I've been working on a personal project as of recent, which has been to improve the quality of event jobs and such. Example (OLD vs NEW): This is not to say it'd get accepted by any means due to my rough development history, but I could make a better looking CGI model and hand it off to zim or something. Who knows. For now, I'd say that an HD model isn't exactly what we need.

Unless you all still don't have a log system, and I presume you do by now, most decent log systems include all forms of chat moderation. If it's an issue, someone can report it and staff can check the logs. If the one guy does it when no one else is on in his battalion, then meh.

The model was added, then removed due to issues known such as him having no legs/feet, the arms being broken, no finger bones, proportions of the arms and spinal area being too bendy, and the lighting getting messed up in multiple scenarios. But if you want it beyond those reasons then that's chill.

Let's not skim this by my friends. I've just been lurking, I don't give much care to what the fuck goes on here. But this is a good point. Albeit aaron was a little...out there, in terms of expressing himself, this should serve as a solid kick in the face to knock it off, as has been shown by a lot of previous perma bans that were appealed. I want you to kept that last bit in mind.

+1 For the love of all things holy. I have no personal vendettas, I have no quarrels, and I actually enjoy a couple of past people who ran the battalion previously. The fact of it is how no one wanted it, and still very very little people want it except for those who remain in it or friends of people in it. I will quote myself from another topic I posted on. "Look at 187ths scenario (sorry for using you all as an example but cmon). It's a battalion, it has potential to work in some world, but constantly and it has always been proven, it always gets the wrong leadership and the wrong people, and will continue to attract people as so." I have said this before and I will use it as a point here because in any and all honesty that's just how it is. I have only seen one good BCMD and that was the mad lad faoeoeoeoeeoeoe (accurate spelling of name). If people still want this battalion in the server with the constant struggle it puts itself in, the resources it always pulls away from high command and so on to try and push focus on it, and things of that sort, then jesus christ where are we. Event jobs are a suitable idea for battalions that people like that can never uphold themselves. The game needs to change, and change back to how it was when they weren't a thing is what I mean.

I don't doubt it, a lot of people do shit like this all the time. It's just a matter of if someone reports them/sees it happen or not. And at the point of it happening, it's too late to get solid evidence unless you record 24/7.

I do not agree with statements that this cannot be controlled. Game master officers+, or even head admins can just add it to things they should be doing. Or even people shadowing can help. Watching and containing the unfit and reported. Shouldn't be that hard. Make a system with a report form if anyone has complaints about said game master, look into it, deal with it. As for the idea itself, it's a mix. Anyone can do anything. Anyone who applies for staff can work their way up then break the fuck out of the server, it's been done before. This system might just need development and trust. However, there are the ups and the downs. Here is a list of staff powers. Highlighted in green is what the non staff should have in my eyes: Mute Kick Ban Whitelist Jail Weapon spawning Prop spawning Physgunning Admin chat Ability to modify properties via C menu Teleport Set health Set armor Freeze Toolgun access (weapons spawning only) And more. Thus making by this list alone, a normal staff member has more powers then a non staff game master. Making staff more desired. If you wanted MY opinion, get them to work with SA+ for things like props and big events (do not mistake this for me saying that they should be shadowed by SA+, because that is not what I just said). This will ensure a more contained system of what they can do. It's really easy to control, but just required the right people. Which is why I'm not so sure this can work at the moment, but people can prove me wrong if this does get accepted as I trust in a select few game masters and SA+ I don't have any intentions of defending this because I see both the goods and the bads to this. I just wish to point out what can come of it and how it possibly can assist the server. Who knows. Giving things a shot can yield the results to reach a solid verdict.

This doesn't need to be a server rule or whatever, just go talk to 104th and get it changed or fixed. If you want a negotiation called off, get someone of the proper rank to call it off (preferably HC, or CMD+ if no HC are available). The fact that people think they need to negotiate for a sergeant is dumb and they just need to fix their doc or smth, I don't know what they got goin. Just talk to 'em.

This is an interesting thing to discuss and it comes down to a lot of things. First of all. I want to make something clear to people. Just because we will be having an update soon doesn't mean we will be all high and mighty in numbers and it will maintain itself. The server needs proper leadership in the high command positions in both staff and roleplay, and maybe a few updates here and there. You need decent people who know how to make a server fun and know how to maintain a playerbase. A new map and a couple of model updates that hardly concern anyone except that specific battalion / regiment, doesn't have all the fun packed in. Maybe it's fun for a month or so. Then what? This is towards the update remarks I've seen. Second of all. If the playerbase does bump up like people say it will for the update, then maybe battalions can start kicking it again. Maybe they can't. As i stated in my update remark. LEADERSHIP. Battalions can only strive off the right people, every single one can (except those with no lore). Removing a battalion with the remark that they can't maintain numbers is quite an easy fix. Everyone is so god damn lazy now-a-days that it's a miracle to see a battalion striving in numbers with a snap of someones fingers and them saying they will focus on recruitment. People just need to put their foot down and step up or step down. Do the work you need to. You can't call it slave work or any other of those bullshit excuses i've heard so many times over the years, you signed up to play on a server the expects that much from you. Complaining isn't going to fix anything, just do your shit. There are a lot more factors that can go towards anything and everything, but at this current moment in time on synergy, this is a horrible time to make a post like this. You seemed like a decent guy leading up to you talking about your resignation in my sub channel. I was glad you didn't throw a fit or anything. But this is a huge change in pace, and emotion. I can tell you want to be with the community but some things are holding you back like the people or removal of sith, etc. A lot of people don't like a lot of things, but they don't go minging about and shit like this and advertise their stream saying "having some fun". I can get how you see it as lowkey minging or something, but it's a pain in the ass for anyone to deal with. If you wanted to voice yourself, then do so. Talk to someone. Talk to high command or the directors or just do something. That's something a lot of people fail to do and it's damn annoying. If this community is going to get better, people can't be acting like this or hiding behind a curtain with their emotions. People need to speak. Either way, my opinion is +1 to shorten to 2 weeks or a month. -1 to immediately free you. You need some time to think man.

I personally think adding clearance levels which is [Rank+] is [Clearance level] for certain areas would be better, not to mention joah did want high command to work on this in the past. It would be a good solution in terms of adding more shit, because you don't need a new addon to add clearance levels. Just text screens and a mind. That's just how I'd prefer to see it over keycards, albeit they are an interesting concept. Neutral

Tbh, I've always wondered why it's not allowed. I see no logical reasoning. It's something from the movie...in OOC. It hurts no one, and no one cares except for staff who are told to not allow that. Which can easily change. Just make it strictly AOSable, or bannable if you really are so hungry to ban, IC wise. OOC wise is super dumb. +1

Everything development wise has to be community. Like the command's fix for DB thread, we all already voted to change that. But it has to go through the whole server.
