Real life inspires roleplay in literally every way, shape, or form. Star Wars is powerful and appealing to so many people because it draws on SO MANY THINGS from real life. I really don't think this suggestion has any ground to stand on, and according to Merill's post and the BH discord, it was ultimately made for a dumb reason anyways. -1

The best advice I can give you is to respond on the AAR and make it clear that the event job spawncamping was ruining your overall experience. There are steps individual game masters can take to prevent spawncamping that would prove much more effective than implementing a hard rule in the program. Grace periods are hard to enforce and we already have enough of an issue with spawncamping AOSes being called over the most minute things. I'd probably just put props down and make it clear that once you cross a certain thresh-hold you are fair game to be killed. -1

Oh boy, it's another semi-serious / serious RP debate... I'll +1 this, as most people I see on the server already speak OOC pretty much anywhere when nothing is going on and that seems to be what they enjoy- and the railing thing is pretty dumb. Even if it makes sense, it really doesn't matter. The server is always going to be more fun to more people if it's more laid back, and if you want to do serious roleplay with your buddies- you're more than welcome to.

I haven't heard or seen much of actual roleplay from the existing CIS jobs. Not only does this not make any sense whatsoever, but I don't believe it will actually add anything. -1

I've witnessed my fair share of "RDMs" as an officer, BCMD, or HA that I haven't issued an AOS for. I've also witnessed my fair share of other rule breaking that I haven't issued an AOS for. I agree with Marvel, people just need to be less AOS happy and more willing to investigate a situation and talk shit out. I'd say easily 90% of the time someone makes an honest mistake when they violate a rule (accidental click, wasn't aware of the change, etc). -1

I don't really think having 1-3 battalion-less positions that attempt to make the server more welcoming for CTs is necessary or would accomplish much of anything. As Baron points out, there is a problem with how CTs are treated- regardless of their level of maturity, discipline, and experience. Even just a few months ago I don't think I would've given a CT the time of day, but Baron opened my eyes and since then I've made an effort to approach them more and be more approachable myself (and I've had some delightful interactions). I think the best thing we can do for CTs on the server is have everyone open their eyes a little to how they treat CTs and newer players. -1

Looking at those pictures... I.. uh... +1

What Eclipse said works. I've used getting into and then out of a gunship to fix this glitch several times. So, that's a temporary way around it at least.

I agree more with the +1 side of the argument, it's just unnecessarily tedious to require Channel Admins to jump through so many hoops- particularly when 90% of the time you're just moving someone into or out of your private channel, or moving someone into a channel as a higher ranking member of a battalion. I don't think I've ever actually had to move someone out of my channel for violating a channel code or for any other type of "disciplinary" thing. As long as it's not an insane hassle to implement, which I don't feel like it would be, +1.

Placing perma props in cantina is something that High Staff has decided not to do for, I presume, server performance reasons. More permaprops mean less can be done in terms of dupes and NPCs and vehicles spawned and what-not. So I doubt anything will be permapropped in the cantina. With that being said, I'm glad to see that you're coming out and making a suggestion to increase passive RP. Lucky for all of us players are already well within their right to request that staff place some props for them so they can conduct some passive RP. Furthermore, if you'd like to run a sort of unofficial business in the cantina or mess hall, feel free to reach out to a member of the Navy as they could probably setup an RP story by working with some staff, or reach out to a Game Master (provided you're VIP) and perhaps he could setup an encounter where you're some sort of travelling chef and you can roleplay that way. I'm both an SA and a Captain in the Navy, and I'd be more than happy to help you set something up.

I hardly want to imagine what Shockpoint and Jake would do with these... +1

Name: Foxey RP Rank: Jedi Commander, Naval Captain, Clone Colonel Suggestion: Add the LFS compatible Munificent & Acclamator vehicles. Alternatively, add the props for the Munificent & Acclamator to the server. Implementation: Adding the LFS Munificent & Acclamator to the server so they can either be used directly or the props of them can be spawned. Lore: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Munificent-class_star_frigate https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Acclamator-class_assault_ship Workshop content if applicable: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2017612015 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2017582717 Other: Both of the ships are equipped with turrets that will exchange fire back and forth if spawned next to each other and the turrets will also target LFS vehicles from the opposing side. This might cause lag, which is why I am totally fine with just the props being added too. The primary reason I believe this should be added is that it would prove incredibly useful for Game Masters in the creation of events and it would make events far more immersive, particularly when it comes to the deployment of drop pods and what-not. CIS Landers had fallen out of use by the Clone Wars, particularly by the end- which is where we are right now. This would simply be very cool. Oh yeah, also with these ships back the 21st and other Jet Troopers would be able to do boarding again, just like the old days.

I don't see these getting added tbh, like Forseen said these are just 3 models with a few color options. They're cool though, so I'd be happy to see them added. +1

Unfortunately, 99 is dead. He is a character that is beloved by Clones in and out of character alike. I think the only thing that would come of this is people constantly disgracing the character of 99. We have enough useless jobs that don't do anything. -1

I mean if you combine your suit zoom with the scope of a rifle, you'll be able to see just fine. I just don't really see the point when suit zoom is built into the game and we have scopes. Binos back in the day never got used for anything for that reason. -1

-1 Just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me for the 41st to remove a bunch of their jobs because they "wouldn't actually be used in a lot of recon situations". I mean, "Recon" isn't just one or two guys with ARF helmets and snipers playing spot the droid. We see the 41st engaged in large-scale confrontation in the prequels. Just doesn't make any sense man.

