Name: Anderson Who helped: N/A Summary of Encounter: C.I.S Forces have somehow come up with a way to interfere with Republic AI and Sensory Equipment. Using this new strategy they used a diversion of a small Commando Recon Patrol to bring Republic Forces away from the base. As the main force attacked the base under the command of an Unknown C.I.S Super Tactical Droid. The Republic Forces pushed back the C.I.S Forces and saved the Fort from becoming over run. Yet, it is unknown how they managed to disable our AI defences and how they got pat our Sensory Equipment.

Damn we really be out here. The real question is: Has the Rust server wiped again??? But in all seriousness, I’ll be honest when I say I’m severely disappointed and quite frankly a little pissed off with you @Holo . With out a doubt you have your own opinions and you have a right to express them. But fuck me dead you’ve completely gone at this the wrong way. Furthermore, as a former Fox, setting up a bad image for CG entirely. In the topic of this... post, GMOD is like 13 year old game my guy. I’m not saying the server is dying because quite frankly it ain’t, it’s just boring from time to time when there is no events happening. Plus with everyone in lockdown I’m sure more players have been jumping on the server. Fuck some oldies like Andrews are back. However, like I said, GMOD is a very old game and while the server isn’t dying or dead not many new players will be hoping on GMOD. A lot of players will be recycled from other communities or from an older time of the server. That’s all. Shit when this community split from Icefuse, everyone thought Icefuse was gonna die and now it has 3+ servers with its CWRP hitting full captivity some days, as far as I’m aware. (which is 128 players) And if I’m being honest any further. Just fucking delete this post and save what little dignity you’ve left CG at this point. Imagine trying to build relations and actually change something for the better, just to have someone go on and cry about something completely out of his control. Using it to conduct experiments, work with Bounty Hunters and collect intelligence. The C.I.S was under the command of a Gotal Agent who, due to the failure of the Clones and Jedi (Laziness and not wanting to engage in RP apart from one individual), managed to escape imprisonment of the G.A.R. Losing valuable intel in the process that could have helped in a republic Victory on Anaxes.

