+1 Without fail, every game master I have ever spoken to has incessantly bitched about g-protect, and it sounds like for good reason. Lots of hard work gets ruined and leads to very quick burnout and frustration from GMs.

No, I think he has a point. Roleplay has a tendency to be very competitive in a sense. You always have one person trying to be the center of the roleplay, trying to one-up everyone and generally just being the loudest. Trying to be the main character instead of actually trying to have genuine roleplay. I'm sure during a huge event like the empire for a day, we had a lot of people trying to "win" the roleplay by being the most noticed and liked by everyone, or having every situation go their way.

Mavelle, the thing you fail to understand is that you're one of the most fantastic Game Masters not only on Synergy, but fucking ever. Your events kill every time. They're always creative, filled with roleplay, and have every last ounce of your creativity and care poured into them no matter how improvised. You genuinely make the server worth playing alone with your events. No one is perfect, but if there was a top ten, you'd be in it. People love your events, people GET ON for your events. Hell, I sure do. You fucking kill it out there bro. The 5s you get are well fucking deserved. (fuck I forgot to quote the above post but you get it)

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I'm going to have to -1. All you've really given for reason that you'd do better in this position is that it's a different battalion, that's run slightly differently. To me, this doesn't really seem like it's a solution to the original problems you had as BCMD of RANCOR. You also mentioned that you lost interest for RANCOR only a week after getting BCMD, which I don't think is something that won't happen with this position. "At first, like all people who join a Battalion have the "love goggles" will enjoy the battalion for "X" amount of time until it turns sour. For me it turned sour, a week or so through my term." I don't feel reassured that you'll feel any differently in this position than your last, or that you'll really enjoy it any more despite the differences in how it runs. Right now one of the biggest problems on Synergy (to me) is that BCMDs are retiring left and right after only just getting their positions, leaving many battalions unstable and vulnerable to collapse. That being said, if you do get this position, I hope everything goes well for you, and I'd be looking forward to seeing what you do with the battalion.

Before I leave a vote, I have some issues I'd like addressed. Not much longer than a month ago, you resigned from the BCMD of RANCOR after not even a full month as the Battalion Commander. In your resignation, you said that consistent obligation prevented you from having fun in the community. "It has taken a month to realise that I simply wish to have fun in the community and enjoy my time on the server without the consistent obligation to worry." You also said that you want to divide your time differently, instead of having it all focused on your BCMD position. "For me its about dividing my time into things that I enjoy inside in the community, paired with being able to delegate time elsewhere." Why, after a month of having resigned from a different battalion's BCMD due to lack of fun, do you think going right back into a different BCMD spot will be any better? Why do you think the time-commitment, or obligatory aspects of this position won't bother you this time? Once you realized you had time to put into a battalion enough to become the BCMD again, why didn't you go back to RANCOR in their time of need? Most of all, why should we trust you to have the dedication to this position, a month later, when you didn't even make it a month as RANCOR BCMD?

2/2/4 I'm gonna be honest, a lot was wrong with this event. First off, it felt like a really basic low-effort shoot-em-up, but it was on a map that isn't meant for linear shoot-em-ups. Underground is a map meant for exploration and roleplay. I noticed that you weren't in the event TS or in the event server until 5 or less minutes before the actual deploy time. You mentioned not accepting any helpers, which showed the lack of any preparation for this event, and it really showed. This event was hard to follow, and the most entertainment was found in the minging outside of the droids. There was a plot I think, but I couldn't follow it. People started randomly dissapearing near the end, where I thought things might pick up, but then the event ended. This event felt very low effort, and very under prepared, but I liked some aspects. I liked the clone NPCs fighting the droids, and the fact that there was something to fight, but overall the disorganization killed the vibe. If you plan to do shoot-em-ups, I recommend using more linear maps. Large, open maps like Underground are MUCH better for open-roleplay events where exploration and interaction with surroundings is encouraged.

I'm glad you completed your goals. I loved roleplaying with you, as Plo Koon and anything else. Like Conrad, I just wish you were more active. I never really got the chance to work with you, even when we were on the Council together. Synergy will miss you, though. You did great things. Good luck on whatever you go to next.
