Question: Why is it that we can not go back to Venator Extensive, as the Venator Map? Comments/Concerns: I have heard that it relates to "LAG" and Performance issues. I have also heard a rumor when we tried it originally that it was because some Higher Staff did NOT Want a Venator Map at all (but that was when we tried it a good few months ago). And when we were on the map originally it was amazing, Base Ops, Then Naval was decently active. There were working Turbo Lazers which were used very well. You did not NEED to use an elevator to get anywhere. Every Battalion had a Hanger in the MHB to personalize. It was fun, and worked. | As well I know of the "Armory"/"Ammo" Issue and with that all we need to do it Prop Block it. Give Every Battalion 1 HANGER. HC can have the OLD HC area same with Senate and the Naval. It takes Probably 1 Hour Tops to Make the Training Room again, and with Prep can make it in 30 Minutes if you save all of the Text Screens Before Hand. It is large but not in that way most people were in MHB or Sim Rooms when we were on it previously. Point 2. I see two options: 1] not permitted on venator, aka would freeze 2] Mercenary s only can be friendly Point 3, they are not "Confined" they can go around on ship. It's only ment to be on there for a week or two I belave it's a rotaion. Point 4. Its ment to make it so we have rotating maps. We are not going to be on the map long. Yes all events can get stale however sitting forever makes it happen faster.

RP Name: Battalion Commander Cody Date: 01/03/2020 Reason: I am no longer able to serve as commander cody due to the extensive and dedication the role requires and due to my increasing real life responcibilities I belive someone else is better off in the position. I will also be leaving Synergy, On December 27th 2019 I hit my 2 year anniversary and it has been an amazing 2 years on synergy I have met so many amazing people and managed to reach alot of roles within the server with the most recent being BCMD of my first ever battalion on synergy. Ever since resigning from staff I have kept to myself and the 212th as I felt like everyday more and more I was growing distant from the community and due to IRL circumstances I had less time to spend on the server, my terms as cody had their ups and downs but I feel like it was a productive period of time in which alot of changes were made for the better, most recently I have experianced a lot of stress regarding some issues that were surrounding 212th and despite resolving these issues It gave me time to think about my future in the community and I believe that it is time to take a long ass break and focus on other parts of my life Goodbyes: There are way too many imporant people to me in the community so I would just like to summarize my goodbyes into 3 groups. Staff Team - I think the staff team is often used as a scapegoat for some of the problems regarding the server but many people do not understand the amount of hard work and dedication that members of the staff team put into the server. I spent the majority of my time on synergy as a staff member as well as a huge portion of it as high staff and I understand how demanding the positions are so I thank the staff team for making my time here enjoyable, keep up the good work guys! High Staff/Management- The server would not function without the Head Admins, Directors and server management and Its been a pleasure working alongside you and I hope that when I return the server is still doing great, I am also very exciting for SCP and I can't wait to check that out when it releases. 212th - I've done shoutouts for the people currently in the battalion on 212th discord already so I'm gonna keep it short and simple, 212th was the one battalion that I have been in since I first joined in late 2017 and despite leaving for SOBDE after I reached XO i have always tried to remain contact with the 212th via the use of Teamspeak as well as going for Kenobi later on, I love this battalion and I love the people in it, I hope the next Cody is able to lead them into prosperity on the server. Listen, i'ma just be blunt here. Synergy is not dying at all. Hell, it's improved since it's initial inception and has gotten better over the years. Gmod just have a fallback on sales due to the fact the game is nearly 15 years old. It's just people overhype these issues on Synergy that can be fixed if the community works together on it. When Winter break hit, I decided to throw myself back into Synergy to have some fun. I accomplished this along realizing that this game takes up too much of my life and I grow obsessive bout it. It's starting to get a little unhealthy in my opnion so I decided to cut it outta my life. Don't get me wrong, this place is home to some of the most fun I've even had in my life and the community is great compared to some of the other servers on SWRP, but like with everything, it has some flaws. Since ever popular resignation/farewell has a section where they callout the server for being too gay or something IDK. Instead of being a downer bout it on how the Server is gonna die in like 2 months or something, i'ma just give some advice without trying to start