This was very long ago but I hold it close to my heart because this was my first exposure to becoming a leader. I obtained ARC status and learned on how to be a leader and what it takes. This information helped me pass the Ghost Company Tryouts, becoming the lore character Reed (OG Pumpkin models). 

187th (Pvt-1stlt)

After trying SWRP again in November 2019 I decided to  join 187th. More mature in life I was able to look at the game with a new perspective. The BCMD at the time till the merge with 501st taught me many things, from being positive, and thinking outside of the box.

Rancor Battalion(CSM-CMD)

I joined rancor through the Alpha-ARC sub-unit back in January starting as Alpha-98 CSM Nate making my way up to Captain (was 1stLT prior to joining). Under the command of the Valiant of the time Rezz, I was able to find my voice in a leading position showing my potential to all of Rancor. At the beginning of March I obtained Alpha-17(Captain), Alpha-77 Fordo (Major), and then half way through the month I got promoted to Commander Havoc and currently still hold the position.  

Why should you become a Battalion Commander?: 

My reason in applying for Battalion Commander Havoc of Rancor is to further improve the quality and state of Rancor. Having known and spent a lot of time with the current active Rancor, there is still room for improvement. With that being said, I want them to not just get on for Requirements and for the rank, but to become motivated for the battalion and themselves.

So with becoming Battalion Commander Havoc I hope to improve and solidify the expectations of Rancor in-game and in TeamSpeak. I would like to think that when people look at me they feel like they are able to talk to me about any possible problems relating to the battalion and/or myself.

Estimate of how long you've played on Synergy Roleplay?: 

I first Joined Synergy in 2017. Stopped playing after about 2-3 months then late October 2019 rejoined and played since.( in total about 9 months with 1000+ hours on the server)

Where do you want your battalion or squad to be at the end of your term?:

Downtime- I constantly try to get Officers in Rancor to host trainings after encounters to get people on and playing on the server. I will try to personally create multiple dupes for PvP( practice for BvB) And PvE ( basic Tech, EOD, MED, etc.) with diverse layouts.

Alpha Designation Trials- With Alpha designations being highly requested re-addition, I plan on bringing them back new and improved from last time with the help of the current Valiant. Sooo… they are a work in progress ATM.

Environment of Rancor- Toxicity has died down amongst Rancor, but with new people coming into the battalion, I want current and veteran members to be able to set a good example for the battalion. Having our current system in place is great, and I will try my best to mainstream it and promote more awareness. I want people to have fun playing this game whether it’s in Rancor or not.

Battalion ARC’s- With the current Battalion ARC system, many players just get to the required rank, pass all three trainings, and move on. Only interacting with Rancor in events/encounters every so often or when absolutely necessary. I Will try to do the following: create a server wide weekly or biweekly ARC Certified only event that will entail almost all of the training taught in the three ARC training sessions.

ARC Training- As of my time with Rancor, the training sessions without outside delay were always on time. So I would like them to continue the Reliability of Rancor. Also with many players being EU they can’t always make it to our regularly scheduled training. So I would like to have a set weekly time in the morning for someone to host training.

Public View of Rancor- Rancor has had a stigma in the past of being, ”we’re too good for the rest of the battalions,” and I want to change this view. I hope with my Idea for creating ARC certified events for the server it will open up Rancor’s door to the people so we can clear that stigma. By the end of my term I hope that Rancor is transparent with the server.

I remember staying up for like 6-7 hosting Alpha ARC Tryouts when you FINALLY passed. I can say without a doubt that you joining Alpha was my happiest (and most relieving) moment. Not only was I finally able to go to bed, but look at where you are now. You and I are alike. We followed the exact same path, and became better people because of it. You may be one of the younger members and a newer Rancor Commander, but you are definitely just as worthy as your predecessors and superiors. Lead Rancor down a good path bro. +1

But opposite to retard you were mature and stayed out of trouble as i asked. You were one of my alphas so that says alot in general. I won't be giving a plus one or minus one to either candidate, and I have done this with nearly every blitz position that was contested by more than one candidate. But never more so than now do I think it is natural to do so. 

 

Both Pranzer, and Solerino are good examples of leadership and have different qualities that makes them a successful leader.

As for Solerino, while he is newer to RANCOR he has made his impact with his qualities as a leader. Typically whenever a hard discussion or conversation is needed I find myself hoping Sllerino is around for that discussion. This is a quality few leaders can possess without coming off as an asshole, but Solerino manages it great by still having like, and respect from his men while still being a leader who can approach these difficult topics. Another strength of Solerino is his ability to manage within the battalion he is very good at making sure all our members are doing well, and addressing grievances as needed, as well as holding the same lore character I did (blue boys for life)

I must also praise both candidates for their work on ARC trainings I can’t remember the last time we missed an ARC training which is a badge of courage for the current RANCOR high command members. Well done boys!

I would also challenge both candidates to think past our current systems / processes, and think of ways to improve the current systems that RANCOR has. While what we have works well and is a solid foundation, no matter what process that touches, whether it be rank requirements, intel, how we conduct our ARC trainings and content therein, or anything. I can’t help but feel that we could continue to improve and create a better ARC system for both ourselves, and the server and one of my selfish desires is for a future candidate to continue to expand on our rock solid foundation laid by SIxta and many of the previous BCMDs

+1 tho, during my time as this mans Battalion commander, it was obvious to me that he needed more, he needed to progress in a battalion that was i guess more prestigious that 187th. When he moved to rancor, it only went up from there. Best of luck
