-1 Comparing an SMG to what is essentially a DMR and wanting them to be equal XD Keo does a really good job explaining the gun logistics, to the point it makes me think he has worked in game development or balancing before.
  2. Tbh, I don't really care. +1 that bitch
  3. +1 Lego Weapons would actually be worth the ridiculous prices of the perma weapon store
  4. +1 I love me some new props to add to the story of events
  5. If the situation Tea describes involved you and your friend and not the other group that we seemed to confuse you with, sounds like the situation was handled as it should have been.
  6. Adjusted, thanks for notifying me.
  7. Name: Merrill RP Rank: 1stLT Suggestion: One thing I have noted while making my environment dupe pack to speed up GMs designing their battlefield, is that we have like 1 tree and the same 8 cliff rocks for large decoration of the outdoors. Sure, we have the occasional fungus or alien spore thingy, but most of those are so minuscule that they have no real affect on the troops fighting around them. I have noticed that there is more than one tree in Half Life 2, and we have far more props available on the server, but some are simply not whitelisted. Essentially, I'm asking for trees, bushes, rocks, something so that we can fill up our events with nature instead of the constant "Site of a battle so fierce that there is no foliage ANYWHERE" settings. Implementation: Either going through base Gmod to ensure that all nature props are whitelisted, since some are only seen when you search for a prop in the prop menu and are not seen within the base folders, or to add in a prop pack or two that focuses purely on nature and environment. Some Possible Packs to choose from have been linked below. Some of these packs may require owner Permission, while others are simply to fix or include missing props from base Half Life 2. Lore: Trees and Rocks exist. 8. Just had to check, it was still the 1st for us
  9. Just for clarification, this is not an April Fool's prank, is it? Cause me and the boys just realized it was still April 1st. I just wanna double check
  10. Aight, so I am gonna say this now. Seeing this, fucking hurt. Cause I know how good of a dude you can be Scribbles. As a staff member, as Foxtrot, as a BH, you went out of your way to set an example. Then this? Look, man, I know you are better than this, but there have to be consequences. Some time away from the server might be a good way to think about the impact of everything. -1 towards a full appeal, but perhaps a +1 to a future shortening of ban, but there must be consequences. Also, is this a Gmod ban or both Gmod and TS? Just cause TS isn't really a problem, all his problems have been in GMod
  11. Rohan reported a similar issue with his recent Ryloth event as well.
  12. I would need dates of when these bans were before I could slap a vote on this.
  13. +1 Support Since most trainings on the server tend to involve no more than 30 or even 20 people at a time, a small server with max pop of 20 or 30 would not be too taxing, would keep laggy trainings off of main, allow GMs to have their event server back, and would allow special touches to trainings that you couldn't get on main.
  14. +1 to all
  15. As a note, since some people don't seem to know how the hierarchy works with BH. Guild Leader makes executive calls, and has cabinet for assistance in matters. Cabinet is chosen by Guild Leader, but not vice versa. Guild leader is chosen and removed by democratic vote of the ClanLeaders, who are given their positions based on creating a clan (Guild Leader has no say in who can be a clan leader). A clan leader cannot be a cabinet member, and a cabinet member cannot be a clan leader. Additionally, anyone can be a clan leader as long as they are active in BH, earning the renown to found their clan. -1 Love you Ratio, and I get where you are going with this, but BH just does not operate the same way as Normal battalions. The way we have it works, and it works pretty damn well (except for the lack of good memes from bad applications)
  16. The fact that there is so much toxicity about a pilot job that will be most likely forgotten about not even a week after it is added in is ridiculous. Sure, lore is cool, but unless you get Patrick to be 42, the job will feel like a waste of time when the core squad could be focused on
  17. Changing to -1 for everything as well. I had not realized before that literally no one had been talked to about this idea.
  18. -1 As others have mentions, give back that power to Base Ops. They CONTROL the base. They should be able to tell people to do things, that's the whole point o them is to get troops and resources where they are needed.
  19. I agree with this idea. ARCs aren't necessarily supposed to masters of CQC, far range marksmanship, and heavy demolitions all together at the same time, but what they do have, the ARCs are supposed to be really good at. So, with removal of the Chaingun being a strong possibility, a counter-buff for the Westar encourages ARCs to focus on marksmanship as their strong point. As for Rocket underbarrels, tbh I feel there aren't enough rockets on jobs on the server, considering they are the only way to do damage to frigates besides turrets and vehicles, not to mention destruction of pods or barricades.
  20. +1 Support A city setting means more area vertically to build events into. Base Ops will have more interesting stuff to do either controlling the city or meeting with civilians. Shock can do raids on criminal hideouts. Recon/SOBDE can setup small recon checkpoints or overwatch points in the buildings. And more.
  21. Is it really that hard to say in Comms "Hey, we might have a cloaker, checking now." before doing just that? Players already call out potential cloakers, so that acts as a sign that troopers are activating their detection equipment. GMs would also be monitoring for this and would be able to tell their Event Jobs that the devices are on.

+1, would really help solve staff sits faster
  23. Even if it is a staff member flying through a door, that would count as reasonable suspicion to check since the doors only open when someone either presses a button or moves next to it. The range to press buttons or activate the doors is relatively small, so if you are looking at the doors or buttons, you should be able to see whether a trooper has touched it or if it is opening on "its own". It will be up to RC/SO to recognize these odd situations occurring (aka using logic/ common sense) to activate the cloak detection systems they have in place. 1. We are simply adding a condition where you have to have a reason to turn on detection equipment, then do "/me turns on sensitive headphones/detection visor" Complication is certainly perceived differently by different groups, but a rule change that can be described in one compound sentence and one simple sentence does not seem to be "overcomplicating" things. 2. It hasn't worked, as BigZach pointed out, most GMs either just put up with it or just don't use cloaked enemies. Frankly, from my personal experience of being a GM and GH, the difficulty in using cloak with RC/SO around has led to quite a few deployments where RC/SO were denied to avoid ruining the stealth needs of GM through the cloaker.
  24. I have never had issues with Bio Cloaked and Lords, since they actually RP it out and it makes sense in terms of lore, not to mention it only works against a specific type of cloaked enemy, meaning it has counters. In that case, SO would only be able to exactly pinpoint a droids location or existence when in a quiet setting, since their headphones pick up ALL noise, as that is how hyper-sensitive microphone typically work. Explain how this would cause event jobs claiming meta gaming? If SO/RC are given a reason to search for cloakers (such as doors opening on their own or randomly appearing bombs) , the cloaking detector would see right through cloak when turned on. Metagame will probably happen either way, but it would be actually easier detect with the new rule proposed since it gives exact conditions for activation of the cloak detector and how exact the cloak detector would be.
