  1. 9/10 Loved it, don't have any Complaints. And Unfourtantly, not much else to add. I would like those pictures though.

    Fix Jetpacks

RP Rank: CSM Suggestion: Either get a New Jetpack, or let Tacts be outside base Implementation: Title says most of it, I'm tired of not being able to go five feet above ground and dying because of it. If it's in a Place that makes sense, and it's not going to get you spawn killed, it shouldn't be an issue. What is an issue, is not being able to do your Job, because you're nutered by Lag. Lore: They fly, and have been able to for a while Workshop content if applicable: N/A
  3. 7/10 Before I start, I'd like to point out that I am not a big fan of Infection Rp, however, the reason why, was most of this Event. As a Retired Medic, I can tell you first hand, Quartine Protocol is extremely frustrating. Given that I instantly put the Medbay on Lockdown,I didn't see a lot of Action. I did however, enjoy the Adverts with the Symptoms. Despite the Medical Rp being my least favorite type, It was an intresting take on it that was appreciated.
  4. 8/10 Sith Troopers are a very underused NPC that's good to see become more frequent. The Sith Combat was intresting, and, it's good to Cater to both Troopers and Jedi. I do agree with Kronos, that it'd be great to have more Story aspect, although, Story vs Shootemup is an age old Argument when it comes to Events. Good Event.
  5. 7/10 It wasn't what I expected, and, it was difficult to respond to overall, as we were killing Notwookies, but Gmod isn't the easiest when it comes to Originality, especially with NPCs. I'd probably rate it better, if I didn't hate Infection Rp, but just because it isn't my Cup of tea doesn't make it bad. Despite the NPC issue, as well as the overall Bizzare event, it was still pretty Enjoyable. Granted, I didn't get to see as much when I went to the Medbay to help secure it, It was still pretty intresting. It's hard to hate on an Event with this much Creativity. I do however, think that the Event would've done better without the Infection aspect.
  6. 8/10 Map wise, it didn't excactly work until we reached the Interior of the Base. While the Event itself was pretty good overall, however this Event had it's issues. Overall, Communication between Battalions was a general Bust. While I understand that every Battalion can't have it's moment to shine, from what I recall this was an All Bat Deployment. We were all mostly treated as Attack Battalion, instead of having any other Specalizations. This could've been fixed, by letting Troopers Jetpack, but, telling them to Engage slowly. If we didn't have Shaak Tii with us, Rancor wouldn't have been able to Engage with as much ease as we did, although not every Map works for everything. Internally, the Map worked like a Charm. Corners had Tensions, and the fight with the Sith felt amazing. Other than what I initially mentioned, I don't really have much to add. Good event, but not perfect.
  7. -1 As a Rocket Trooper, I would literally die countless times on Patrol. Why? Fall Damage, unexpected droid fire, friendly fire, and if my Rocket was a little too close, I'd be fried. You bring up some great points, however for this to work, most of what we have come to know, working in a particular way, wont. Friendly Fire goes up like hell, as a lot of the Weapons we use, will either melt another Player. Weapons will either have to be Nerfed, or Contacts are going to get a lot more numbers [Which honestly, isn't that lore Inaccurate]. Not to mention, this could lead to some Weaponry, being Nerfed, before we get the Buff we've been waiting for, Rockets. Now, this -1, is a very Biased -1, because something like this would affect practically everything I do. While Rancor are Recon, we're adaptable Recon, which is why our Standard ARC Trooper Job, and our other Jobs, have some key differences. Rocket Troopers are our Snipers, HVO work as our Front Liners, Med is pretty obvious, and ARC are with the Masses. Medics, will have even more of a hard time, because they have to, in some cases, do Six times the job. ARC Troopers, have a harder Job, because the Minigun has a really sensitive trigger finger. HVO, is a lot like Rocket Trooper, except until their Revamp, they're grounded Rocket Troopers. Rocket Troopers can likely deal the most damage, while taking the most frequent Damage. I think that this is a Good Suggestion, with a lot of thought, and care put into it. If this were to be implemented, I think it would have to be something that the Community wants, for it to be worth the effort. With Rumors flying around, about the Server becoming a lot less Laggy in the near future, this might be something that could be implemented, even if I personally, don't like a lot of the Cons it can and likely will bring.
