91st Heavy 2 Electric Boogaloo

Suth

Recommended Posts

Name: Suth

RP Rank: SSG

Suggestion: 91st Heavy

Implementation: Use them as a ground force for 91st like putting them with 91st troopers, medics, ARC's or have a Jet trooper carry them up to a cliff or tower and have them fire down on some enemy's with the z6.

Lore: No lore saying they didn't have any so I don't see the problem with letting us have this one every other battalion has a heavy even the other recon regiments.

Workshop content if applicable: The 91st have a model that is completely unused the 91st Sharpshooter model.

Add or Change: Add

Job: Heavy

Slots: 10

Pay: 350

Description: Cue 91st troopers fighting a wave of B1 and B2 battle droids losing brother after brother in the process slowly getting surrounded thinking to themselves this is it we've failed the republic until in a moments notice five 91st heavy's show up on BARC speeders with locked and loaded z6's ready to take down droids and make sure none are left out

Model: models/player/synergy/cblake/91st/sharpshooter/91stsharp.mdl

Weapons: DC-15s, DC-15a, z6 rotary blaster.

tfa_swch_z6

tfa_swch_dc15a

tfa_swch_dc15s

Other: I would gladly become 91st HVYO I wanna lead it into becoming something in the 91st that we take with pride and if it gets declined then that's fine ill just keep trying but it just feels like the 91st are being left out on interesting opportunities.

-1, The 91st is a mobile recon battalion, specialized in recon. If you want a heavy job then simply go and play in a battalion that specilization allows you to have a heavy job.

The 41st have one as they are not a recon battalion, they are a marine corp. That specilize in Infantry, Armour and Ariel combat. It makes sense for their sub units to not have one, as they are scouts(ARF in terms of the server) The overall 41st which is infantry should have a Heavy.

Yes, 91st may be a Corps which is a large infantry group, but the specilization this corp has just doesnt make sense to have a heavy trooper.

This literally got denied when quebec put it up for Heavy not fitting the battalions/corps specilization. Jobs are designed to fit the battalion. And that was when the server was semi serious

+1 Due to the simple fact that any and all members of the clone army in lore had access to the Z-6 as a specialization therefor saying that the 91st doesn't get a "heavy" role is out right distasteful.

Ive already commented but this is incorrect.

If you google and look into this, you will find that they CAN specialize in being a Heavy Gunner. But if you look, The 91st had the following:

Quote

The 91st Recon Corps standard clone troopers of the corps had deep red markings and characteristic mark on their armor. Standard clone troopers made use of the phase I clone trooper armor, ARF trooper armor and later phase II clone trooper armor and phase II BARC trooper armor. Soldiers of the 91st Recon Corps were typically equipped with DC-15 blaster rifles and DC-15A blasters.

If I take key points from this, First of all, They are standard clone troopers:

There equipment is as follows:

Quote

Clone troopers were armed with the DC-15 blaster rifle and DC-15A blaster for long ranged combat, as well as blaster pistols for standard-ranged combat. They also wielded several types of grenades, including Electro Magnetic Pulse grenades and thermal detonators.

The 91st is a corps that troops specilized in RECON, Heres what the 91st troops went through:

Quote

Specialized clone troopers

To fill the demand of the different situations that occur during wartime, various clone troopers received extra or specialized training. The battles took place in many different environments during the Clone Wars and as such, the need for specialized gear also arose.

Biker Advanced Recon Commandos—Also known as BARC troopers, clone troopers equipped to use BARC speeders.

Advanced Recon Force Troopers—Also known as ARF troopers, were clone troopers who specialized in stealth, equipped with light armor, and trained to pilot the All Terrain Recon Transport.

Clone Medics—Clone troopers that served as medics.

Clone Scout Troopers—Clone troopers with light armor and trained in reconnaissance.

Clone Sharpshooters—Clone troopers trained to be snipers.

Now you're correct in saying all troopers can go through the futher training to get specialized in being a heavy but this is the following for a Heavy:

Quote

Heavy Gunners—Clone troopers equipped with stronger armor and Z-6 rotary blaster cannons.

