This is a general update document, detailing the things done by the Chancellor and the Marshal Commander. This document will be posted Bi-Weekly with updates on what they both have done. Please leave any feedback you have in the comment below.

General Updates

As of 12/12/2021 we have the position of Siege Regimental, Spec Regimental, and Rancor BCMD Blitz open. In the next two weeks we will have Marshall Commander (Open Date: 12/17/2021), and BCMD Fox (Open Date: 12/20/2021) opening.

Within the Command Structure we have decided to try monthly command meetings again. The first one seemed to have gone very well with a slightly edited structure. I think these meetings are a good way to keep the commanders interacting and discussing with each other, and hopefully not letting them turn into the drag that people think of when they think of a Command Meeting. 

 

Roleplayer of the Week

Roleplayer of the week goes to @Katy for her RP as Luminara. Her ability to encapsulate the wisdom and demeanor of a Jedi Master is incredible. One exact thing in her actions is a big draw to me, she doesn’t ignite her saber unless absolutely necessary, even when just blocking blaster bullets, preferring to use the force powers on her blade. I really like these jedi focused actions and they mean a lot in helping set what a jedi should be. Contact me for your reward.

 

Question for the Community

This question will be a bit more fun than the previous questions I’ve asked and more just a curiosity from me! Who do you think has the best lightsaber in Star Wars? I'm gonna throw up some of the big iconic ones and vote on which you think is the coolest!

 

Clone Updates

Firstly congrats to @Atlex on getting his first term as BCMD Rex, and to @Shpack on getting term two of BCMD Gree, great work and I look forward to seeing Atlex grow into the position and shpack keep working with 41st.

One of the big things we had happen recently was with rancor regarding the Commander Report against bird. Before this commander report we had a report, which was similar to the report that was geared towards concerns of activity inside of the battalion. Deku and myself reached out to him, talked and told him it's ok to have slumps and to try and redouble his efforts and ask Regimental for help if he could need it. Unfortunately due to my LOA and vacation, my plan to follow up with him was going to be after that, but by then he had already left. Obviously by then he had resigned and we were left in a situation where Rancor had some big gaps in activity. To try and help revitalize rancor I took a look at some of the documents for new players, and some of the ways new players are treated to help increase retention of newer players.Between this and all the regimentals taking turns to spend time with rancor we have seen a decent bounce back in activity. While rancor is not out of the water yet we are in a small pause period while we wait to see how a SPEC Regimental and BCMD application work out before going in and potentially making more changes. 

 

Navy Updates

The navy has a big change planned, as you may have heard during the Community meeting from @Freck. Changes are in motion to try and turn the navy into a faction that will result in a permanent whitelist, more similar to the other VIP factions in Jedi and Bounty Hunter. Both freck and myself both believe that these changes will be great for activity in the navy. Something that's come to our realization is that all VIP factions share some of the same characteristics, in that not many people main them, and are just something for people to hop onto from time to time. These changes will have a resting rank for all members to achieve regardless of activity, and a much more slimmed down ranked structure. This new resting rank will be similar to Knight in the Order, where it's not taken away once you achieve it. We hope to have this out in the next week, so be sure to head to a naval tryout and snag your new permanent Naval character!

 

Jedi Updates

Haven't done anything much with the Order since @Sixta has gotten Grand Master. Everything there seems to be going well with no major changes to share with everyone. Keep up the consistency!

 

Guild Updates

The guild has undergone a TON of changes during these last two weeks. First the number of Lieutenants the guild has has increased to 3, with @Mavelle taking this third spot. Each lieutenant has a specific role to play now within the guild that is tied directly to big changes in the format of clans.

Clans no longer have an infinite amount of potential clans, We are limited to 12 total. Of these 12 each of which has an alignment, 4 hostile, 4 neutral, and 4 friendly. With this we will now have clans that hopefully stay around for a long time and are passed on more properly, instead of just being created and forgotten about. I think this will be a good change in restricting the numbers. To often you find a clan, they come in strong for a month, then disappear to be replaced. I’d like to see more consistent groups and I think this could help a lot. I look forward to seeing how this change affects RP with the guild!

 

Senate

Since last update @willy has been the first Mas to attempt and get a second term. Congrats and good luck on your next term.

I also know that the Senate is looking to see about adding some potential senators to their roster, to help expand the roleplay opportunities within the senate. I think this could be a great Idea as senate is a job that gets stale quickly as the senators only have a small group of people to interact with, by adding more you could potentially make senator RP a bit more interesting. If you have any Ideas on senators to add, as well as models you might have seen/found please contact @willy. Thanks!

G.A.R Updates

For this section, I’ll be giving the status of each battalion from my perspective. From an outside perspective looking in, as well as from a High Command perspective.

Along with the command meeting, we’ve had a few new members and returning members join the command team recently. Those being @Atlex& @Shpack , who are now Commander Rex & Commander Gree respectively. Congratulations you guys and we look forward to seeing your battalions work well together alongside 212th going forward.

 

Attack Updates/Status

ATK: ATK seems to have been doing well as usual. They managed to complete their challenge from last week which is always great to see. I hope to see more involvement between these battalions going forward, 501st & 212th have always gone hand-in-hand with each other but I’d love to see them utilize the 41st more as well!