too much Shit. Now I ain't perfect and neither is my advice, but i'll just give some tips on how to fix some problems, avoid starting shit, and do the whole goodbye thing. -Gamemasters- Listen, ya'll are kinda the punching bags when it comes to the flaws of the server. Some of it is undeserved, some is. Now this aint directed at all of you, it's just general criticism i've seen around the block. Please for the love of all that is good, if you have the choice between doing a random shoot em up where either DW/CIS/Pirate show up just to shoot some clones with a plot line you thought up only in your head without commiting too it or spending at least 30 minutes thinking about a somewhat unique event idea, do the latter. If you don't have any ideas, there's quite literally 1000's of hours of Canon events you can pull from with the Clone Wars. Hell, You can just watch an episode of Clone Wars and steal the plotline and adapt it for Synergy players. Badda bing, if ya do it right, you got yourself a solid event. I know players can be frustrating as well to communicate and coordinate with. Just keep trying, and if that don't work. Try again. Lastly if you still can't find an event idea and you've already looked at the Synergy event ideas forum thingy, then just go ask another Gamemaster/Helper. They (Hopefully) won't scream at you for being a incompetent dumbass for not being on their same level of IQ or something like that. They'll give ya ideas to help improve your idea making or event making method. Hell, go to someone like @Scribbles who gives us some killer ass events and he's nice enough to tell ya how to improve. -Directors- Oh boy, it's the big bad mean directors here to steal all my money :<. Yall are doing good but there's one thing every Synergy player wants, they just want more communication with the people who basically de-facto run the server when the founders aint online. Like ya obviously shouldn't tell us confidential stuff or why someone was removed from staff for obvious reasons. Like please, if you can give us like a bi-weekly report of stuff YOU GUYS are working with helping the server improve. Square, Sanchez, Marvel had a good start on this with the whole Ask a Staff thing. Trust me, we don't care if it's bad news or the update being stalled for like 17 months, we just need to know what's going on because silence doesn't help calm people whose opinion on yall are, lets just say controversial. If none of that can happen then just pop by in Batt TS channels and just hang with people. -Players in General- When it comes to RP, sometimes initiative and stepping outta ones comfort zone will help improve yours and other RP experience. Also for the newer guys who feel somewhat intimidated by all the high rank mumbo jumbo people . Don't be, we're all just humans behind this computer and don't just don't be an ass to people I can assure you that's how you get friends. Closing statement Don't take my words as absolute truth, some of this stuff people may already be doing or something along those lines and I just didn't notice. I'm just some dumbass on the internet who enjoys projecting themselves onto a character and RPing with other people. I ain't going to take some imaginary moral high ground cause I myself have done a lot of this shit and made a lot of mistakes over my time here. I aint got any experience with human psychology or any of that stuff. I'm just giving my advice on somethings. I've never been a person for forever goodbyes, i'm kinda uncertain bout this one if I ever decide to come back and play. Who knows really, I may be back in months, years, or never. My only hope is for how much time this community has spent on this server that it only improves for the better. Who the hell really knows the future of all of us, if theres one thing I can take away from my 2 and something years with Synergy, yall are the most surprising people i've ever met. Yall just remember that this is a video game and you're meant to have fun. So do it, have some fun and trust me. You will have some great moments here if you keep on trying. Lastly please don't get the wrong idea that the community will never improve, do more then I'm doing now and work to improve yourself and others or something. TLDR: Moving away from GMOD because i'm getting a obsessive about it again which hurts me IRL This server has a lot of good points and some flaws which can be fixed with some elbow grease. Eyyyyyy boiiiiiiisssss Long story, sorry. I started downloading GMod last week to screw around on a DarkRP server and whilst downloading I went through looking at some old screenshots I have laying around from the beginning of Synergy. Got me in the feels pretty good, everything just kind of came back, I forgot why I even left in the first place. Had some hurdles to overcome, thanks to the High Staff for giving me a chance. Especially Joah for being my guy even after all this time. It's been a really cool few days, I've tried to throw myself into every event possible, I know some of you really enjoyed my Bartender RP last week the amount of improvement I've seen since I was last on is amazing. Looking forward to hanging out with the bois again.
