Time for me to move on

I never really made these kinds of posts because I always knew I'd come back, but, this time, to make sure I don't, I'll be leaving the different battalion Discords to ensure that I can actually stay gone. It's been over 3 years since I first got involved with this community (including pre-Synergy Icefuse) and I've made a few friends along the way that I'll never forget. Lord willing they won't forget either, I'll still keep in contact with them. There's only a few people from my time left and that's honestly for a reason, and now I've played this game too long. I came back this last time fired up and ready to go, 2 weeks later, ready to leave again. Time to just drop it, most of everyone from my time that's left is just staying because of obligations, they don't enjoy it anymore. I've got more hours in this server than I have in the rest of the games I've played combined and that means a lot. It's by no means a bad game, I've just ran out of reserve steam. I've just recently moved out to university and I've only got 2 years here so I want to make the best of it and actually get a life. Synergy is still the best damn community I've been in, and I've been in quite several.

I'm not much for individual shoutouts, so I'll leave it to a "I love you, you know who you are" type thing. I will say this to the one aspect of this community I'm the most proud of.

@Rancor Battalion - No matter what I may say, what I complain or bitch about, you guys are the best god damn battalion out there. People will say otherwise, but it's true. I couldn't be prouder of how it's turned out since the days Manson had control, and the ARC system is so solid that it's stayed in place across 2 communities and a dozen BCMDs with very little change. There are some aspects I don't like about it now, but that could just be the crankiness in me not liking change, or it could be a genuine issue, but, you'll work it out. I love you guys a lot. I couldn't even bring myself to leave to another battalion recently even though I said I would.

 

Every single one of the best moments I've had in gaming have come from you guys, and yes, I will miss it, but it's not good for me to keep staying, I need to make sure I move on this time. CWRP always looms in the back of my mind and sometimes it takes priority when it shouldn't. Believe me, this is gonna hurt, it's killing me just writing this. Love you guys, have fun in Clone Wars, keep it serious RP, don't feel obligated to play if you don't enjoy it.

We're still in contact, but I wanted to put this down somewhere official, so here.

We have had our ups and downs Fizzik, but we have both always had the same thing on our mind with Rancor, Since the first time I became Blitz, I saw what you wanted from Rancor and it wasn't so different from mine, and while I don't want you to go and I wanna just say "stick around" it's understandable why you would leave Rancor and the Server.

It definitely took a while for me to warm up to you considering our less than stellar introduction, but now that I'm here 2 years later, I think you were an amazing Commander and Officer, and your insight was invaluable in keeping the Battalion's values true. I suppose the time of old ARC is beginning to pass, as much as I wish it wouldn't, but that is that, and I suppose I will stick around to see what happens. It hurts to know we don't have the original Commander Blitz anymore, but we must continue to march on to see what the future brings.

I wish you farewell from the Rancor Battalion, and it's been an honor to fight alongside you.
