My main goal is to get involved in the Gamemaster Program. I have 3+ years of experience as a gamemaster, and a strong passion for storytelling. It is my firm belief that a gamemasters role is that of a storyteller and not that of a gameplay designer. While constructing a fun and interesting challenge is crucial the main crux of your job is to tell a compelling story within the star wars galaxy. I have always been a person who enjoys the telling of these interactive stories and bringing enjoyment and fun to hundreds in small, and large scale events. There is no greater opportunity currently to do so than here in Synergy, and luckily due to the new rules I may have the opportunity to tell these stories again to a much larger audience. If I can brag for a moment my events were widely regarded as top tier in the community that I hosted them and I did so without the luxury of an event server which is a chore to manage without core fundamental management / delegation skills. With the amazing tools provided by the server, and warm player base this seems like an opportune time to tell new and exciting stories. Tell us a little about yourself (3 sentence minimum): I’m a 22 year old new grad who went to a state university majoring in computer science, with a minor in mathematics. Currently working as a software engineer at a well known company. Hobbies include architecture design, martial arts, drums. Been with the community for close to 2 years, spent all that time in Rancor, and started playing starwars RP right after HFG died for the first time. I am also currently the Intel Deputy Director for the Intel Team. Do you have any previous staff experience? As mentioned above, I have been in the starwars RP community since right after HFG died the first time, I got my start in a community known as AfterShock Gaming where I was an admin, and head gamemaster. As head gamemaster I was responsible for fostering a fun, and engaging roleplay environment. I oversaw a team of around 20 gamemasters and managed the team to produce a total of around 300+ events during my tenure, with an overall satisfaction rating of good, from players.