Are you currently staff on a different server?: Nope Why did you leave the staff team?: At the time I believe I left due to there not being enough time for me to conduct my duties. At the time my Tutor at College left for a new job leaving my class and the first years of my course with no Tutor. Previously doing work for the College in the summer, therefore having my DBS check done AND having experience in doing the first year of the course, I was giving the opportunity to work for the College teaching the first years of the course. This led to me falling behind on my work as I was focusing on doing my Job right. Therefore, when we got a new Tutor to Replace myself. I had to catch up with all the College work I have fallen behind on. Leaving no Time to staff on the server. after re-reading this, I understand this story may seem like bullshit but it is the Gods Honest Truth. Why do you want to rejoin the staff team? (3 sentence minimum): With Coronavirus revenging the world I have nothing better to do then get addicted to GMOD again. This means I also have time to get back into Staff, with my main goal to rejoin the GM team and host more events. I hope these events will be to a decent level of quality. Focusing on RP and Story as well as including Shoot-them-up parts, giving something for everyone to enjoy as I know that not everyone likes RP and not everyone enjoys Shoot-them-ups. Basically, trying to appeal to everyone's needs and getting everyone involved in the event which is ambitious and difficult to do. But I do like a challenge. Furthermore, I just enjoy helping out as much as possible. Without imploring any disrespect, I always feel that the GM programme suffers a decent bit from criticism for not conducting enough events for the player-base to enjoy. Especially during the EU/EST times where the Servers population is lower and nothing really happens on the server. This leaves people bored. As an EU/EST player I would like to increase the amount of events or even Encounters during these times, to help keep the player-base entertained during this time. In Continuation, having an extra pair of hands when ever the server has a surge of Minges or Raiders from another community is very rarely a downfall. I aim to make myself less of a burden on the overall team, allowing members to continue their tasks without myself interfering with their business. Being independent is key to ensuring that server runs optimally for the enjoyment of the players. Lastly, though elements of staff team or how things are run may have changed. I am willing to learn any new techniques or producers, that may have been adapted during my absence from the server and staff team in general. How do you feel your previous time as a staff member went? (3 sentence minimum): Previously, as a Staff member I feel I was at a comfortable position of working with other GMs and EJs to conduct interesting Events that didn't go on for too long or that were too short. Though they were not perfect. I had my slip ups and some events turned into a mess. This was hard for me to deal with when I was new to the GM programme. However, with the help of other GMs and Staff members with experience I gained more confidence in my abilities to create and organise events. These Events ranged from Main Server to Event Server. I did not aspire to reach any higher than SA during my time in the staff team and therefore I completed my quotas, kept my head down and just got on with it. Which is the same approach I hope to take now. With Free time on my hands and my overall Health improving. CG have tried constantly to attempt their own RP on the server. Only expanding it with Palpatine. We attempted to approach CG as “the bad guys” being fanatical with their loyalty to Palpatine. Almost Warhammer 40k like. It was comical. We tried to set up Checkpoints when the base has recently been infiltrated. We’ve conducted fun bunk raids with 104th and attempted to have fun bunk inspections with the rest of the server. We’ve even raided the Village in some cases. We’ve attempted in character comms RP to allow for game masters to pick up on an interesting idea or story line. Shit we even have an RP channel where a few of us conducted a 3 month RP session carrying it over to in-game. Even though it is rare to have GMs pick up on that stuff it has happened. We’ve attempted to engage with other battalions in numerous ways both with RP and in general. We’ve tried to gain more favour with the community. As a fact when I was Fox it was on my to-do list to improve community relations, and it was on Holo’s and is currently on Centurion’s as well. During my term the community wanted CG to be more RP friendly with Arrests. So I worked with the Directors to enforce and RP designation for Arrests (RDM = Murder etc.) whether it’s being followed idk. I also tried to get my guys to give out more warnings and conduct more investigations into situations wherever possible. Sometimes this was hard to enforce as a majority of Arrests CG makes are AOS. why does this matter? Well, If you’ve ever been in CG then you know it is expected of you to arrest that person no matter what. CG have tried so much to improve their RP, but the server just doesn’t like it or don’t want to participate within it. Then do something that doesn’t involve other people? Kinda difficult when the purpose of the battalion is Policing which requires interaction with people to some degree. Even then our RP would get interrupted by something else happening in-game, like an AOS. Why not add a Sub-branch? I also tried that in my Term, but was told by a Director that the Sub-branch was “too similar to what CG do already”. It was Lore friendly as well. Allowing for someone to have a goal, a nice change in their designation and it would be Lore character focused. Which would also bring some life into CG, as it is something interesting, something new. I don’t want to do the whole “tHe SeRvEr HaTeS cG” but in all honesty it does feel like that sometimes. The reason we hardly RP with other battalions or do something else apart from RP with Palpy is because Palpy is usually the only person who will give CG the time or day. I’ve heard numerous amounts of players chat so much shit behind CGs back, yet never spending a single second with the guys in TS or even being apart of the Battalion. Im sorry I’m kind of off on a rant here @Comics it’s not directed at you whatsoever. Apologies for that. Just some pointers I have in my head as all.

Battalion: Coruscant Guard RP Name: Battalion Commander Fox Date: 07/02/2020 Reason: Yikes where to start. I don't want to get out the Violin and tell you all a sob story of my life. However, some personal issues related to my mental health has revealed itself over the past week or so and its just been getting harder and harder for me to get onto the server. With University around the corner and the sorry state I'm in, I feel as if I'm doing more hurt to the battalion than good. I don't feel that over the past couple of weeks I have personally been a very good BCMD therefore, I'm taking the mature approach and resigning before I cause any "damage" that may be unrecoverable for the battalion as a whole. Goodbyes: My only goodbye to my boys in Red. Although I'm leaving you guys I'm not leaving the server and I am available for anyone to chat with me if you want to/need to for whatever reason. I'm sorry I let you guys down, but sometimes instead of fighting to stay alive you just gotta accept your fate and move on. This is one of those instances.

Yes, that is what we promote within CG. However, my guys aren't perfect. No one is. However, I have more sympathy for them as they do deal with a bit more shit than the rest of the server does. I know that might seem "biased" however, it is the plain and simple truth of how CG operates and what they get in return from the community overall. Stress and a feeling of being unwanted. However, those who act childish are almost all the time punished severely within the battalion with Demotions and rarely promoted back to their rank until they proved themselves via changing their ways, helping out the battalion more with Intel etc. or until CG Comamnd feels they have proven themselves. The only acception that is RARELY made is if the specific trooper in question has been continuously harassed by specific a group or individual and they finally snap (yes this does and has happened in the past). If you have any more questions I'm more than happy to answer them.

