It starts from the top down. Get people excited to roleplay and it should happen naturally. This used to primarily be done through events, either as an incentive to do excellent roleplay or as the main place that people would be expected to perform exceptional roleplay. One thing I tried to always do with battalions was reward their roleplay. Oh you decided to go to the armory and prepare for the mission that you are being deployed on tomorrow? Congrats you earned yourself 2 rocket launchers, or you jammed separatist communications giving them less reinforcements. The encouragement of this across battalion commanders, high command, and gamemasters is the only way for this to succeed. Forcing roleplay never works but naturally fostering it through high quality events, trainings, and cooperation across all leadership is the only way for the culture to change.

I always appreciated your great criticism of event, funny yelling and overall fun vibe. I often had to design events not around "what does the playerbase want" but what would "Conrad and Mavelle want" because that is what produced the best quality events that players didn't even know they wanted. If there was a mount rushmore of synergy Conrad would be on it. Classic Conrad Moments