They get specilized in for instance heavy on Kamino and then they get sent to a battalion for instance the 501st or something along those lines, they dont just happen to be able to pick up a z-6 when ever they please.

Update as I do not want to reply on here again:

EA has stated since BF1 that their Campaign is Canon, their Multiplayer is not. Developers have even stated that it should be treated as a Sandbox style Multiplayer, the event we make etc.

The heavy is a MULTIPLAYER UNLOCK SAME WITH THE SKIN. Slow walk speed, more damage from things explosive related. Does not sound like the 91st at all.

Its not distasteful, its the truth. We either follow lore or we dont, we cant mix and match.

Just pointing out since you wanna call in lore, canon, and such, but you do know that since Battlefront 2 from EA is now considered canon now that the things in it are too including the clone skins added and their classes.. and you can argue this point all day long but canon is canon unless stated otherwise by the company therefor the 91st do have a "reason" to have a heavy in their ranks.

@Dreams- literally told you that EA has stated their single-player IS CANNON and their multiplayer is NOT CANNON.

then wheres our sharpshooter theres a model for it in the game but no job. also heavy troopers in the 91st could be used as precautionary measures essentially hold the line while main force retreats should recon teams be spotted

I dunno why 91st would ever use a z6, such a heavy weapon is impractical for the mobile recon battalion. They ride BARC speeders so a Z6 would be completely impractical, a loud heavy weapon is not a recon weapon it's a defence and Attack weapon.

The most fuckable person on Synergy Star Wars RP~

-1 I agree with scribbles and Dreams, 91st doesn’t need a heavy trooper that’s why we didn’t make a model for it. The sharpshooter is used for snipers not heavy.

also @Suthdid you talk with XO+ before making this post

woah woah woah. I am currently in the 41st Elite Corps the main batt of 41st. Green Company is technically the Recon of the 41st while Elite Corps is like a form of Marines as one stated.  The 41st Elite Corps is an elite reconnaissance legion detached from the 9th assault corps under the command of CC-1004 Gree. The 41st are specialists in hostile terrain warfare, as well as Alien Translation and counter-insurgency. The elite branch of the 41st is known as Green Company is the recon unit. (This is taken directly from 41st Elite Corps Wookieepedia)

The 91sts name is the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps. Yes it may have recon in the name but it was not only a recon corps. One giant example of this is the siege of Ryloth, the 91st went in not to do recon (It was part of it) but to retake the planet. The 91st were usually the first sent to planets to establish a foothold and some of the last off as they helped keep the peace after. A heavy trooper is pretty basic infantry and I don't see why the 91st would not have basic infantry troopers. Just because were recon does not mean were 100% recon. It would be like saying only recon battalions can have ARF troopers. They are ADVANCED RECON FORCES but they are in almost every battalion. The reason is because every battalion needs recon forces no matter what. So why is the 91st restricted from having a heavy?
Also sharpshooters were removed because they were useless. ARF already had snipers.

+1 give it to us.

I'm pretty torn on this, a lot of the discussion is should a Recon Corps. get a Z-6 when the 41st and Rancor both have a mix of the Mini-Gun and Z6.  Well, let's particularly look into the lore and such of the differences, Rancor there ain't much going on with it, but what about the 41st?  Despite being considered a Recon Battalion, they were titled the 41st Elite Corps. or the 9th Assault Corps. in other aspects of lore which conflict with one another.  As simple as it may seem, I never really considered 41st a Recon Bat, more like an attack despite having Scouts & Green Company (Which by definition would merely be a small number of clones in the grand scheme of things)

Ultimately, I think the differences is what make Battalions or Corps. better.  Why would you want to be like everyone else when you can get something different?

With regards to those who always say that the server doesn't properly follow Lore, yeah that's true, but it would be boring as shit if it did! Also we should try to follow it as best as possible to give a great CWRP experience to those that really want to experience it on GMOD.

However, I think the primary argument most people have fails to address a relevant reason as to why the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps. should have a Z-6, without my bias towards my Jedi Battalion.
