Suggestion: Give Tup a shield 

Implementation: Give Tup a deployable shield. Tups kit is lackluster offering barely anything more than the normal trooper whitelist this change would increase the want for people to go for Tup.

Lore: Tup was at the battle of Ringo Vinda so it would make sense that he could have a shield since

There will be absolutely no lore argument for adding anything to his kit tho? Can’t make him a medic he’s never been seen with medical equipment, can’t be a heavy he’s never been seen with a Z-6. He is however seen during a battle where a ton of other troopers were seen utilizing shields!

One character getting a shield won’t ruin the appeal of an entire subunit getting shields either. Ultimately this is just something unique for the job because most suggestions are just giving him basic kits from other jobs which in turn only takes away from other jobs in TC.

Its about as close as you can get to a lore reason to give him anything. And since shields aren't used anywhere else its a nice little bonus to something we don't see much of!

+1 I don't see an issue with 1 trooper getting a shield, yes it'll take away the uniqueness of Diplomatic Services. But for 1 trooper I think its acceptable.

wow I was about to snap at you and then remembered that we’re friends now so no need. 

 

While he may not have directly held one, he was fighting alongside DU and the 501st with shields in the episode where he executed Order 66 early. Imo there’s an argument for Fives AND Tup to get a shield for that reason, but just asking for Tup to improve the kit is reasonable.

My mindset on stuff has definitely changed as i've gotten older. I used to be a big defender of a lot of things i now can't stand and detest.  Things I used to not be able to stand I support. All part of getting older and growing as a person!

Tup is NOT a leader or special in any unique way beyond his unusual ingenuity which doesn't translate into gameplay that well. Giving him a shield at least gives him something to provide for his squad than just being a smart mouth and an extra gun +1
