Ryx/Wraith's SC BCMD Application

Ryx

Recommended Posts

Steam Name: [SR] Ryx [NA]

RP Name: TR SC TTL ESSL TECH CMD Wraith

Steam ID (SteamID Finder) STEAM_0:0:42221884

Battalion or squad you are applying for: Shadow Company

Experience:

My experience in the server has been quite limited, as I started out as a 212th and worked my way up to CPL, where I then joined SC as a SGT3, since then, I have currently worked my way all the way up to CMD. As the CMD of Shadow Company I have been overseeing many things such as overseeing the docs, pressing out punishments, and I am now currently the highest rank. I do have several years of experience at administration and leadership on servers, which has helped me develop myself as the current lone CMD of SC.

Why should you become a Battalion Commander?: I personally have helped bring SC back from the chopping block with Freck, along with my fellow Battalion members. I currently have several positions that I hold, like our sharpshooter lead position, and our leader position of our secret project. I am also the assistant director of our docs, which have been continually been updated every day. I want to continue Freck's legacy and push this battalion to the peak of its ability. I will be sure to continue expanding our numbers while continually training and preparing my members for their next mission. I may not have the most experience, but I do have the trust of my battalion members and I know how the battalion works from the inside-out. I am ready to lead us to greatness, and make Shadow Company great, and our former BCMD Freck proud. I am also working on advanced training and docs for SC to use to improve themselves, and I consistently press to better myself and my battalion.

Do you understand the lore of your battalion or squad?: Yes, I do. Shadow Company was an elite group of troopers created to replace the dwindling number of ARC troopers late in the Clone Wars. They were created by the Director of Republic Intelligence Armand Isard, and they had several special armor modifications, such as comm jammers and magseals.

Availability: During the weekdays, I play around 10 hours straight from 3 PM EST to 1 AM EST, and over the weekends, I may play up to 12-15 hours straight. I do have flexible times, and I am willing to adjust for my battalion's needs.

Estimate of how long you've played on Synergy Roleplay?: Around 2 months. On the server I have played near 600-700 hours.

Do you have a microphone?: Yes.

Where do you want your battalion or squad to be at the end of your term?: I want us to have a stable group of senior officers, and I want us to get our CMDs, since we've still not had more than one. I also want us to be recognized as a good choice for missions that Null and RC always do.

Do you understand that if you go inactive that you will be removed from your position?:  Yes.

If you have any feedback on what I should add or remove, please let me know. I'd like to elaborate on anything you guys want to know.

Nothing against you, I personally believe someone else would be more fit to be Battalion Commander.

I asked two overseers how it worked beforehand, and they did say that if Freck had resigned I was able to post afterwards, I may have missed that if it was a thing, but if a director does tell me I will void this app.

"Commander applications are once again open. Any position marked with a [Vacant] indicator is open for application. Before applying for a position please ensure you meet the minimum requirements." I asked Billiam when I posted my app and he told me to wait until it was Vacant on the roster.

Then if a director tells me I will void my app as I said. I do not want this to just be a flame war, so please stop arguing on my application. And also, without actual criticism of why I'm not ready, I can't actually improve.

-1. Ryx is a fantastic leader and knows what he's doing, but I'm afraid of the power getting to him. It's already been noticeable since getting Commander, how he favors people who have "experience", over people who actually do work for the battalion.

+Support. You are super active, and you have been with shadow company a long time. You had to make hard decisions with your rank and you have done good. +Support in a heart beat and I am in Shadow Company.

Okay, now, I've worked with Ryx countless times whilst I was in SC, and he was my side man on most of my projects.

I trust the lad to do good work within SC and I trust him to not let the power go to his head.

Of course, at the end of the day, Ryx in the future could become something nobody wants, and I just wish that a promise would be made to most people who are worried something like this could potentially happen.

But, I acquiesce.

I, along with Freck, was in Shadow Company and Spec Ops(when it was a thing) for a very, very long time it seems. I have seen good commanders and bad commanders. I knew the workings of the battalion inside and out. Until recently that it. Ryx, I enjoyed SC very much, but when you and Stahl began to change things, and not even notify me about these changes, It ruined the entire battalion for me, hence, why I left(for those I have not told). Not to mention, from what I was told, you complained about certain officers being of a higher rank than you, because you think we didnt deserve it or otherwise, adn was promoted 2 ranks due to it. That right there, is what really put me off with you in the beginning. You complained constantly and caused a good deal of drama within the battalion for a while, most of which I will leave out for the sake of those involved.