  8. Well that's a Yikes, not sure how he got into Brig though
  9. 8/10 Missed a lot of it, but some Context that was apparently lost. The Civvie bolted from Shock, and I chased after him, ended up bringing him back, even surprised Fox with him. Brought him into the Brig for Interrogation, that was the last I saw of him. So, either the Trando got to him after, or the Gift wasn't as great. I am glad I didn't take up his offer on a Few Million for freedom.
  10. 9/10 Loved the Stealth aspect was amazing! My Favorite moment was waiting to break my cover until I had to, and defending the Safe Place! When I suddenly pulled out my Saber to deflect Blaster shots, I felt like something that would actually happen with a Jedi in that kind of situation! The Droids were a little Jank, but other than that, it was great!
  11. I think you misread, I said "If I didn't have my Tact" not that I didn't have one, I opted for the ten bucks ages ago, well worth it. I had to place it in a bit of a Cheeky spot from time to time, but, the checkpoints were for the most part, really good. Like I said, I wasn't trying to tear into you guys, and as a One man Army kind of Player, you guys did a good job keeping us back. As for the Fog Generator, and CIS Files download, I played a more Support/Cover fire role per usual, as fun as it can be to absolutely destroy Clankers with a Rocket, I tend to go for softening big groups. Given that it was a result of Player choice, and that I wasn't involved with the situation, it makes it a lot less jarring with context. I'm glad the feedback was well recivied, and i'm surprised you didn't test it. I'm not an expert in regards to Gmod, but I think the Fog was impressive overall. I look forward to seeing more events from you!
  12. 8/10 Now, some might be wondering why I'm being such a Prick and not slapping a 10/10 on this Great Deployment, well, that's because it's a Great Deployment, not a perfect deployment. I don't think that the GM's ask for Criticism to be given 10/10's, nor do I think that every event can or even should be expected to knock it out of the park. Now, in a lot of regards, this Event did knock it out of the park, but as great as it was, there's still improvement to be made, and that I look forward to seeing. Personally, I wish I could rate more AARs, like I have before, and how I will be with this one, but I just dont feel as strongly with every event as I have with this one, and some Events Prior. Now, let's get started, Deployment Time ______________ While I understand that Timezones are a Bitch to deal with, especially around the Holidays, the Server has had a pretty decent Pop since morning. As much of a Meme it is, to call people inactive for not showing up for a Deployment at Midnight, a lot of people would've loved to have seen this Event. If I hadn't just been about to get ready to go to Bed, I wouldn't have noticed the Ping, and I would've missed a great Deployment, like a lot of people did; While they Deployment did end up working well with the numbers, this is something that ended up working in our favor, because we couldn't just throw numbers at the Opposition. We had to play Smarter, which prevents a Shoot em ups, from becoming Boring. Sidenote: The Portion above was written before I went to bed, and finished after I woke up. So, if there's a Disconnect , i'm sorry! Now, while this worked well in this case, but you should Bear timing in mind for future deployments. This is however, going off of American Time zones, and when you loaded back in after a couple DC's, you explained it was "Aussie internet", With it being a Break, it's a lot more flexible in regards to who can get on when, but unless a lot has changed with this Server in-between my Farewell, and my return, this Server has a good mix of EU and US Players. Maybe a Deployment around later morning would work better? Again, Time zones are a Bitch to handle, but it's a shame so many missed this one. Our Heads aren't a Spanner _____________________________ Now, for the most part this wasn't that much of an issue. and usually, especially during events, this is a BIG Issue. Considering this was an Assault on an FOB, It's not like it was too many Droids. Now, in a couple instances, I think I just ended up rushing at a Poor time, but in a few instances, way too many droids were spawned, Now, i've never been a GM on this Server, but I have on my Old Server, Event time is a tricky thing to get down and while you did get it down for the most part, I can't help feel like you felt like the Deployment was too short. In a Particular area, the small downhill Cavern, I cleared the left flank in a matter of minutes, our right flank and our push, felt like Thirty and if I didn't have my Tact I would've had to make ten trips. Now, this is coming from a Rocket Trooper, so, I was dealing about as much damage as I was getting hit with. After we finally made this massive push, Droids were spawn scattered in the forest, which decimated a bunch of passing troopers as well as yours truly. From what I understand, we had two main pushes going on, which could explain right flank being a lot more condensed. However, I feel like the left push got the short end of the stick on this one. You could've easily had Carvis focus on Spawning, which makes this more forgivable, but the point of this isn't to tear anyone a new one, but rather give some Constructive Criticism. Toxic Optic Illusions _____________________ Going in, I expected to hate this Event, one of the first things I heard, was, "No Force leap, No Jetpacks", but I didn't make it to the Briefing. Now, using Force Leap and Jetpacks, were an option, but in a lot of cases, it was more of a Risk than a Reward. While the Map was big, it felt much bigger when you couldn't see much further than you could shoot, and in some cases you couldn't even see that far. While you could fly up, the Air was toxic, and if you weren't careful you'd hit the ground dead, or beside contacts. This made the Push feel