  1. Hi All, It’s been about a year and a half since I lasted posted I believe. Some might know me, some won’t. I posted about this topic on my last post. How time marches on, and how little we can do to stop it. Some nights I find myself stuck in the midst of nostalgia, of the “good times”. But what are the good times? To everyone it varies, some during 2018. To others during 2020 around COVID. But again what are they? Was it the friends everyone made during their stay on Synergy? Or the fact that everyone, in someway, shape or form got to live out a childhood dream of being apart of the Clone Wars. While obviously it’s not what you pictured in your mind as a kid, fighting on the frontlines. Being a hero. But it was something wasn’t it? Or you would’ve never stuck around. It’s always a hard time looking in the past, everyone says hindsight is 20/20 but that’s not the case often. We, as humans, or at least most of us, typically remember the fond memories and drown out the bad. We look back with rose colored glasses because that’s what we want to remember. Whether what you remember was what happened or not. What you remember is up for interpretation. I’ll always picture myself, sitting in my basement playing Synergy, with the 501st Legion. Under Jackson at the time, because that is what I want to remember. Those were some of the happiest moments of my life then, whether I knew it at the time or not. I have countless memories of just running around the tiny corridors of the venator, talking aimlessly with names I cannot remember anymore. No matter how hard I try to. The many events I partook in, I could easily tell stories of them for hours. And that’s the best part. Every once in a while I’ll try to talk to friends I’ve made during my stay. It’s mostly cordial, short and sweet because we’ve grown apart. We have lives now, responsibilities. Responsibilities that I didn’t have when I was 14, or 16, or 18. When all I had during the summer was playing CWRP and an occasional chore. Right now as I write this, there is probably some kid making a memory that will last their entire life on CWRP. This is their childhood, as much as it was ours. And I’m thankful for that. I’m thankful for the fact I was able to experience Synergy, Icefuse, as much as shithole as it was during those dark days. I’m thankful for the friends and memories I’ve made along the way, and most importantly the lessons I learned too. It’s something not much talked about because of society today. About gaming teaching people life lessons. Genuinely good life lessons were learned on CWRP. I can say with confidence that I came away a better person because of the experiences I’ve had on these communities. Whether it learning to respect everyone, regardless of how annoying you found them. Listening when you need to and being open to criticism. It’s something undervalued because you don’t think if it when you’re playing games. Something that whether you know it or not, you’re going to carry it with you forever. A baggage you can never let go of. While this is a long post, I hope some people can remember some of the good times you had here, and the bad too. Because that is really what made us who we are today. Friends come and go, seasons and calendars change. Time marches on and all you have left is the memories you made along the way. “We didn’t realize we were making memories, we were just having fun.” - Winnie the Pooh
  2. sometimes I reminisce on the old days, memories from 2017, 2018, and 2020. The memories I made with friends who I don't talk to anymore and some that I still do. It's odd to think about how fast these years past by. It doesn't feel like too long ago that I was a 14 year old freshman spending a majority of my time playing SWRP and having a blast doing it. Now almost 4 years later, as an 18 year old with college on the horizon and my last year in highschool . It just feels odd how fast time flies and how little you can do to stop it. Friends came and went. Through the good and bad, the memories linger and you think about the good times and how you would do anything to go back. All the 4am shit show events that had me laugh so hard my stomach hurt. To the friends I made along the way. I thank everyone who has made the community what it is because Im not sure what I would've done with out it. Synergy and SWRP will always have a place in my heart. Thank you for reading. I'd like to see what this community means to you guys and how its changed you.
  3. This is top tier gold
  4. Tbh with you man, nothing that is good will help that CPU But if you want a GPU I'd recommend a low profile 7 series nvida card. Like a 710 or something because that thing is pre build so its PSU is not going to handle a good card I'd honestly recommend a new PC but good luck with it.
  5. +1 I believe in second chances, though you need to understand things will not go your way sometimes and you will need to adapt to it. don't fuck it up if you do get unbanned.
  6. I want to die And I'm only a senior in highschool How TF do you guys pass college

  11. wow As if this year couldn't get shittier. Korn acted like a father figure to many people and as many people said, made them feel welcomed. In SOBDE I can attest to that as I never felt welcomed but he always Included me and made me feel like the rest. May he rest in peace. a very sad o7.
  12. bruhhhhh a VGA lmao Well congrats on the new PC, for future reference I'd recommend a non pre-built because they tend to have bloatware, and they usually aren't worth the price they're sold for, but some are depending on the price. i'd doubt you will be looking for a new PC now but linus tech tip forums are actually pretty good. also what are the specs?
  13. I usually just ghost but you were removed for a valid reason. Regardless of race, ethnicity or where you live. Racism is racism, and one can be racist to their own. I believe Inosuke as he was never one to lie. As for staff, I do not know what you were like but basing off your past actions I cannot support you. -1 *Edit* also I do remember you throwing tryouts to allow Aryssa to pass. That was the word that spread around SOBDE during the time. Big no-no. simp..
  14. o7 buddy, lemme know if you wanna play anything I'm down brother gl in life
