  5. 4/4 for all categories Reasoning: All issues were due to players. Players were given the option to not include certain weapons in allowed loadouts, other rules were left up to the players. Qal constantly made adjustments to keep things balanced base on what he had seen.
  6. Name: Merrill Who helped (If applicable): Teaa, JP, Guttler AND HURRICANE (I'm sorry I forgot) Summary of the story: Day 2 of their stay at Col Tarmac's outpost provides new tasks for the troopers of the 212th. Old sensors may be used to further the defend their base from the strange threat they face, as a faint comm's signal is detected nearby. What was the result of the event?: While one trooper died to a cave-in, two young villagers were saved. Additionally, a weird connection between a damaged Red Kyber crystal and a droid points the troops in the right direction of identifying the threat. Was this more of a role play oriented or "shoot em up" oriented event: Mixed Story: - (The storyline of the event) Execution: - (Flow/Timing) Game Mechanics - (Spawning/map utilization/Ej’s) Overall: [Rating] - [Reason] Story: [Rating] - [Reason] Execution: [Rating] - [Reason] Game Mechanics: [Rating] - [Reason]
  7. +1 Support Good talks about GM ideas and plans, seems to have quite the brain on his noggin for events.
  8. Agh my heart. So many memories in those pictures xD
  9. Planning - 1/4: The original planned portion of the event lasted about 10 minutes, which resulted in a lot of standing around as we waiting for things to happen in the story. It felt like an encounter on the event server, to be honest. Story - 2/4: Generic Cartel working on a superweapon that frankly doesn't make sense to be in Trandoshan Cartel hands. Execution - Honestly don't know what to give this. Lots of standing around, rules were too broad which resulted in drastic rule changes later on, no atmosphere or environment was set up for this event other than a few barricades here and there and the DB area.
  10. Name: Merrill Helpers: Baron, Ectetera Summary: Outpost Gamma-24, a 5 month old monitoring station on an old mining world, is requesting assistance after geological catastrophe. The 212th posted there are small in number, more so than normal thanks to recent events and unknown attackers. Outcome: After fixing up the numerous issues of the outpost, and surviving the intense night, 212th earned some rest before the duties that they are to be given the following day. Type: Mixed Rate out of 4 based on story, execution, planning, and pacing.
  11. +1 Good talks about Events and GM team, would make good addition to the GM team
  12. +1 All Jokes aside, this is who 212th needs as next Cody. Activity, intelligence, ability, personality, it is all there. If he SOMEHOW does not get Cody, somebody done fucked up, cause there is no better candidate
  13. *Rubs hands* *Deep Breath* BOI
  14. +1 Lego Weapons would actually be worth the ridiculous prices of the perma weapon store
  15. Aight, I am gonna slap this with a 4/4, for some reasons I am gonna list below. First of all, this six hour event was done by THREE GM/GHs. THREE. Thats it. They were given basically one night to prepare, with really no other support due to IRL issues popping up with the others who were going to help. For the manpower they had and the toxicity that is forever present somewhere in the playerbase, they did fantastic. Secondly, the atmosphere of just teeth-clenching tension was present everywhere. As an Alpha, the Anaxes portion saw me regrouping with Null, attempting to get as many Jedi to safety as we could. As for the defense on Kamino, 212th and SOBDE had joined up in one channel, and while we were joking around, there was still a bit of tension bleeding through the jokes and strategy we were discussing. To be honest, while some people were saying there was no stress from the defense side, the way everyone would panic or get super serious any time one of the attackers got even remotely close to our section begs to differ. For us, everything was was either tense quiet or loud stress, as we had the chance to change probably the saddest moment in the Star Wars cinematic universe, even if it was only an event. Finally, the chaos. While many people like events to super organized and smooth, lets be perfectly honest: When was the Clone Wars ever smooth? Every battle sees clones dying in droves, sometimes in really brutal ways. This event felt exactly how it should: chaotic. Now, to address a couple of the complaints that I completely disagree with. LORE: Bruh, if lore is gonna be your biggest problem, none of you besides 501st should have stormed the temple, and half of the battalions and sub units on the server wouldn't exist, either cause they aren't lore or they wouldn't be stuck in this base. UNFAIR KAMINO: Aight, first