Thought I'd do a check in, how are we all doing? Missing you all ofcourse, stay cool gamers <3 Enjoy some of my recent pictures:)

Hello, this is Hershel (since it's my most loved character by you guys.) When I first joined this server, my first ever Gmod server. I felt like an alien, I was so lost when it came to how to adapt and role-play. But overtime, though some mistakes. I learned. When i joined Naval, a new love was found. My love for Hershel. I wanted to create a character that adds a bit more goofy to the server (there is plenty but not in a more active way). I wanted to make the down time of the server the most fun and involve as many people. Hunter, Clones, Naval, and even senators. My goal was to add more stuff to do in the server. I then figured, if I wanted to do more for the server. I should apply for staff, grow to be one of the most active, fun and fair admins and host many events or activates for everyone. But after some recent events... I have changed my mind. I won't go into it. But all I can say is my motivation to be as active as possible has severely dropped. I fear that my time and effort will be in vain if I did apply for Staff. I fear that I will fail in my job to entertain and bring smiles and laughter to you all. I wanted to grow more, but now I feel nervous and even scared to write this. Will I lose my position? Get banned? Will I be looked on a different light? I don't know. All I can say, is that I feel more hurt than angry or upset. I wanted to grow more onto this server but I feel like it is not worth the risk to have my heartbroken. This server helped me out of my depression, it still makes me happy as all hell. But I feel like I will go back to my dark corner; I feel bad that my first ever form post is this sad. I am ready to discuss or talk to anyone. But I will be halting my attempt to join staff, as much as I want to do more for the server as I can. I feel it ain't worth the risk. Please be collected and calm, this is nobody fault or you should be angry or upset at. This is simply me announcing what was on my mind.... - Hershel

-1 I don’t have a problem with you gadget but I think GM/21st really needs to move in a different direction. The 2 battalion wipes have been to the same people always making the same decisions. If you do get accepted I really hope you do fulfill your promises of learning from the past and do things differently for the future of the battalion

Well to be completely blunt every civilian/BH I've ever interrogated/seen be interrogated acts like they're Dwayne Johnson and have no pain tolerance at all and just don't abide by FearRP for the most part. If you are getting interrogated by Special Forces and they are doing some fuck shit to you then yeah, it's not gonna be fair. This 100% makes sense even from a gameplay perspective because IR is SOBDE's special thing that they get so yeah they are going to be more effective at it.

Instant +1 Never seen a complaint about you even in the old days of 21st. You always been put to high regards from ever person I've spoken with about you. Just don't burn yourself out. Also: The only thing I ask is you remake Commander Gonk and have it call everyone defects every hour to annoy the shit out of people in the discord.

Everyone loves medical check ups! Everyone loves infection events that come from medical check ups! You used the worst possible example ever. Bad events make people want to play even less than no events. There is a reason population drops off so much right after our main server deployments. People are pissed off, want to just get their promotion at the end of DB and leave. I think the only reason people get on for these deployments is the pressure of their Commanders to get on and feel if they miss every deployment they will be considered inactive. Anyways, Heart is an incredible Gamemaster, but he hosted one of the worst events I have ever played in (No offense) and I believe it was not his fault in the slightest. Trying to run a good deployment with the lag of 100 people and trying to put enough NPCs for 100+ people and have enough space for it to not be a friendly fire machine is nearly impossible. Especially with the maps we are limited to. Everyone's fondest memories on the server are event server deployments with their Battalion/Regiment. For me, it is seeing @Conrad and@Shockpoint roleplaying together in my early days in 501st in a lore based deployment, or laughing my ass off when I was at 104th Deployments with @Cox, @Piff, and @Clutch. I miss being in Wolfpack and being able to do things especially made for us because the GM wasn't trying to handle 100+ players. I miss being able to hear what someone was saying because it wasn't laggy or SPC Bob wasn't playing a soundboard or screaming his head off. I miss sending off a BCMD with a fun event hosted specifically for our battalion. I MISS EVENT SERVER DEPLOYMENTS!! Seeing an deployment now makes me sigh. I want to get off before they start, but I feel the pressure to not be called inactive like I said earlier. I understand population drops off during deployments, but there is a way we can do both. Make sure as a High Staff and Command team that you are enforcing that people are hosting events, trainings, and doing roleplay during deployments and if they are not, then step in and do it yourself. I think we can also handle a slight population decrease for the well being of our players. People are sick and tired of the same limited events we have on main server and with these deployments. People are not going to stay for these events. If the event server is eventually going to come back how will this 70 player threshold (which is barely defined) change the problems you say it will cause. Please let me know if you had a huge discussion about this number and please explain why this random number will actually solve our problems. This number seems arbitrary and made up to try and get us playing. It seems we are close to hitting this 70 player number but its so undefined we never know if we are actually close. If bringing back the Event server isn't gonna happen please hear this. These full server deployments are sure as hell not helping our pop. We got to 100 players, Congrats, but to me thats 100 players who had a shitty experience today and will just get burnt out. I am one hair pulling event away from never showing up to a full server deployment again and I can guarantee I am not even close to the only person that feels this way.

"Im on my senator one time a week" Like I probably shouldnt have a say here. But holy shit if your only gonna play a RP character once a week, you should not be that RP character. You are just holding the spot hostage at that point. For this reason I would agree with your Removal and honestly -1 to this Commander Report.

Thank you for the comment and highlighting your concerns. I thought I'd respond and somewhat set things straight. I have no intentions of bringing back old stupid things, I appreciate what we were and how we got here but I don't want us to be the 21st of yesteryear. The past is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift, that's why I live in the present. We are a new batt, its a new year, and we are moving into this new dawn with wide eyes and open minds. Also, I was one of the few past Bacaras who actively changed old things as I hate stagnation, so I hope I won't disappoint. 🙂

Don't wanna step on 41st toes. They barely get to do AT as it is and I don't want one guy to cuck them with main character syndrome if that makes sense

I am wondering if there is a way to give unique roll bonuses to Bounty Hunters/CItizens. This system is a huge buff to the Republic and what they can do, but leaves Hunters with nothing and mostly affecting us with the Interrogation roll bonus. Some ideas are Medic just gets the Medic bonus like clones. Spy gets a deception bonus to combat basepass rolls and interrogation rolls. Heavy could get a bonus against being stripped/bound. I can't really think of anything else so if anyone else has ideas please drop them. I just think this negatively affects hunters, and that we can find a unique way to bring this benefit to the civilian faction as well.

+1 As the last SO BCMD, Gadget was the best at the transition between GM to 21st by taking in SO. Just don't burn yourself out...... .... and ill totally rejoin if you give me Blackout
