Steam Name: you are loved and valued RP Name: Rad Thekk RP Rank: Guild Lieutenant SteamID: STEAM_0:0:54192568 Experience: While I have a decent amount of Leadership experience on the Republic character side of things, I feel a full run-down of everything I’ve been isn’t necessarily required because it bloats applications. I’ll list below the things I think matter. Commander (CG) Executive Officer (CG) BCMD Fox (CG) x2 Guild Cabinet Member x2 (Before and after reorganization) Guild Lieutenant When it comes to BH itself, I’ve been the primary figurehead behind initiating new systems that disallow toxicity and have personally innovated much of what’s available today. Some of these things include the inventory system, VIP instant access, CIS mercenaries, much of the Republic contracting system, Guild Spies, etc. Why should you become Guild Leader?: If you read nothing else, read the paragraph below I’ll go ahead and get something out of the way that may or may not come up as a question in the comments, and that’s my opinion on applicable positions as a whole. While I’m not exactly a fan of them, with my upcoming busy schedule I feel that Guild Leader is one of the few leadership positions I can safely represent on the server without issue as a lot of it is background work in my experience and I’m very good at distinguishing duties down the chain of command. Honesty is the best policy here, and while I’m not a fan of the overall mindset when it comes to absolute leadership, I am a person who enjoys the Guild and wants to see it strive to do better. I’m also by no means saying that I’m the perfect applicant, I’ve made mistakes before, even some that I’d probably bleach from the face history, but I also learn very easily from my mistakes and tend to approach things at a different angle if a single solution isn’t working. Now onto the fluff Put simply, while the Guild’s structure isn’t broken by any means, it still needs that strong representation that the Guild Leader has to offer. Bounty Hunter in my eyes is the best faction that the server gives upon purchase of VIP just for the sheer amount of freedom it has to offer. Now, while I did say the Guild overall wasn’t broken, that doesn’t mean it’s lacking in problems. I’ll list them and provide a necessary solution that’ll benefit everyone involved. “People only get on their Bounty Hunter to mess around and troll.” This is the primary thing I want to address right away as I am even guilty of this at times. While I do think freeform RP should be something that remains in the Guild, allowing it to be an environment in which Republic players can go and chill out on, I do think that people who just pop on the Guild character, steal a LAAT, shoot missiles at the base and fly away have overall no place in the Guild. I want to emphasize that while not all actions require an RP reason for doing so, things like these that actively disrupt the server require some sort of means and motive behind it. Lately I’ve already been doing my part to cut this issue out with the rewriting of the rules/ROE and the introduction of the CIS mercenary that actually gives you the motive that you need to do more chaotic actions towards the Republic. Really, this is a problem that’s mostly going to be solved with vigilance. I plan to get more Marshals (Guild Rule Enforcers) that will be able to work around the clock when I can’t be on to see it happening. While I do, of course, believe in “quality over quantity”, since the BH guild has the potential to be especially large at times, the quantity will help maintain said quality. The first order of business will be filling up the leadership positions and getting something worked out for an increase in numbers. “There’s not enough evaluations being hosted.” This is something I agree with and something I’ve already worked to mitigate. There was recently a new wave of Guild Recruiters that were promoted and as I’m writing this app, one of them has already recruited 7 new Hunters. I’m hoping to grab more, essentially the same solution as the last. “Bounty Hunters is a glorified excuse to RDM.” This is also something that I want to crack down on. While neither side ever really handles in-character hostility well, I would like to take the initiative and handle it from a BH perspective. As a result, it’s the Bounty Hunter’s responsibility to be the better person as they directly represent the faction whether they like it or not. For a temporary solution, I could tighten up the rules on when it’s okay to actually kill someone, chiefly that on the BH side of ROE they need to follow the tenet of “kill by necessity”. Just because a clone is kicking you out of the base doesn’t mean you need to whip out your 90$ shotgun and unload on his test-tube face. Availability: Mon-Thurs - 4PM-9PM (Can vary depending on the workday) Friday-Sun - All day I’m starting university soon so if I come across any complications I’ll be as transparent about it as possible. Give a brief overview of your achievements on the server: Listed in experience, but I’d rather be judged for what I can do rather than what I have done. Here it is again. Commander (CG) Executive Officer (CG) BCMD Fox (CG) x2 Guild Cabinet Member x2 (Before and after reorganization) Guild Lieutenant What do you feel the role of the Guild Leader is?: Honestly, I see Guild Leader as more a hands-off approach to leadership similar to Yoda. The Guild Leader should be primarily the face of the Guild, someone who can actively represent it in trying times and otherwise. The GL runs an entire faction so a lot of his micromanaging should be delegated to his subordinates instead. The Guild Leader can make massive changes, but not without first consulting his own leadership. Essentially it’s a lot like the “democratic” system that many other leadership roles on the server enforce. Do you have a microphone?: Yep. Do you understand that if you go inactive that you will be removed from your position?: Yep. How do you plan to improve relations between the guild and the server?: This… is admittedly a tricky one. The harsh truth about it all is that “good relations” go both ways. Much of the issues I’ve listed in the “Why” question have solutions that could ultimately help this, but my primary goal is to get Republic players in a position where they’re more open to Bounty Hunters. This won’t work without cooperation, cooperation that I’ll personally need to create myself by talking to the BCMD+’s and getting the general consensus of the Guild and making necessary compromises to help everyone be comfortable and not just immediately assuming that BH’s are going to use their role as an excuse to RDM. It’s all a group effort and it’ll be the main focus for the majority of my term, I can only hope that the rest of the server’s leadership will be onboard with this journey.   7. I will not give my vote either since I'm working with him anyways and i'll be acting the same way I do regardless of if he is mas or just senior senator. As it stands, I know that there are issues that have happened in the past, shit happens. Normally I would agree with the people that are currently -1ing right now, but that is not the case for me. Obviously people don't feel it's the right time for you, and some feel that it is. During Jovanovic's time in DU he was watched carefully because of his issue with 41st, and I can honestly say he has A. not caused any drama in the battalion, B. has been active even though he, like I, am balancing the new work ethic of the senators, and C. Made not indication that he has hostility to anyone at this point in time. On the senator side, he picked Comics, Deku, and I off our lazy asses and is getting us more stuff to do, passing Bills, making proposals, working in new committees. Maybe It's just the threat of the senate being removed that got us into high gear, but even if that is the case, he led us while Robb was busy and made the senate numbers more active in general. Now I know cloud very well and I trust his word on many things, that goes for a number of other players, but I believe that he won't abuse the power given if he gets this and that he will only improve the senate if he is the next Vice Chairman. Definitely there are people that can't forgive him for what he did, but are you all willing to give the power to a less experienced senator or someone outside the senate a position that would require them to intimately know the workings of the senate?   9. I gotta say, your app aside, I think you will make a good rex, 501st has been in need of one for a while. As long as you are fair and listen to the advice that others give you, then you will do just fine. With that being said I will give you one piece of advice, Don't think of it as a chore, a lot of people go into positions that they think will be fun but then they feel like its only work. It will only feel like work if you make it feel like work, so take time to yourself, delegate responsibilities, and remember that it won't be a cake walk but that comes with the territory. Now in terms of your app, you have show that you know the battalion and its problems, if you can live up to the promises and ideas you have for 501st, then you will make a great rex. And remember, always let calmer heads prevail, otherwise headaches will be your closest friend. +1

  13. So, I've decided to address all the concerns here to the best of my ability rather than voiding and re-writing my app. Oh yeah, it absolutely is. I've always been awful at writing these and rushing myself far more than I should, not to mention never having been a big fan of writing apps as well. Im hoping I can help fix this with this post. Thank you for your bluntness on it. I was pretty nervous when writing this and definitely didn't get out all the information I wanted to and hope I can give a lot more on what I am wanting to do here and address any concerns that people have. Ill start my explanations by going off Cyans quote here. As of late, I have been discussing this upcoming change a lot with founders and would like to believe myself to be informed on the changes. After talking with him, I can agree that the new RC batt that will be coming in will need a more hands-off approach rather than me being there and babysitting them. I plan on much more of a guidance role in this situation. But, until a new Kal is selected, I want to do my best here and keep everyone interested and active. I have plans to do this by things such as sims, both alone and with the rest of the regiment, as well as more events and deployments to help everyone get settled and working well together. Now onto the other battalions. CG and Dooms Unit is doing really well as of late and I am very happy to see where they are and where they are going here, and I am hoping I can put myself to good use for Odric and Flip. 21st is doing well too, however I do wanna try to help get them more active numbers whether that be by promoting (In rep, not ranks) their battalion in RP, or by helping keep things interesting within the group itself. Again, for the most part, I do want to be more of an advisory role to these groups and let them run themselves rather than be super hands on with everything. One big thing ive noticed recently that needs worked on between all groups here though has to be communication and attitude towards each other. I see it a lot coming from within CG and its something I am actively trying to fix. I have taken both of your suggestions into heavy considerations and was definitely wrong to not actually talk to anyone. I have since tried to fix that issue. I have sat with Odric, Agent, and Flip and talked with them about what they'd like to see out of my term and what I can actually do to