@ Ron As the current BCMD of CG I appreciate the criticism given, though I wish some other people on the sever could be just as forward as yourself. I understand the issues in CG and the stigma it usually has, like any security battalion. However, during my term I have been Trying to change it. I for one agree with the change (Obviously). I'm sorry to read that you believe that CG is some sort of "Bully" on the server. However, some aspects of your statement I must say I disagree with. One of your biggest complaints is obviously the whole "CG deal with OOC matters" which I understand. I'm currently working with Forseen to try and Iron that stuff out. psychical acts of RDM (Murder), Trespassing, Insubordination and Disrespect should be handled by CG. FailRP is honestly debatable and it could be summarised in-character by stating that a Trooper is "Defective" or a Jedi/Naval/Senator is having a "psychotic breakdown." Anything else in OOC or what have if frankly staff's issue. But some people don't realise that all this OOC stuff is offloaded to CG. We didn't ask to have it, we've been given the responsibility. Furthermore, sometimes when players see a break within the server rules their first instinct is to call for CG. At that point we have a obligation to go and investigate, sometime all the evidence is presented to us and we make an arrest quickly. Not because of some power complex, but to ensure that players are no longer disrupted by someone's possible malicious intentions. Which brings me to my second point. For every arrest, unless its outstanding, usually is accompanied with communication within our TS Channel. Sometimes people forget the rules or are unsure about the specifics of certain rules. It is here where we discuss if it is a valid arrest or not. I understand that some people are "baton happy" looking for any reason to arrest someone. I can only apologise for that small group of individuals and more times than not, people who are "baton happy" are punished for their actions. Furthermore, I would like to address the stigma around baton happy members of CG. While I do not deny their existence, I use to be one of them when I first started GMOD SWRP, there number is small. Think of it this way, for every arrest a member of CG (usually the arresting member) fills out a form for their arrest. I don't know about you, but my idea of fun isn't filling out forms 24/7. To address the "attitude problem" within CG, unfortunately members of CG do come under a lot of stress and find themselves easily irritated. Which in turn leads to some outbursts. While this isn't acceptable, sometimes other community members lead to the increase of stress for a regular CG member. I fondly remember times where CG have been the centre of harassment or "joke", some instances see Founders or those with similar power on server using CG as a method to "have fun" on the server. Whether this is RDMing/MRDMing us or aggravating the members of CG to the point where they just find no other option but to leave the server until said Founder or member of equivalence leaves the server. They don't deserve that. At the end of the day they're players too. Furthermore, members around the server adopted a different means of RP. Some are caring Clones, Some follow orders without question, some people delve into their "edgy" RP which is fine. Everyone has different methods of Roleplay. Some members of CG like to RP as a no nonsense, fanatically loyal soldiers. I'm sorry to say that if you are someone on the server that can't identify the difference between RP and OOC on an RP server, then I personally think you take a back seat on the RP until you develop some better understanding of the differences. (Just a general statement btw, not aimed a you specifically Ron.) Obviously there is a lot more to your statement, which like I said I agree with some of it. However, this is one of the first things I've read since I got off College and I'm completely tired. Please don't take this post personally, I just wanted to address some of the concerns you raised with your post as the BCMD. On a that note, I will say that not ALL of CG disagrees with this change. I've made an announcement explaining the situation and everything else. I can only apologise for the small minority that began to whine on this specific post.

Oh boy! Can't wait for absolutely nothing to change at all and then for someone to suggest to change the server back to serious RP in a couple months. In all honesty though, I don't particularly care. Just means people have an excuse to talk OOC whenever they want, which people do anyway. I doubt any rules will change and it will be exactly how it has been for months now. People can still have fun on a serious RP server its just that no one wants to put in the effort to RP seriously, or people lack creativity to do anything but shoot at NPCs all day. Personally its a -1 from me. Nothing will change on the server no matter what its designated as. People will continue to do as they wish. However, I feel it is better for advertisement of the server if it is designated as Serious RP. More people with join to RP or to minge and some minges stay for good.

@Pythin Validating Steam files is always a good place to start. Also I read a while ago that having too many addons can cause GMOD to just straight up crash apparently.