of all, how in the fresh hell do you expect them to test this shit in advance? They don't know what we as players are capable of. Considering how 41st, DU, and 212th were put onto the defending side since we literally only had the lore characters, some of SOBDE, and some of the Alphas, there isn't much the GMs could do to monitor the player numbers, since people in the same battalions were on opposite sides of the battle. I am not even gonna talk about the people who had to be kicked because of rule breaking, because that is a whole other bowl of shit pudding. In terms of strategy, of course attackers had a hard time breaching the the final cache, our entire team was there and no attackers were using the flank route to get behind us. Even with cloakers on your side, RC gunned them down purely because they tried to walk right in as if we didn't have people who could see cloak. No one was guaranteed to win this event, which seems to be the problem for some. Some people thought they would win purely because it is lore that the Clone Rebellion gets wiped out on Kamino. Sorry to burst that bubble, but the fact you were expecting to win might just be why you lost. Finally, I do want to give credit to the saints on Attackers, who have to deal with being lumped in with the Salty batch just because they were attackers. Some of y'all get everything salt free, dropped GGs after the event, didn't complain once. Those of you who are one of those saints, I salute you. You are the people that the GMs try to make their best events for. As for some others, who's toxicity ranges off the charts, y'all wonder why you don't get interesting or new styles of deployments that haven't been tested? Just being brutally honest.
  16. +1 I love me some new props to add to the story of events
  17. If the situation Tea describes involved you and your friend and not the other group that we seemed to confuse you with, sounds like the situation was handled as it should have been.
  18. Adjusted, thanks for notifying me.
  19. Name: Merrill RP Rank: 1stLT Suggestion: One thing I have noted while making my environment dupe pack to speed up GMs designing their battlefield, is that we have like 1 tree and the same 8 cliff rocks for large decoration of the outdoors. Sure, we have the occasional fungus or alien spore thingy, but most of those are so minuscule that they have no real affect on the troops fighting around them. I have noticed that there is more than one tree in Half Life 2, and we have far more props available on the server, but some are simply not whitelisted. Essentially, I'm asking for trees, bushes, rocks, something so that we can fill up our events with nature instead of the constant "Site of a battle so fierce that there is no foliage ANYWHERE" settings. Implementation: Either going through base Gmod to ensure that all nature props are whitelisted, since some are only seen when you search for a prop in the prop menu and are not seen within the base folders, or to add in a prop pack or two that focuses purely on nature and environment. Some Possible Packs to choose from have been linked below. Some of these packs may require owner Permission, while others are simply to fix or include missing props from base Half Life 2. Lore: Trees and Rocks exist. 20. Name: Merrill Helpers: Newt Summary: A squad of Commando Droids are deployed to Anaxes for 3 things: Intel, Assassination, and Sabotage. Once their mission is complete, they will return the data to their outpost for extraction. It is up to the Republic to catch them in the act before things go south. Outcome: Commandos planted explosives in the main portion of the base, and were able to sneak up to the BCC successfully. However, due to a few players breaking some rules, the droids were found out before they could take hostages, and had to suffice with stealing data the hard way, literally. The Republic eventually caught on to the plans of the CIS, and were able to recapture the data. Type: Mixed
  21. Just had to check, it was still the 1st for us
  22. Just for clarification, this is not an April Fool's prank, is it? Cause me and the boys just realized it was still April 1st. I just wanna double check
  23. Aight, so I am gonna say this now. Seeing this, fucking hurt. Cause I know how good of a dude you can be Scribbles. As a staff member, as Foxtrot, as a BH, you went out of your way to set an example. Then this? Look, man, I know you are better than this, but there have to be consequences. Some time away from the server might be a good way to think about the impact of everything. -1 towards a full appeal, but perhaps a +1 to a future shortening of ban, but there must be consequences. Also, is this a Gmod ban or both Gmod and TS? Just cause TS isn't really a problem, all his problems have been in GMod
