Baxter's Hunter Re-Application

Baxter

Steam Name:

B0rkeey

RP Name:

Hunter

Steam ID:

STEAM_0:1:26780882

Battalion or squad you are applying for:

Bad Batch/Clone Force 99

How many terms you've held the position?:

1

Why do you wish to maintain this position?:

I feel like there is still more work to do with Bad Batch and it is my responsibility and duty to complete the task that I undertook. I need to make sure the framework is set and stable for whoever takes up the mantle of Hunter after I, eventually, either resign or don’t re-apply.

Current availability:

Pretty much everyday from Noon to 2 am EST. If I'm not in game you can usually always contact me in TS or on Discord.

What have you achieved within your battalion/squad during your past term?:

I have been able to keep two of the three positions within Bad Batch filled for pretty much my whole term, with the only position giving me a little trouble being Tech, but I’m confident that won’t be an issue now considering who currently resides in the position. We’ve established some additional ‘Plans’ similar to the one we see in the show, to enhance our RP on the server. We’ve been able to do a decent amount of Outreach work, which has declined a little bit recently due to School and such, but should be picking up due to it almost being Summer. With the help of other Squad Leads and XOs within SOBDE I feel like I’ve been able to create an atmosphere of seriousness and stability for Bad Batch for the foreseeable future.

What improvements or changes do you plan on making within your battalion/squad?:

The only weak point that I feel like Bad Batch could improve on is doing a little more Outreach Work with 501st. We started off doing a pretty good amount, whether that be deploying with them, hosting sims for them, or just generally being around them. Over the course of my term as school has gotten a little more intense it’s dropped of, which is my fault, no doubt. With Summer just around the corner and my Semester being over we should see Outreach work increasing over the next few days.

Do you understand that if you go inactive that you will be removed from your position?:

Yes, I understand

Before you rant at me about why every point I'm going to bring up is false without even taking the time to read my points, let me just say that Mr. Baxter should have been removed from the gene pool before he had a chance to contaminate it. Let me skip right to the punchline: If Baxter doesn't realize that it's generally considered bad style to take the robes of political power off the shoulders of the few honest people who wear them and put them upon the shoulders of sappy potheads, then he should read one of the many self-help books on the subject. I recommend he buy one with big print and lots of pictures. Maybe then Baxter will grasp the concept that some of you are probably wondering, “Why can't we simply agree to disagree?” The answer may surprise you, especially when you consider that he uses obscure words like “barothermohygrograph” and “labyrinthibranchiate” to conceal his agenda to provide material support for terrorism. I find that having to process phrases with long words like those makes me feel hoodwinked, inferior, definitely frustrated, and angry. That's why I strive for utmost clarity whenever I explain to others that it would be great if we could examine Baxter's worldview from the perspective of its axiology (values) and epistemology (ways of knowing). Still, if we take a step, just a step, towards addressing the issue of officialism, then maybe we can open people's eyes (including our own) to a vision of how to challenge Baxter's victim-blaming ideology. True, accomplishing that is not easy, but not only does he weave his jaded traits, chauvinistic causeries, and garrulous objectives into a rich tapestry that is sure to feed us ever-larger doses of his lies and crackpot assumptions, but he then commands his fellow travelers, “Go, and do thou likewise.”

The plethora of obfuscating, multisyllabic phrases in Baxter's publications serves only to accentuate the obscurity of his prose. An obvious parallel from a different context is that he warrants that the modern world is morally decrepit and degenerate and that only he can set things right. This is an example of what psychologists call “motivated reasoning”: Baxter spontaneously generates arguments for the conclusions he wants to support. As sniffish as such arguments often are, they do serve to demonstrate that relative to just a few years ago, industrial-strength, morally questionable vocabularians are nearly ten times as likely to believe that Baxter's lynch mob is looking out for our best interests. This is neither a coincidence nor simply a sign of the times. Rather, it reflects a sophisticated, psychological warfare program designed by Baxter to make incorrect leaps of logic.

While self-justification may motivate infernal tightwads, the same policies also work well for lawless Pecksniffian-types. Perhaps if Baxter thought about it, he'd realize that the point at which you discover that his grunts shout the foulest obscenities imaginable at anyone who dares to work together in an atmosphere of friendship and hope is not only a moment of disenchantment. It is a moment of resolve, a determination that over the past couple of years I have had occasion to evaluate his musings in terms of their ability to funnel significant amounts of money to the worst types of disreputable mendicants there are. What I have discovered shows, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that it's scary how many people avouch that national-security interests can and should be sidestepped whenever Baxter's personal interests are at stake. That false perception is rooted in Baxter's public-relations machinery, which uses tactics chillingly similar to those of Big Tobacco: denial, doubt, confusing the public, and even buying the loyalty of bent scientists—at the cost of millions of lives. Let me close where I began: Mr. Baxter is out of control and must be stopped.

Memes aside.

I hate putting up negative things on apps but I have to be honest. You're a great guy and I've only had good talks with you but your activity with outreach work and in turn, your squad's outreach work has been really poor the last month of your term. In the last month, they're only 7 statted cases where Bad Batch has spent time with 501st. And from all the 501st I've asked they rarely or never see Bad Batch with us either in-game for events/trainings nor with just talking in TS. I even went asking other members of the  ATK battalions to double check as I'm not on at American times and they stated the same with them not seeing them with us. If you serve another term then I hope you take this to heart and start improving on this and getting your squad to do so alongside you. You are active but you and your battalions outreach work are not, and with that supposed to be your main work I don't believe you're fit to continue with the way It's been going now.

This is from me and my battalion.

Im not trying to sound like a dick, or start drama, but when I see bad batch on (around 5-6 pm est) there is barely any 501st on the server, like at most 4 people that ive seen. Most of the time your battalion has only 2 person on that arent afk when bad batch is on after school/work and etc. I think Baxter isnt really to blame on this one, but this is just my opinion

Followed by +1 from my part cuz I dont think I did.
