  1. I've seen the updates. I appreciate them. My original vote stands. I still don't think this is quite enough, and I wish to have seen them originally. I'd say maybe one day, but not today. Next time maybe construct the application even a week or more before applying. Really take time and think it through, talk with your peers, and look back at successful applications in the past, and compare them with unsuccessful applications. These steps will help you tremendously. Please don't take this as discouragement. You may still move on, and even if you don't, this is always good practice, and will increase your likelihood of success next time.
  2. +1 Excellent! Thank you for addressing these questions directly. I believe you are a fantastic fit for this position, especially seeing your willingness to take on every problem head on with a fresh attitude.
  3. 2/4/3 Between the one punch immortal zombie, the far too high health, and the spawning in bunks, this sure wasn't the greatest. That's alright though. This is how we get better.
  4. -1 This application is rather short. You fail to detail much experience, and you fail to detail any specific plans. "Rocking the boat" isn't what CG needs. CG has a lot of strengths, but has some real problems that I don't even see addressed here. What CG needs is not someone who's going to just change things to change them, but who's going to be precise like a surgeon to identify and handle the problems that exist, as rough or at gently as they must be handled. I see you often. You're active, you're intelligent, and you're capable of better. I'd love to see you come back with more thought and effort put into the application as well as your actual plans as BCMD. For now it's a no from me.
  5. You are a very dedicated, active member of CG. I see you on all the time, and you are a shining example of how CG should be. That being said, I notice some problems I see in a lot of apps. You're fairly vague. You diagnose several problems, but you're fairly vague on the actual solutions. I have some questions: - How do you plan on fixing public relations specifically? - Are you willing to hurt the activity of your battalion to instill the seriousness that you claim you will instill? Rather, are you willing to remove those CG who do not follow your high standard at the expense of NCO/Officer activity? - How do you plan on getting Diplomatic Services to be more utilized? - Did you inform your battalion/officer corps of this application, and do you have their support?
  6. Thank you for the response. For now, -1 I truly don't mean this to be discouraging. I don't doubt your dedication, and I TRULY would love to see you back on this forum in 3 months. I believe your application is lacking, and didn't have much thought put into it. I'd sit here and ask all of your specific plans for the battalion, but I shouldn't have to. The whole application, while worded well, contains no detail. You don't list any specific experience or plans for the battalion. When considering a new BCMD, I'd like to see more meat on the bones. Your experience is also very sparce. The fact that you had to get waived tells me that you haven't been a CPT+ for a month yet, and your experience section is rather lacking. I'd encourage you to wait another 3 months, study other successful and unsuccessful applications, and spend a lot of time writing down what specifically you have done, and what specifically you will do. I don't believe it's your time now, but I believe you have a time, and I believe it is soon.
  7. +1 This is a very well-founded application, and I see you online frequently. You are fun, respectful, and you make an excellent case as to why you should be BCMD.
  8. This is a pretty good, but I feel vague application. I feel you fail to go into many specifics about experience and your plans, however, I will say that Rancor is at an excellent spot right now. I think that people coming in and changing something that's working is what's often the problem that causes them to fail. I got the implication that you would try to keep things going the way they are now, despite it not being directly said. My only complaint would be that you seem to be lacking any specifics, and it comes down to a lot of circular speech that revolves around 'I've been here a long time and I've worked hard', failing to really sell your experience outside of having been Commander Trauma. I don't doubt your skills or your dedication, but I wish there could have been more detailed expansion. Before I vote, I'd like to ask: Did you inform your battalion, or at least the officer corps, that you were going to apply, and do you have their support?
  9. +1 That main server event is fricking brilliant
  10. 4/5/3 Good, fantastic even. Not the best I've ever seen, but very good.

  13. -1 I want to try to be constructive and not rude... But dude, I don't even feel like you tried. Your application lacks any enthusiasm. I don't walk away feeling like you actually want this. You haven't even put in the effort to fix your grammar or spelling mistakes. The forums shows you misspellings with a red, squiggly underline. All you have to do is right click them. I realize this isn't a college English class, but if you can't put the effort into the application I don't see how you'll put any effort into the events. Your event documents lack just as much enthusiasm. In your application you stated directly that you made these on the fly. They've got no effort, consideration, or love put into them. The only difference between these events, and a post-it-note that has "shoot-em-up x2" written on it, is the event jobs that have no real purpose other than being killed at the end. You can do better. These mistakes are all fixable, but this isn't a good first impression. I'd love to see you go through and fix your application mistakes, take some real time and effort to design 2 events, and resubmit the application.
  14. +1 You only gain experience by gaining experience!

  16. 5/5/5 Engaging, intense and unique. Absolutely flawless. THAT'S how encounters should be done.
  17. Hey there! I'm Greg. Not that it was really a secret... I gotta be honest, the reason I came back under a new account was two fold. A. I was ashamed of how I left. I left after being kind of a dick. I was rude to people, and I was highly and unfairly critical of Synergy and it's high staff. They didn't deserve it, and I would like to extend my personal apology to the people I was rude to, staff or not. I've since had a year and a half to grow, I left originally because I was neglecting my GF for the game, and I realized she was far more important to me. We since broke up. B. I lost access to this account... Shortly. I lost access to this account. I lost the password, or it was changed, and I couldn't log on. I recently got it back after going back and forth with steam, but when I realized I had lost it, my first thought was about Synergy. Part of me was sad, but I came to the realization that I could swap to a new account and hopefully run from the mistakes I made before I left, but really that would get me nowhere. Also having just broken up with my girlfriend, I thought it was the best possible time to come back to the server I do truly love. I've been playing actively again, I've made it to NCO in Navy, and I want to get back into it all the way. It wasn't worth trying to conceal it anymore. Some changes Before I left, I thought I believed myself to be transgender, and had requested to go my female pronouns and by my name Chloe, or Lovestruck. I've since then come to the realization of... That's not who I am. I've since then given my life to God, and outside of the church activities I do throughout the week, and my studies of theology, I have an over-abundance of free time. I'm back for real baby B) Again, I'm sorry for having been a dick when I left. I do genuinely feel shame for taking a swing at Synergy while it was down. I hope to reach even greater heights than I did before, and I truly hope to help Synergy more than I ever could have before. I will be changing my name from Lovestruck to Greg permanently. Not out of shame from the past, but because it's the name I've been using recently, and it has a nice ring to it.