I hate to be like this, but no, I don't think you would be fit for the job. There are a few people in SC whom I think would do a much better job than you.

This gets a big -1 from me

Best of luck to you.

Nothing against you Ryx, but I 100% agree with what Ren is saying. No rating however, but I'm trying to put some realism into the matter. Now, this was not all him do edgy stuff in Shadow Company, there was many other people and they know who they are. This might be the last time I will log on as an SC but hey, it was worth it.

I completely understand where you both are coming from. The only reason though that you both were not very well informed is because you both haven’t been the most active, otherwise we have been posting most information on our Discord.

I haven't been the most active? Ok, anyway, I'm not talking about us not being well informed, I'm talking about you complaining to other higher people about how much the people above you don't deserve their rank. Not to mention, that you got moved up that way according to my sources.

If an officer was inactive or doesn’t do their job, I did bring it up to whoever was my CO. I understand that in some ways this may have seemed fishy, but if something bothered me I would let people know. As for me being promoted I can’t be held accountable for anyone promoting me, if they saw me ready to be promoted, they promoted me and that is their decision. Simple as that. I would like to stop arguing the finer points on this application and if you’d like to talk to me personally, I’d personally be glad to hear any more specific criticism. That offers me a chance to better myself as the current standing leader of SC.

While I have had some exposure to Ryx aka Wraith, it has always been professional and respectful. My troopers within GM have not expressed any distrust or negative reports about Wraith.

From my stance, not being under him or within the same battalion as him, I am giving a +1 with the hopes he continues to grow as a leader and mentor.

+1, very mature, and although he hasn't been here awhile, he has shown the absolute maturity, knowledge, and experience of when he has been here for the job. I quite honestly, no offense, see no other SC CMDs on, or that even encroach the activity that Ryx has. I cannot speak for COL- however. But, when Ryx was in the 212th, he was a model NCO, and was a very good leader. Also, with the activity bit, he is the best in SC that can actually apply for the position, that I have SEEN. He has 200 hours the past two weeks, which is insane, for someone with a job. He also has seen various role models and has worked with them and gotten tips from them: EX: Jagger/Oddball. I believe, that Ryx has the absolute maturity for the position. He has the communication, humor, leadership skills, and general fun to be around personality. In conclusion, Ryx, although not having many actual months of experience, is incredibly active and has been the months he has been here, has been a role model that can easily take charge of a situation, and is just a baller fucking dude.

Good Luck Ryx, you deserve the position.

Edit: I checked for any other SC applicants, and there were not any, or any outside SC applicants for that matter, which completely makes the phrase "There are better people for the job" Obsolete and transparent, as there is literally nobody else that wants the fucking job. Ryx is the only man for the job, and will do it beautifully

I cannot give my opinion, as Shadow Company has never shown themselves to me to be a battalion that is serious about the roleplay, recruitment, and themselves. If you receive this position I hope you can show me why you guys are so important.

Be assertive, be aggressive but not confrontational, and most of all, show us the fervor I expect from a specialized group of troops who are tasked with breaking enemy lines.

Let me sit down and talk about Ryx/Wraith for a moment:

Before the 101st was removed, I had encountered him a few times, but not a lot. To be frank, I had no idea who he was to be frank, but I knew that he was an alright guy, good head on his shoulders. When the 101st came in, he came in, expecting to just train a few of the members who were moving on to other battalions. what he got instead was us mourning the loss of our battalion and us remembering the good times. Instead of being like most people and seeing a major opportunity of "oh these guys are leaving 101st let's absorb them into the battalion" he sat there, and listened as each member of the 101st talked about their fondest memories in the battalion, and understood that we were all hurting over the loss of it. Ever since then, I have gotten to know Ryx/Wraith more lately, and I think he has great leadership potential. For someone to not take advantage of a shitty situation to his favor, and instead show sympathy when some of us needed it, that takes compassion, a trait found in natural born leaders.

With that in mind, I am giving in my +1 due to how dedicated he seems to his battalion, going so far as to research parts about it and tell his own battalion mates about the history behind it. I hope you get this position man, I think you'll be perfect for it

I distinctly remember the words..”Fuck your Discord I’m here for the porn.” But I really was hit hard by listening to your stories. SC is now much stronger since a lot of your officers and friends joined us, and honestly it does feel more like a family.
