I agree for dbs and such, maybe a 2nd version tho that'd be a bit wasteful for space. But for events i think the buildup adds a nice touch. Either way i think it'd be a good addition but i like the intro personally

I know this used to exist through ULX, it was just an esp toggle so it should really be doable. My only concern is that this would lend to... a lot of cheating potentially from the staff team, in pvp or during events or tryouts or whatever. Not a huge deal and I dont wanna be a nay sayer or anything, but it seems pretty intentional that spectate disables you from actually doing anything in the meantime. If we require adminmode for it we both know very well there will pretty easily be bugs to get around that. Neutral for now leaning +1, do you have any ideas for limiting staff just using this whenever they feel like it?

Yes, as I said in the suggestion it's to add a ts ui through tsviewer. Regarding adverts in the server chat, in the years I've been using the service nothing remotely like that has ever happened, all that means is that they have advertisements on their website, which it looks like gets enough traffic to pay for the very minimal server load. for the second part if a dev wants to set up a database for us, it doesn't really hurt, i couldnt care either way this is just the easiest way to do it imo. LMAOO tru, but i really dont think we need to use a paid service unless someone finds somethin bad about it other than that it runs ads on its website. Either way tho if founders feel like dishing out the money for whichever reason not really a downside.

It'll allow people to see who's on if they're either away from their pc, or not able to get on ts. Less frequent members will be able to spot if their friends are online by visiting the forums as well. Also more information is always great, and it looks aesthetically pleasing. For instance I have people I need to speak to and want to catch online, but otherwise I'm busy or not available for gmod stuff, so personally it'll help with organizing meetings and etc. How will this improve the Forums? Another reason to check in on the forums, fills out the bottom right side a little more, fits in very well with our current format, and provides another link for new players from our website to the TS. I've used this before and it's very easy to set up, pretty customizable too. Personally just a quality of life thing I've been wanting for a while for this server and finally decided to throw up the suggestion. Ye, we already have a system for senate commandos and such guarding senators and the chancellor. We could write a little more stuff up to let them be on this model while guarding palpy.

This is a server issue, not a battalion issue. Servers been pretty low activity recently, and having an OOC lounge with 10+ people at all times including during full events just hurts the server more.

people escaping to the OOC lounge instead of going to events generally hurts the server. People that want to actually participate in these events are left with like 3 other people showing up to help them and 15 people sitting in OOC lounge. I think compromises like this need to be made to keep the media player in game without it harming the server, as it often does now. +1

ive been challenging random troopers to 'dejarik' and then sending them a chess link on my senator for days now. havin an ingame chess script would be litty titty. +1

i mean my ping and frames are generally pretty aight, but the server framerate can get pretty low at times. There's definitely been a lot more lag on the new box, at least from what ive heard in my friend groups. at this point its just he said she said or whatever, but personally i think it'd be better for server performance if we didnt have a script like this

as far as im aware this works fine, its just really laggy (like a lot of good weather mods). Personally wouldnt be a fan of adding this rn, with the server as it is rn
