join. Next, I ensure that if anyone has any questions then I do my best to give them a good answer to ensure that they know what they are doing. For example, if people have questions regarding certain server rules then I would help them or if they have no clue what to do when it comes to a certain RP scenario. Availability: Normally I am in game around 4-5pm EST and on for around 5 hours (obviously this may vary on my schedule and because of timezone). I actively check Discord so I'm available all day on discord if I am not available in TS or In-Game. Estimate of how long you've played on Synergy Roleplay?: Since 2018 took a few breaks in between though, probably most of my hours on GMOD is synergy. Do you have a microphone?: Yes Where do you want your battalion to be at the end of your term?: 104th Jedi Core: At the end of my term, I will have improved the Jedi core by a solid margin aiming for a solid number of active 104th jedi in total as well as at least 2-3 on daily. Also, the lore roles within the 104th such as Plo Koon and Sha Koon being filled up with active, dedicated and roleplaying members. One way I could achieve this would be by reaching out to Jedi and working with them during events or better their standing in the battalion which may lead to more Jedi being interested in the 104th. It is also worth mentioning that playing a lore position within Jedi is a great way to get noticed by the Council and can help the Jedi within the 104th to move up. I know the Jedi that we are currently working with get the idea that the 104th is a fun experience and worth working within, so I want to use that reputation for them to entice other jedi into the program too. Wolfpack: For a while now, Wolfpack has used tryouts as its means for selecting members, I want to develop on this by using personalized tryouts for selecting the best candidate. By personalized I am referring to having a unique tryout for each character. This would be worked on with the current members of Wolfpack as they know the characters and should be able to help with the changes to Wolfpack. Dire Squad: As of right now Dire Squad is in a good position and have been building their reputation up so anything that changes will be addressed down the line. Recruitment: Recruitment is an important topic again within any battalion. Although this section may be fairly short and self explanatory, this is good for me to explain. As Battalion Commander I would be ensuring everyone is putting the effort into recruitment is important to ensure numbers within the battalion grow. Everybody in the battalion should be attempting to ensure we keep recruitment steady, no matter the rank everyone needs to attempt. However, not only actively recruiting and hosting tryouts but showing that the battalion is dedicated to improving standards and numbers is important. Incentives: Incentives are an important motivation towards anybody, if they are motivated by something then they are guaranteed to work for it, I believe this a good asset to the 104th to provide a good idea of what work should be done to get recognition. The way I would carry this through is to provide either a bi-weekly or monthly system which will continue throughout my term to provide “the most dedicated trooper” with recognition within the 104th as well possible in game credits and could become stuff from the store (if my bank can handle that). Although this system gets used a fair bit I believe and from experience it works better in many ways, it can lead to more development within NCOs and Officers and developments in their work ethic, as well as higher outputs of training, recruitments etc. Mechanized Trainings: The speciality of each battalion is an important aspect within any battalion and especially 104th who host TX-130 and AT-TE (which in my eyes are currently one of the most used vehicles on land during events and deployments). Currently from my perspective training is a specific issue. As BCMD I will make certain changes when it comes to training, this being for NCOs and Officers to get promoted not only would they have to put effort into recruitment and other entertainments etc, however these specialized training as well since they are a highly important part of the server and the 104th (obviously this is fairly normal however I feel, if the issue is pushed over to troopers constantly through communication through discord of If im in-game hosting myself or asking someone to host one would be highly beneficial and a good method. Something that is not really occurring as of late). Finally, using these trainings, it gives the 104th another great opportunity to show their work ethic and dedication to better the battalion and the server / its playerbases experience. For example, by the constant training being handed out, it shows the effort put in by the 104th troopers able to train in this section and gives an opportunity in winning BOTM and growing the reputation of the 104th. Cooperation With Other Battalions: Although most applications state how they would reach out towards other battalions to do joint trainings etc, my past experience has shown me the effectiveness of joint trainings and joint communications, If I am to gain the position currently the lack of joint comms/trainings etc is fairly negative for the battalion currently, given the opportunity I would reach out as much as I can to other battalions to engage with them during an event in a joint communications channel or reach out to them to combine skills and host a trainings to utilize each specialty. I believe it is important for this aspect in a battalion since it increases the chemistry between us and the rest of the server which is a good asset. Reputation: I aim to have achieved Battalion of the Month at least once by the end of my term. Earning this would show the hard work and dedication put into by each member within 104th. Each specialized training, recruitment, entertainment that was hosted by the dedicated members that conducted them. While working on the actual image of the battalion to not promote minging, but instead promote a healthy, cooperative, and growing battalion. Work Ethic of Members: As it stands the work ethic is good however through new advancements I would like to enact I want to push through a more developed specific work ethic however I will not be expecting people to dedicate themselves to GMOD or the 104th or even get bored of it anything, this is why my other ideas of making the battalion more coerced, entertained and fun will support the idea of having a developed work ethic meaning people will be more inclined to continue working at a set standard even after my term. Officers & NCO’s: Officers - For officers within the 104th, the standards I am expecting from my officer core would be, being an influence on NCO’s / future officers through increased work within the battalion and sharing opportunities to lead the battalion in situations to assist leadership development. Bringing in new officers will not be a focal point in the starting weeks of my term, but I will not just halt the progress of others. As we currently have 9 officers, we can afford to be a bit selective and really bring up the NCO’s to where we want them to be. As well as with the officers we currently have that they are doing their job correctly and developing as such. NCOs - Personally, I believe there is a lack of work within the NCO core right now. This being lack of training and recruitments, leadership abilities and taking part within the battalion as a whole. I can fix this through using the officer core and myself to maintain the fact that NCOs should try to lead events where possible and push out more trainings by having officers assist with NCO trainings and asking them personally to host a training. Not only this, however through incentives it can provide a sense of reward if they are to go above and beyond what they are expected. There is also a sense of recognition by going above and beyond and I will make sure this is recognised and understood by Officers. Regiments/Branches: As BCMD I have aims to simplify regimental ranks for example currently 104th has one REGL and 2 REGO. I will enact a change which leads to one regimental lead and then branch leads and officers for example HVYL and HVYO; this is due to the fact that the two regimental officer positions takes up places in which someone could be a HVYO or ARFO this would improve the numbers and activity in regiments rather than filling out extra positions which a REGL is capable of performing. Something else that I would ensure is that branches are in capable hands and managed well without having to consult me or any higher officer unless required in a situation. Essentially this means that the REGL and specific branch leads are able to manage their branch, correctly train their troopers (setting requirements, for example SUP needs PLT and ATC etc) and ensure that they have active numbers within. During events, trainings I would ensure that the branches are being used how they are supposed to, this essentially means ensuring that regiments are using their abilities, for example ARF taking high ground or scouting during events and heavy fighting on the front. Do you understand that if you go inactive that you will be removed from your position?: Yes Do you understand that your position has a three month term limit and you must reapply after three months to maintain your commander rank?: Yes
