I'll give a bit of background about the situation because I was involved. Before the whole thing occurred, Sniff was waiting on a PTL and wasn't getting a response from the BO that were up there, so he took it upon himself to go to the BCC without signing in (or at least getting permission) and open the gate. He was arrested for trespassing and pushing buttons because Knight Initiate =/= Knight. He wasn't eligible to be in the BCC anyhow, let alone have the clearance to push buttons. It would have also been breaking the rule of granting your own PTL which is a big no-no. He was soon bailed out after, but rather than dropping the situation, he made a big scene at 4th floor about his arrest, initially just asking why he was arrested (which I explained to him, multiple times) and then it evolving into him growing more frustrated and aggressive. The Jedi General who bailed him out, myself and Carvis told him to drop it, in which he was failing to do. It took me counting down from ten as if he were a kid before he finally started to walk away, and in doing so, he did so saying "You're all fags" to the crowd of people he had attracted. Now, while I wasn't going to arrest him for doing this, (knowing he was frustrated, so I wasn't taking anything he said at face value), he was in fact AOS'd by Carvis and there was a good minute or two of us hunting him down before he disconnected. Due to the policy on L2AP, he was banned. And yes, I can confirm that he was AOS'd BEFORE he disconnected, as can the other Shock that were present.

It makes sense to me. If someone is asking for permission to speak, they should be able to... well, you know, SPEAK! +1 Just because it saves time!

I mean while we're at it, how come we don't address the fact that half the playerbase just kind of disappears out of context sometimes? How come we all never load up onto LAATs and take off before deployments? It's just the question if people will stop being lazy. Not needed as a suggestion, Mr. Jan Donanna. Geez... Look, dude, we have a lot on our plate as it is. I really don't see this as a feasible way to get 5th Fleet back into a server that doesn't really need it. I like the idea, (in fact I was just talking with some others the other day about having the RM model being an alternate bodygroup for the Base Ops Med) but we're Shock, not 5th Fleet. Plus, as was stated, the fact that we have lore characters really fucks with the idea. Also, CG DID watch over Republic Vessels as well. They were a general security service group, especially when it came to Senators traveling with them.

No sense in holding off on reminding them. It's a badass weapon, and the fact that we can't see it is kind of a bummer.

Sorry to say, y'all but you guys both cause a hell of a lot of trouble whenever you're on the server. Both of you get multiple arrests per session so I'm more inclined to believe that you were both breaking server rules and just got caught. Also, I'm keenly aware that you guys always L2AP and then instantly reconnect. I've had to deal with it on multiple occasions. Who was the person that he was going to arrest?

I've basically already stated my opinion on this in the "Allow Public Callouts" post. But I've seen demotions on other servers before and they don't look like something that could be abused, actually. However, this server can be like a High School sometimes and the public shame might extend further than it needs to be (bullying). That would be breaking server rules and would probably cause a lot of people to either be arrested or pulled into staff sits. I would say give it a trial week, but demotions don't happen as often and odds are people wouldn't honor that anyway. Trust me, I really want to support this, but it'll cause a load of issues...

This is absolutely absurd and it's easy to see exactly what you're doing. This is all purely out of spite and Nick was never a bad kid regardless of how irritating he could be at times. You know that server you two co-ran is going to die and when you report him on the Synergy forums, you're literally trying to suck everything the kid worked for -- both on his own time and on Synergy's. You took the server's rules and protocol and threw him into a position in which he can't fight back. Your character is poor and you severely messed up.

In the Old Republic times, the Yuuzhan Vong did have an encounter with Canderous Ordo during the Mandalorian Wars. However, it was hardly a full-scale invasion and little more THAN an encounter. If this were to work, these full-scale invasions couldn't happen and it would be just like the previously mentioned one (considering Synergy still tries to follow the timeline). Realistically, this is less of a post for a server suggestion and more one for Event Ideas. But who says it has to be the Vong? Kaminoans are already extragalactic so it's not unlikely that something could just come from outside. Either way, I'd love for an opportunity to see something like that done for an event.

+1 Clegane goes too far sometimes with his jokes, but really it should have been left at a warning. I don't think Dragon was in the fault here, but he's a long-standing and dedicated member of the community and probably wouldn't have done it if he realized that it would be taken to this degree.

