What makes the standard for bans?

Why was Kaiser banned, what dictates farming? Is it when someone threatens to topple the server credit monopoly that high staff hold?

Also why does credit exploiting result in a ban? Why not a wipe and hot patch? Give Warnings? I feel as if this could be serious unchecked power

Just looking at this graph helps you dictate that whenever we ban people of the community to an unjust expanse.

What I know of Kaiser is that he was a hard worker in whatever battalion he was in, so to see him get banned with seemingly no warning or anything is beyond shocking. If we banned everyone immediately for offenses, there would be no one to play on the server.

But god forbid somebody makes the mistake of doing quests faster to earn some quick cash. It's not like he was duping credits or getting millions in a second. Are the devs that hungry for money that they are willing to Community Ban someone over quickly doing quests? I spawned headcrabs in Sim Rooms and blew them up for a quick 40k, should I get community banned for cheating the a system that preys on the wallets of users and is a PTW server that completely ruins fairness and fun for the sake of money? I think a few months and even removing the credits earned would be enough.

As somewhat light hearted as this post is, I think it's a major misread of the situation for the people responsible for this decision to just try and joke it off. There's a legitimate question that people are posing, how and why was this decision made? Was this ban, and how it was conducted, fair? How does this ban rank to similar cases in terms of punishment? I think these things all need a clear, concise, and well reasoned answer that's taken seriously. It's not that the players can force a change on the decision, but if they don't trust or respect the people responsible for making decisions they're just going to choose to spend their time and money elsewhere.

There was a warning given out on 5/9 for Xp Farming/abuse

Then to find out there was an exploit that he failed to report and instead shared with a few and continued do said exploit in which he had known was for testing purposes from prior HS experience

Seems pretty plain and simple to me, willing exploiting and not reporting is a no no

FYI used to be one of the older members of Synergy, but at this point, nobody really takes him seriously anymore. He hangs around acting like his opinion still carries weight, even though the server clearly moved on without him a long time ago. Most people see him as washed-up and out of touch with how the community works now. Jad does a tremendous job keeping things together, everybody knows that, but I did want to bring attention to the 2025 copyright still being out of date. It’s a small thing, but small details matter when people are looking at the community. I figured it was worth mentioning so it can be updated and cleaned up properly. Strong communities stay on top of these things, and Synergy has always aimed to look professional. I appreciate all the effort that goes into managing everything behind the scenes.