more intense, moments in the Tunnel, and that moment on the Big bridge, felt like it was something that could've happened in the Series, while the clogged moments in the Hallway felt like a gritty look behind the scenes. This made Tunnels feel more open than the outside itself. This isn't something that I often see, and while it's difficult to pull off well, my only Complaint was that you turned it off at the last minute. While I understand that this could've been a roll with it moment in the event due to some behind the scenes I just dont know about, it was still Jarring to suddenly lose that fog. Not only was it something that set it apart from most events, at least that i've seen, it made it difficult. Once the fog went away, so did the difficultly. It's one of those tings that could easily just be subjective. However, it's one of my few gripes with an overall, Great deployment. Wrapping up _______________ It's not always easy to give constructive criticism, and while not as difficult as being a GM, it's still important, like GM's. Like I said before, I can't spend all day working on AAR's off and on, and I feel like if I did, it wouldn't be good AAR's. Thank you, for the Deployment, for your time and effort, and thank you to all of the GM's and GH's of the Server. I understand that it can be frustrating, to put in so much effort with Events, for AAR's to get one Liner reviews. As hard as it can be sometimes, try not to take it personally. Not everyone likes to go indepth with AAR;s. For some, a One Liner is all they need to show their appreciation, and, they shouldn't be ignored. I apologize for any typos when it comes to this one, I'm using a new Keyboard, and I've been working on this one off and on, for about 12 hours or so. I hope this helps.
  13. Cant imagine what you got for Kwanzaa, 07
  14. Honestly, the amount of times I've had some Dickhead come into one of my SWRP Gmod Server Discords, just say that, or that Gmod itself is dying, is funny in itself. I feel like people should have something better to do, than try to shit on other people's fun. I've been on Servers that couldn't dream of a Pop Synergy has, my first Server being one of them. LN wouldn't have kicked the Bucket so quickly, if the Owner wasn't such a POS about Criticism. But when LN died, a lot of us made the Journey to Synergy. Synergy, isn't dying, the Staff cares, the Players Care, and when the time comes, when Synergy reaches the end of it's Era, a New Server will likely be made, or an Old one will be given new Life. While SWRP servers can't last forever, it doesn't mean anyone has to pretend to be the Doomsayer from Lumbridge. Because at this rate, it's less about Aron, and more about the Bigger Picture. People are likely worried that it was more of a Matter of Censorship than Toxicity. I haven't met the guy, but if he's a Prick, he's a Prick. However, sometimes that's just the way people are. A Buddy of mine, a Fellow CO on another Server, can be a complete prick if you push the wrong buttons on the Wrong day, the difference being that he knows that there's a time and a place. Given the Rep the person who Perma'd him has, it was likely intended to be as Non biased as possible. With how many +1's this has, it might get accepted, but I think Marvel is in the right with this one Appeals come off to me, as a Second chance, rather than a Second, third, fourth, and fifth chance. The guy seems to have a Track record for being this way. Edit: Thanks for the Winner Marvel. also holy shit this edit reeks of Reddit
  15. I got a New Keyboard and Mouse, some Assorted Junk food, Clothes, Gloves [Thank god], and best of all A Dog, her name is Jane
  16. Before I give my Vote , i'd like to point out that, the Context of what happened, is something that I don't have much besides what Ron, and Aron have stated. While they've done a great Job at giving context to the situation, to those that don't have it. So, take this +1 with a Grain of Salt, but that's pretty much all that needs it about this Post. From my Understanding, Aron made a Farewell Post, while tearing the Server a new one in the process, Never seen that before. Personally, I did the same thing, but, my Post wasn't to cause any Drama, or MASS HYSTERIA on the Server. My Post was intended to spread awareness, and share Opinions that I made sure wasn't just my own. The Server has it's Issues, I don't know a Server that doesn't, however the way to getting Beaned is paved with Good intentions. My Post didn't have a big Back and forth, his, had a lot. Now, my experience with Sanchez has been limited, but, from my Perspective, he's a Good guy that types like he's Pissed off, like a lot of people. When you have a Back and Forth on a Thread, it's easy to get heated, this goes for Both parties. Now, if he had been Banned by Sanchez, then It'd be a lot different, but he wasn't. Looking through, I don't see a lot of people who seem to be opposed to him being Banned, rather, being Perma Banned, something that a lot of people feel are too Severe. Perma Bans typically happen to Minges, people who give the Server nothing but Hell, something that Aron doesn't really come off as. While it can be easy to have an Eye for an Eye mentality, both parties aren't going to get Banned, and as per usual, there's likely a lot of context behind the Big Red Curtain. The Staff are just trying to do their Job, it's a Stressful one, and they likely already get enough Hell for doing what they need to do. If the Person had been Toxic for months, upon months, and he's been causing all this Drama within the Community, then so be it. However, whether you do, or don't accept his Appeal, take the feelings of the Community you're trying to Protect, into Consideration. As hard as it can be, you've got to be Biased to the Server, and the Rules in a lot of regards for this kind of stuff, and the Staff seems to do pretty good in that Regard. But, to say that you guys didn't have to make hard Choices, would be a Insult to the Job itself.