help them. I also sat with Cyan and discussed what SOBDE would need to flourish here as well. All of these individuals have given me some pretty good insight on what I should be doing more of here. I'm sorry you three think I'm making a power grab here and I really don't want it to seem that way. I really do want to be here and help out everyone I can in this position. I don't blame you for thinking that due to my trashy application writing. Hopefully I can remedy that here as well. I know a lot of people think me inactive and I can't really blame them for it. My schedule is pretty weird and puts me at a late night time-zone, however I do my best to put in day hours as well before work. Really wish I could be on during prime time a lot more, but sadly my night shift job prevents me from doing so. I know me and you have never seen eye to eye and I am really sorry about that. I would've liked to try to fix that before you left. I know in the past ive always been one to get upset over small things and that's a big part of me that I'm trying to fix. Honestly, if I had just done more discussing and not bitching I feel like things would've gone better between us and I really want to apologize for those actions. Hope you're doing well man. With that being said, I will happily address any other concerns people bring to me, and If I missed your post here, just lemme know and I'll try my best to explain myself better. Hope this does a far better job at getting my ideas across than my initial application did. Also, if I misworded anything the BCMDs here have said, please let me know.   16. 4/10 The build was alright, but there really wasn't much to the event besides shooting droids and dying. We had a good 10-20 people fighting 3 EJs, 2 of which had over 20 lives combined. The other EJ had 50k HP and took less than 20k damage the entire event, ending with 39 kills. I understand the fact that the EJ broke your rules isn't your fault, but the odds seemed quite stacked against us. The EJs having so many made the event last over 100 minutes. Finally, this is a very personal opinion, but not allowing jetpacks at all highly kills the fun for me. I completely understand limiting them severely, like not letting you jump to higher places/ridges, but making it so JT troopers/2ndAC can't use it for maneuverability in combat hurts, ESPECIALLY against a 50k hp Grievous. All that aside I still had fun, thanks for hosting.

Steam Name: [SR] MrNova RP Name: Gearshift | Ahsoka Tano RP Rank: CSM | Knight 2(CMD Equivalent in 501st) Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:192002324 Battalion or squad you are applying for: BCMD Rex Experience: 212th 2ndAC Ghost Company 212th is where I started my journey on the server. During my time here I was able to learn a lot about working as a team and helping people out whenever they need it. I have made vast improvements in myself since when I first joined 212th. But while I have gained the ability to teach people things and help them improve, I still strive for more as I feel that people should always be looking to improve themselves. 501st Jedi Ahsoka Tano (1SG-CMD) I became Ahsoka Tano when I noticed that the jedi program needed a lot of help in the 501st. Before I became Ahsoka I was a member of the 501st as a battalion jedi and looking around I was the only Jedi present within the battalion. Instead of waiting for others to fix the Issues I saw I wanted to address them myself, and thought the best way to do this would be through Ahsoka Tano. During my time I helped overhaul the Jedi Tryouts system, for both the main battalion and the Sub-Units, and helped gain new and active members into the battalions jedi core. I climbed the ranks and assumed the position of CMD and Jedi lead through my hard work and education to the battalion. Jedi Lead, Jedi Commander Once I gained the appointment as Jedi lead in the battalion I started to implement all the changes I couldn’t beforehand. I built a Jedi Expectation Document and finally implemented a 501st Jedi tryout in the battalion since there was none at the time. Besides just creating a basic structure for battalion jedi I wouldn’t and still haven't stopped working to gain active jedi inside the battalion. Recently I have further integrated jedi and clones so that the divide between the two groups decreases. I have given all jedi rank equivalents inside the battalion and they all follow the same structure as the clones do, so that all members can advance in the same way as brothers in arms. 501st REGL Despite being a Jedi I was asked to take the position as REGL within the 501st to help with a struggling regimental structure. As my term as Regimental Lead i was tasked with helping with the position because the Regimental Spots were almost vacant and my personal goal was to put officers in charge of their respective regiments and encourage them to become leaders. While I wasn’t able to fill every spot I was successful in filling a handful of them, as well as finding a proper clone replacement for me so that he can continue to advance the regiments inside the battalion. Miscellaneous Jedi Ace Manager When I started as Ace Manager I quickly learned that not manyI members within the order were Ace trained and I felt like this was due to the branches lack of strong leadership. When i became Ace Manager i remember that i tried around 10 people a week, and while some failed most people passed and for those people who failed i didn't discourage them and gave them advice to see what they can improve and pass the second time. With my help and other members I got the Ace program active again which I feel proud of and happy that is now in a good state. Guardian and WS Manager As Guardian Manager I'm currently still working with the Guardian Lead to improve the branch and help him get people into it. I’m helping manage all the trials