501st: 501st is recently getting into the swing of things under their new Rex, Atlex. It seems things are starting to pick up and there is a big focus at the moment on maintaining and improving battalion activity while taking the time to hash out some other improvements to their subunits

212th: Commonly for 212th, they’re going quite strong. They seem currently focused on maintaining momentum and developing newer leadership moving forward which I can get behind. I personally, would love to see a rise in young leaders within the battalion rather then the battalion HC taking charge. Whether that’s leading events/deployments, driving conversation during their many meetings, etc.

41st: 41st is currently focusing internally, restructuring some things on the inside and focusing hard on recruitment and retention, and really reestablishing it as the battalion that this generation of 41st members want it to be. While still looking at potential shifts to subunits and trainings.

 

Siege Updates/Status

Siege: Siege all things considered, has been doing okay. It seems that a common theme around the server has been the increase in LOA/ROA’s due to finals/exams which Siege has also fallen victim to. However, even with those LOA/ROA’s, I’ve seen some great things from them recently. 

104th: 104th has been doing decent from what I’ve seen. Bias aside, I would love to see a steady increase in Negotiation trainings from this group, and seriousness during certain moments. But other than that, I’ve been loving what I’m seeing from 104th recently, internally I know there has been some work going forward within their subunit. I’m excited to see how their work pays off when the changes are announced, but that’s all I will say as to not spoil it for everyone else!

21st: To put it bluntly, I would love to see more from 21st. I do believe however, that 21st has been working well with what they have. Making sure that any chance they get to show off their activity is used to its fullest potential. (During deployments, etc.) And although sometimes they may not put up as many numbers as others, I’ve seen some great work from them in game.

Doom’s Unit: DU has been on a steady increase in terms of battalion functionality and morale it seems. I’m really enjoying this look of DU recently and I hope it carries going forward. I’d love to see more DU during prime time, and I would also love to see them stick around even after deployments, but besides that… great job DU!

 

Specialized Updates/Status

SPEC: Specialized has recently picked up some of the slack I saw in past reports, there are still kinks that need to be worked out for sure and to address those, I would like to say publicly that HC is working directly with those individuals/battalions to help in any way we can. Besides that, the activity has seen a definite improvement and similar to Siege, has fallen victim to a slew of LOA/ROA’s as of recently.

Coruscant Guard: CG seems to have a decent presence on the server at prime time as per usual. I would like to say a quick reminder for the people of Synergy. CG are people too, and although they seem to get the front of most hate when it comes to how AOS/RAOS’s are dealt with, it’s important to understand that nobody is perfect and situations can be dealt with a lot better when both sides are staying mindful of the situation and addressing it with an open mind!

RANCOR: As many may know, RANCOR has been in a very large WIP rebuild phase. High Command have been helping where we can, whether that’s hosting tryouts, helping in ARC trainings, etc. there is a definite attempt being made to help out RANCOR whenever possible! Besides that, I have seen some good work from select individuals within RANCOR and there seems to be some strong leaders rising up to help where they can!

Republic Commandos: RC, similarly to the last report, has been doing quite well. The squad leads have been working diligently to ensure their squads are filled with confident leaders and roleplayers. I’ve personally seen RC take the biggest hit with the amount of LOA/ROA’s as of recently, but that has only been a mere speed bump for them and they seem to still be working well! Good job RC!

 

Regimental Challenge

 It’s that time again! This bi-weekly challenge I have for you all is as follows:
This is a multi-step challenge for you guys so I’ll try my best to explain it the best I can!
I challenge each regiment to collectively get at least 20 troopers on at the next 2 regiment deployments! Along with this, I’d love to see an increase in Passive RP between regiments in general. Good luck!
New to this report, I’ll also be including a new challenge specifically for our RCMDs.
This part aims to give the RCMDs something to actively work towards and show that we’re making a solid attempt at being more interactive with their troopers! Not only that, but it gives both the RCMDs, and their troopers a reason to get on and have some fun! I will also be doing my best to complete the challenge as well, as I’d like to hold myself to the same expectations that I have for my RCMDs, if not moreso!
I challenge each RCMD, as well as myself, to host AT LEAST 3 joint-entertainments for their respective Regiments within the next 2 weeks! (Training/Encounter/Patrol/Event/Deployment/etc) @Jovanovic @Stockings

Rey's lightsaber at the end of 9 was really sick. Even if I didn't care for the movies too much, yellow lightsabers are definitely an underrated look and the fact that it was made from the tip of her staff was pretty special.

Also, I don't know if anyone else has said this to you, but these are some of the best things you and Deku have done. These posts do so much for us to understand you guys' thought processes and they give us a connection to HC that many players just don't have the privelege of getting. Thank you guys. Thanks for the feedback. One of the biggest complaints I heard about previous palpatines is you just don't know what they do or how they spend their time. And while this isn't a day by day log, you can just kind of generally tell where i've been spending my time and what i've been looking into/helping with based on what I right. Its not everything but it at least hopefully helps show some of the bigger picture things that happen!

Credit where credit is due to @Conrad! The idea is originally his but it’s been a pleasure working with him to come up with ideas to what we have now. It looked very different to start out with, but I was more then happy to hop onto this and merge it into “From the Office of High Command” it’s been something we’ve seen a lot of positive feedback on and I’m glad I could help in any way.