  17. +1 I've been Piloting LFS for a long, long time, and while it's a bit strange to get used to, LFS is my Bread and Butter. I'd love to be able to fly a Delta 7, and the LAATs, while a little chuggy, are pretty easy to get a handle on
  18. The Title speaks for itself Got my Answer ingame
  19. Oh that's a Yikes XD, appreciate the info
  20. Maturity comes from Experience and Time. I understand that you have good intent, and that being Staff is something you've likely aspired for, for a while now. But, as important as Staff can be, it's a job that not only requires a lot of time, effort, and energy, but as fulfilling as it can be, it's often underappreciated. While I can't say much about this Server personally, in general, a lot happens in Servers, behind the Big Red Curtain. Now, i'm not saying that Synergy has Scandals among Staff, but, a big reason why a lot of Servers have Staff Age Locked, Maturity locked, and require Apps, is because it's something that could break the experience for a lot of people. You seem like a Good Kid, whether you do, or don't make the cut isn't up to me at all. But, if you don't, don't let it prevent you from enjoying the Server as you clearly do.
  21. How can I update my Rank? I am not a Private, i'm a 1sgt
  22. +1 As a former HVOL, I wish you the best. I had hoped to revamp it, and have it work as a Vehicle Aspect to Rancor. While it might not be Lore friendly, not everything needs to be, especially an aspect of Rancor that isn't even a part of Lore. At this point, Rancor has become the Boomer Battalion, a lot of it's members are people who either have a lot of experience with SWRP, or want to. This is why, when people say that we need to be Nerfed, it can be frustrating, because the people in Rancor have worked hard to get where they are, and get further. As for the complaints about a Model Change, the people who are complaining about a HVO Model Change, haven't seen the HVO Model for Rancor. The Model doesn't even look like it's Phase 1, it looks like Phase 1 Armor, is a Decedent of HVO Armor. I'm not sure if the Model is from an Older Era of SWRP, but it looks like we got Scammed by a bunch of Jawa's. As for the More RP Focused aspect of it, I'm intrigued. HVO is extremely Gameplay focused where it is currently. Currently, ENG is one of the few certs we either, don't have an In for [This is from Old, likely Outdated knowledge, so take with a grain of salt], and it's a Gateway Cert. Congrats on HVOL, personally, HVO has left a pretty bad taste in my Mouth, so while I likely wont be able to see the changes firsthand, it's good to see HVO Changes. Also, to the person who asked, we've been trying to get HVO fixed, since Merril was Blitz, one of the Commanders [Oddshot] was trying to revamp HVO with me, Sixta has already +1'd, and Havoc, I haven't meant personally.