and changes regarding the branch. I want the branch to be in a good state and have things set to help not just the branch but the order as a whole. New Admin - Senior Admin Honestly this has been my favorite experience on the server. The ability to help people, not just the groups you’re a part of, but every member on the server has been enjoyable. Meeting new people and helping them is what sets it apart for me. Why should you become a Battalion Commander?: My main reason for aiming for it is because I see that the battalion has a lot of potential. My activity, personality and my dedication drives me to help the battalion more. This combined with my communication and confidence can help me build the battalion how I have envisioned it. These skills will help with my leadership of the battalion in many ways, but the most important will be in my ability to have meaningful conversations with those around me and therefore be able to resolve any issues that may arise both inside and outside of my battalion. On top of these skills there's one thing that I believe is really important when it comes to being a leader on this server. At the heart this is a game and people want to have fun, and in order to nurture an environment where people can have fun as well as get all their work done I have established a strong openness and friendly environment. This environment allows the battalion to work as a team, and due so in a very constructive manner. I plan on helping to not just improve my battalion but also to help improve those under me by teaching them skills I have acquired along the way. Hopefully though these skills and the morals I help establish we can create a battalion that works even without me. A good analogy would be a wall, even if you remove one stone the wall doesn't come crumbling down, as long as those that remain help to fill it with someone that is able to do the job. However my main reason for going for Battalion Commander is really that I just want to help the community by playing whatever part I can. And as it looks right now one of the best ways I can is by becoming BCMD Rex. I won’t lie, right now I believe my battalion to be in a hard state. And I believe it is my responsibility to ignite that fire and let the battalion rise and be what it was once. Do you have a microphone?: Yeah Where do you want your battalion or squad to be at the end of your term?: At the end of my term I wish to see the battalion in a good state but not just with members but the infrastructure as well. In order to make that happen I plan on working on a couple of areas listed below. Activity This is gonna be my main priority to get the battalion back on track to what it was once. I wanna have an active NCO and Officer core not just being active themselves, but getting new members to join as well. Getting that initiative rolling and promoting dedication among the troops will help set the 501st apart and allow us to remain active even in times without an active BCMD. Officer Core The main focus I have for my Officer Core during my term Is that I wanna make it so there are more proper distribution of officers and NCOs in the battalion. In order to do this I plan on slowing down promotions and helping teach my officer what to look for when promoting NCO’s and Enlisted. This will help create a more proper balance between officers and NCOs, as well as help to teach the officers what it takes to be deserving of each and every rank in the battalion structure. Sub-Units: Torrent Company I want to push the Torrent Company Revamp and implement it to the server before the content update. As the current TCC is doing a great job at getting members I want to be able to come into the revamp with a full squad. If I can get them fully prepared for the change then when it is to happen they will be prepared for it, even if I am not there to help them. If we can get it so that Kano and Boomer have a tryout and along with the unique tryouts to each character would ensure TC is a long term powerhouse. 332nd This Sub-Unit has been in a great position and has improved a lot lately since the implementation of the new tryouts. I believe that 332nd has a strong infrastructure and the best thing for it will be an increase in the general battalion population in order to allow them to recruit even more members into their ranks. Regiments I have plans for a complete overhaul of the Regiments. Instead of being tied to passing a regiment created tryouts I want the regiments to focus more on allowing people in based on their proper training. I want my regiments to be full of capable people that know their job well, not just people that can do faces and formations to pass a regimental tryout. By having people be trained by the officers and leaders of their regiments, we can create a system that has a strong basis in roleplay, as well as a more appealing position for jobs that right now might not seem very important. Organize all documents and tryouts One of the first things I plan on doing is clearly labelling the permissions of all people within the battalion for whatever rank and permission they may hold. This will allow for a strong and clear Chain of Command, thus allowing the battalion to function without as much oversight as it has had to recently. I plan on using a google drive that is meant to hold and be owner to all documents pertaining to my battalion. This drive will be organized and well kept in order to allow for a clean and easy way to access any and all things pertaining to the battalion. Also Theres already a strong candidate why get waived now? - My point was it’s kinda cringe people have to ask others to run for rex because they dislike the current rex applicant, inciting drama and causing head aches. 501st needs a strong candidate, one that knows what they’re doing and that won’t rely on everyone to make decisions.
