  5. Did not expect this to be honest. Thank you for your service, and everything that you did for CG even though you've only been here a couple months. Hope to see you again. o7

  7. Steam Name: Kubert RP Name: Diplomatic Services Commander Thorn RP Rank: Commander Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:93546116 Battalion or squad you are applying for: BCMD Fox Experience: Doom's Unit (MSG, MEDO) I started off my time on the server almost exactly 3 years ago in Doom's Unit. I made my way up to Master Sergeant and was Medical Officer, but to be fair, there were only 2 people in medic at the time. Doom's Unit taught me the importance of working together with other members of the battalion and also comradery. My brief month or two in DU ended, when I passed CG tryouts. Coruscant Guard - 1st Time (2ndLT) My first time in CG was spent under Panzer as BCMD. I rose through the ranks up to 2nd Lieutenant and was taught CG duties and regulations from people whom I still respect and admire today such as UneJamMut and Ratio. I was taught the importance of discipline and professionalism and was shown how a CG trooper should behave. Unfortunately, I had to resign due to family issues but I was told that I could come back as a Sergeant. Coruscant Guard - 2nd Time (CPT, ITDD, ITD, HVYO, Notable Member) I just couldn't stay away from CG for long. As soon as I had my IRL issues sorted, I immediately came right back. And this time I was here to stay. I dedicated a majority of my time to helping out in the battalion, a lot of it being behind the scenes, such as the Intel Team and document work. I joined the Intel Team and started helping out with logging stuff and making sure everything was kept up to date and running smoothly. After a couple months, I applied to the position of Intel Deputy Director and got the position that was usually meant for Officer+ as a Sergeant Major. From there, I quickly rose through the ranks due to my position. After spending my time under UneJamMut and Ratio as BCMDs, the current Intel Director, Slump, got the position and this allowed me to take the position of Intel Director. I quickly made my mark on the battalion, showing members how Intel work can be fun and productive at the same time. Once I got to the rank of Captain, I had to once again resign, however, due to the fact that I let Garry's Mod take priority over my real life and I needed to sort stuff out. Once I resigned, I received the distinction of Notable Member due to my work in Intel and my total dedication to the battalion overall. Coruscant Guard - 3rd Time (CMD, ITDD, ITD, VGL, Thorn, Notable Member) Once again, I realized that CG had become a part of me. I stayed away for too long and I began to long for that sense of a second family. People that shared my interests and I could talk with. I returned as a SGT and immediately got the position of Intel Deputy Director as it was currently open. Due to my known dedication, I got promoted faster this time, quickly making my way to Officer and even Senior Officer. I served under BCMDs such as Slump, Anderson, Holo and Centurion. Once Holo got BCMD, I once again became Intel Director and I even applied for Vanguard Lead as soon as the branch was created in order to revitalize the Riot and Heavy specializations. Once I got to Lieutenant Colonel, I immediately applied for Thorn, as it was always my main goal in CG to become Thorn. All the past people who were Thorn such as Ratio and Slump served as mentor figures to me, showing me a lot of the ways of CG and teaching me how to always be at my best. I continued helping to revitalize the Intel Team until a couple weeks after I got promoted to Commander, when I saw that it was in capable hands of Void, who was my ITDD at the time and resigned from the position and instead became Intel Overseer and Drill Overseer, handing off the Intel Director Position to Void. I currently serve as the Intel and Drill Overseer and one of the leads for our new specialization Diplomatic Services, making sure that we have active members, who are at the highest standard of the Coruscant Guard. I have been a Commander for almost 2 months now and I have learned so much about leadership, integrity and comradery and I believe that I am ready to move on to the next step. Why should you become a Battalion Commander?: I am skilled in a leadership position, having 3 years of experience in various fields as stated above. I am able to communicate clearly and effectively with the troopers in my battalion, and make sure that everyone understands what they are doing and that they are doing it at the highest standard. Anyone who's been in CG knows that the BCMD takes quite a lot of fire, however, I believe that I would be able to take the criticism and use it to help the battalion move in a beneficial direction. The previous BCMDs did an absolutely amazing job however, there is always room for improvement. In the first half of my term, I plan to focus on external affairs. I would bridge CG and other battalions by conducting joint trainings, doing patrols together and other joint operations, in order to show members of other battalions the people behind CG and that we're not just arrest happy robots. This would also help with recruitment as it would allow other people to see and consider CG as a battalion they would maybe like being in. This brings me to my plan for the second half of my term. I would focus on the internal maintenance of the battalion, making sure that it runs smoothly during my term as well as when I have to resign. Focusing on recruitment and high quality of troopers, I would ensure that tryouts are hosted at a high standard, and that CG as a whole is functioning the best it can. Do you understand the lore of your battalion or squad?: Secretly bred on Coruscant, instead of Kamino, the Coruscant Guard served as a police force, mainly on their home planet of Coruscant but were also frequently deployed into the field in diplomatic VIP escort missions, such as the missions on Rugosa with Grand Master Yoda and to Scipio with Senator Padmé Amidala. The Coruscant Guard was led by Battalion Commander Fox, who was considered one of the most loyal clones to Chancellor Palpatine. The Coruscant Guard replaced the Senate Guard and took on the roles of protecting Senators in the second half of the war. They ensured that peace and order was kept not just on Coruscant but on all Republic controlled planets. Availability:(All Times are in EST) Monday-Friday: 4pm - 9pm Saturday: Usually family time, but I am available between 4pm and 9pm if needed. Sunday: 4pm - 9pm Estimate of how long you've played on Synergy Roleplay?: Commander Thorn has played for 3355:50:13. (Almost 3 years now) Do you have a microphone?: Yes. Where do you want your battalion or squad to be at the end of your term?: I think the final goal for any BCMD should be self-sustainability of the battalion. To make sure that the battalion is able to run smoothly and efficiently, even when the BCMD is no longer there. One part of this is tryouts. Having regular and frequent tryouts, recruiting the best of the best into the battalion. Another part of this however, is making sure that those people that are recruited stay in the battalion and don't burn out. For this, regular activities need to be hosted to entertain the troopers. I would also make sure that other activities and functions of the battalion such as the Drill and Intel Team continue to function well past my term. Do you understand that if you go inactive that you will be removed from your position?: Yes, I do. Do you understand that your position has a three month term limit and you must reapply after three months to maintain your commander rank?: Yes, I do.
  8. 10/10 Literally the best even I have ever participated in. Honestly props to Snadvich for thinking of this.