  23. I'll keep an eye on SR, I need an Off time Server
  24. I wasn't quite sure where to put this, as it's a Mix of the two, thank you
  25. Name: Rancor 1SGT HVOL Dubz [Reserves] RP Rank: 1SGT Suggestion: Disclaimer: The point of this post, isn’t to spread hate, the point of this post is to spread awareness, and with how things are currently going, say Goodbye. When I started playing SWRP back in August, I had about fifty hours on Gmod, which mostly consisted of occasionally getting the urge to play Prop hunt. With the Summer ending, I had just finished going through the worst Summer I had ever experienced, and likely will experience. Within a couple months, I lost most of what I owned, my Home, contact with a lot of people I considered Family, and more. I grew up using Gaming to help with Stress, but even that wasn’t helping. Out of Boredom, and a little bit of Curiosity, I decided to tryout SWRP for the first time, and after some of the worst months of my Life, I proceeded to have some of the best in more Recent years. My Player time went from 50, to a few Hundred. LN Was my First SWRP Server, and it’s something that I’ll never forget despite where it Lacked in some Areas from time to time. But, when LN Died due to poor choices from the Owner, Synergy opened its Doors for a lot of us, Particularly Rancor. My Time on LN had helped turn me from a Noob to an experienced Player, but my time on SR, is what pushed me past the line from Dedicated to Experienced. However, the Warm Welcome I received, quickly started to feel Colder as time went on. While I love how the Events are handled on SR, Deployments for Rancor quickly became a Rarity. During my time as Rancor, I was a part of Two Deployments, and while my Schedule is often extremely flexible, at times it felt like Rancor was being skipped, sometimes it felt like we were given a Deployment on our off time just to say that we had one. While I was never a Full GM, I did work hard to become one on LN, not to mention I was pretty close to the Head GM team on LN. I understand that it takes a lot of time and effort to make an Event, and that nobody can make every Event a Banger, which is why I have a lot of respect and thanks to the people who make Events. However, the GM system, like other aspects of the Server, just isn’t accessible. I could hear Defeat in my GM friends from LN, when they realized that you need to be Staff to be a GM, they left within Days. Not taking Constructive Criticism was a Norm for a lot of the Higherups on LN, especially the Owner, so while that was a sight for sore eyes, when you’re getting spammed with requests for Constrictive Criticism, it’s easy to not even want to give your thoughts. However, something like that, is a mild annoyance, what happens to Rancor Constantly is often Infuriating. A Big part of why I joined Rancor, was to improve myself, a lot of the people I respect the most on LN would constantly tell stories of their Era of Rancor on PG, their Previous Home. However, despite everything Rancor does to help, it’s hard not to feel like we’re being met with Resistance whenever we do. It’s even Harder not to feel like Rancor doesn’t constantly have a Hand around it’s Throat on our every attempt. While this was hard to ignore as your standard Rag tag Trooper, once I took over in the HVO Revision, it was as easy to ignore as someone spitting in your face. With Rancor working best at being Multifaceted, we needed a Vehicle Aspect to the Bat, but every attempt to do so felt like climbing out of Quicksand. After finally getting Piloted Certed after a week of trying, the Pilot Roster was wiped, we nearly had a Pilot Lead, but had to wait longer due to Pilot L’s “Taking Priority”. Now Pilot Cert required another Cert, one we had no Contact for. Trying to get anywhere with Staff [Used in a General term], felt like a Hand gripping my Throat, and once the Update Rancor had been waiting on came out, the Grip became too much. The Buff we had been waiting on, got a mention, and thankfully, our Rocket Troopers didn’t lose their Rockets. As much as we like to Joke about it, Rancor isn’t too Overpowered, but it’s a Joke that some take too literal. People play SWRP to have fun, but a lot of people join Rancor to become better Troopers. I’m not one to Complain, but with the Server at its current state, and the way it handles Rancor, I just can’t enjoy it. The Standard Trooper doesn’t even have a Sniper, despite being an ARF. Rocket Troopers not having Rockets, was a very real possibility. Rancor does what it can to be the best it can be, however we’re never a Dick about it. While each Bat has its own goals and talents, Rancor is simply be Multifaceted. The ARF that can hop out of a TX, into a LAAT, and Paratroop behind Enemy lines, is someone dedicated enough to learn how to do those very things. At this rate, it just feels like my Growth on SR is Stunted, and with how things are handled, it’s too difficult to enjoy playing SR to have the mod packs installed. My Original intent was to retire from the Server completely, but I’m on the Reserves just incase the Server changes for the better. But, at this rate, it’s hard not to feel like I won’t be coming back. I miss making jokes with Mav while firing rockets at CIS Hoards. I miss seeing the 187th run around, being the 187th. I even miss getting yelled out by an Old Lady for Swearing over Comms. I miss a lot of things about Synergy, but I can’t enjoy Synergy the way it is. I know that my feelings over this matter is mutual to some in Rancor, but I don’t know if it’s Mutual to everyone. For all I know, this is something that is completely unintentional, so I figured it’d be better to say something rather than sit on these feelings and keep quiet. Whether this is, or isn’t the case, I wish you all the best, but at this rate, I think it’s best I say Goodbye.