If this is going to be added to the DL, we're gong to have to severely limit the people who come in. When we were on extensive, it was absolutely cancerous; especially with doors that could insta-kill people. We don't have that now, but the voice chat being cluttered is very annoying, especially with CT PVT BenShapiro who got arrested for screaming the N word sitting in the cell while we interrogate Cad Bane for the 50th time trying to talk about his arrest being false. We should probably work out a "first come, first serve" idea. Like maybe not have every Commando, Null, Senator, HC, and Jedi Shadow trying to get in the same cell.

If that's an alt account made for your own ban appeal, then I gotta say... give me that neck.

-1 No, that would be unfair to the people who slaved weeks and months of work to get a functioning body. Shock already have a job to do and all the extra shit would easily discourage our Junior NCO's and Enlisted. I was under the exact same mindset a while ago, but I realized that Base Ops has a purpose. The joke of them being glorified doormen stems from the fact that, like everyone else, they have to create their own RP. They just don't have the sole purpose of gunning down droids.

As someone who has given out punishments like these fairly frequently, I can say that most of the time there's a reason why the harsh PT happens (your Gregor Laps, Z-6 laps, etc.) I've personally been trying to move away from these punishments by basically forcing them to do more work in the battalion because of their mistake. However, in some situations, that harsh PT is warranted. If you do something like disrespect, then perhaps I could make you work to get a certain amount of recruits; it would make you have to be better with people and build some charisma. Your lesson would be learned. But if you do something like RDM, then there IS no way to teach you really anything; the best I can do is just tell you to not RDM should PT be limited. Basically, these punishments have a point. There are a few bad apples out there who love to watch kids suffer but those people can be handled by their superiors formally.

Yeah, can confirm on this one. We caught him walking around on whitelists he shouldn't have been on. The concept of 2ndLT Stone was incredibly funny, but that's pretty fucked.

I can't believe this is happening again. This is like the third time. And Freck? Really? I'm under the impression that no one is above the rules of anything, but this is an overreaction at the very least. Considering all the bans I saw yesterday, I'm not even sure how legitimate these are. Could we not have solved this by talking about it?

I can see the point, I just feel that people can't be trusted with leniency on this. There's always going to be a line between criticisms and insults, and I feel that those who get up and say "HEY, 501st, YOU GUYS SUCKIN' FUCK AND ARE A BUNCH OF INCOMPETENT RETARDS" will use the allowed callouts as a safety net if they get in trouble. And, eh... there's kind of already ways to criticize people without breaking the rule. If this does get accepted, I hope it's at least made very clear that being straight up disrespectful will still get you in trouble. But as for me, I'll put it to a -1. Just feel it's not needed if anything.

Name: Ratio Suggestion: Stated in the title. In my eyes, there's never been a reason for this restriction. The idea that it can reach heights of "AOS for FailRP" is really too much. Implementation: Just a change of the server rule and removal of the text screen in the training room. Lore: While there is no lore to back this idea up, that doesn't mean that a Jedi or Clone have never saluted or bowed respectively. In fact, I can think of a few scenarios in which it not only not FailRP, but RP-friendly. -Clones- Clones may come to a situation where they're met face-to-face with royalty or someone of higher importance. Let's say it's a Queen, for instance. In this scenario, you would not "salute" the Queen because she is not technically your military superior. You would bow respectfully instead. Clones might want to bow before a Jedi Master rather than saluting them. Let's say that the Clone likely wants to cater to their position in the Order rather than their position in the GAR. It's just a more general way of showing respect. While they would likely not bow to their BCMD, chances are they would do so to a Senator or a Civilian. -Jedi- Jedi hold a position in the GAR as Generals and Commanders. If running military affairs, they might more than likely represent that cause. For example, if Clones are lined up and standing at attention, the Jedi might salute to put them all at ease. In briefings, after a promotion, it doesn't really make sense why a Jedi can't salute. No debrief speaker says "Everyone salute or bow to your..." they ALWAYS say "Everyone salute your..." Jedi might respond to an Admiral or someone who's higher on the rank food chain than them. If they are military personnel, it makes more sense that they would salute them. (although in this scenario, I could see them doing both) It's simply player choice on how they want their character to act. If they want a gentleman Clone, allow them to have that. If they want a cunning, military expert Jedi, allow them to have that as well. Plus in general, it seems silly that performing a simple action that literally anybody can perform is an instant AOS.