It's just... not a good idea. It's not a good time to propose this idea. Regarding the community, the server, well, really every perspective forces me to say... -1

A general rule of thumb before posting any server suggestion is to do some testing on your own. It helps to develop a list of detailed pros and cons so that everyone reviewing the suggestion doesn't have to test on their own. Either way, -1 this map is terrible and I'd much rather go to some version of Anaxes. We all loved Endor. We have fond memories there. Just let Endor be a memory.

I've spent a bit of time doing some looking around, some testing, and I've come to a general conclusion about my opinions on this map. Is it better than Titan Base? YES. Is it better than the original Anaxes? Well, not really. From the perspective of the Chief Flight Officer- this map seems too good to be true. Unfortunately, it is. The Space above the planet has one entry and exit point, meaning that when you fly above a certain height it will place you in the center of the space region and you will be facing 0 degrees north. When you fly too high in the space region, it sends you down to this point as well. When you want to leave the space region, you fly down and are teleported to a set location right outside of the base, facing 0 degrees north. If the teleportation isn't annoying enough when trying to perform offensive / defensive maneuvers around the main base, the fact that you enter and leave the region facing north is worse- as the LFS ships go haywire adjusting to the new mouse direction. The skybox on the actual planet is also significantly lower than on the original Anaxes, making ground support and flying within view of the ground much more of a challenge. From the perspective of the average trooper, I still like the base. It hasn't changed much. But the surface of the planet overall? Well, in my opinion the outposts on the original map were better. They seemed less out of place, less a combination of a bunch of random assets. I believe the two outposts, the tower, and the village made for much better map decor than the options presented in this map. The Jedi & Bounty Hunters just seem to be giving up quite a bit for not much payoff. I wouldn't really say the Jedi and the Clones having to spawn in the same massive base increases roleplay between them in any significant way. When Compared to Original RP_Anaxes: PROS: Increased Map Size Slightly Different Map Layout CONS: Glitched Lighting Buggy / Poorly Built Space / Skybox Feature No Jedi Temple No Bounty Hunter Village Lower Quality Outposts Expanded Area is Barren Inferior Optimization (In my experience during testing) Ultimately, I feel Original RP_Anaxes is a better choice for our next map. Have we been there before? Yeah, we have. But it beats Titan Base and it beats this revised version of Anaxes. Perhaps this map could be added to the event server pool as the barren wasteland below the map would probably be a cool place for deployments. -1 (I would prefer this map over Titan Base but I would much rather prefer the normal Anaxes already in pending)

I remember when we were on this map... it wasn't great. If this suggestion isn't denied anyways for being far too similar to the multiple other Venator suggestions that have been denied time and time again, it'll be denied for that reason. Just hop on the Base Map Rotations train! -1
-
As did we all- though unfortunately even if the map is still out there somewhere, I highly doubt it could hold up performance wise.
-
The only rotation that has been attempted to my knowledge is switching to a Venator, which had a negative impact due to the map. But the playerbase does fine on Titan Base and did fine on Anaxes. It's about some variety in both playerbase and event making.
-
*I understand that a Venator Extensive Rotation suggestion was recently denied and I hope this suggestion for general rotations between two base maps is different enough to abide by the Server Suggestion Rules.* Name: Foxey RP Rank: Lieutenant Colonel, Jedi Knight, Captain Tarkin Suggestion: Rotate the server between Titan Base and Anaxes (and perhaps additional successful base maps) on some sort of schedule. I'd suggest using the new universal discord to put out a poll or something to determine the length of rotation the community wants. Implementation: Simply have a VA, HA, or Director switch the map on a routine schedule. Lore: N/A Workshop content if applicable: N/A Other: I created a post in General Discussion almost a month ago hoping to discover the reason that a suggestion similar to this (regarding Venator Extensive) had been left in pending. That suggestion has since been denied. Venators don't help the server population, it's a proven fact- and I accept that. As much as I would like to spend 3-7 days on a Venator during a rotation, I understand that the server takes a hit when that happens. With that being said, I am true to my words- I want a rotation. I want variety. Most other people I talk to would like variety as well! Titan Base is a good map, the different planets offer some unique possibilities for main server "deployments", it gives Bounty Hunters a little bit more ground to stand on, the base has a nice medbay, a nice generator room, and a nice BCC. It's got some other cool mechanics as well. Overall, it's an enjoyable map. But it does have flaws... There's quite frankly not a skybox, the different planets are quite bare bones and stale, and like anything... it gets boring after awhile! Anaxes is also a good map, the big planet contains multiple outposts, caves, and a village. There's much more room for Game Masters to build massive event dupes that can be stumbled upon by patrols, and there's a large base that is fun to spend time on, and there's a skybox. Anaxes & Titan Base are very different maps. I think the server would benefit from spending a bit of time on both- especially since at this point we've spent a similar amount of time on both maps and it's a good time to switch. I'm getting bored, others are getting bored, so let's get some variety going!

I recall server bans for disrupting Slate's ceremony.
