Lore: The real world does not exist within the star wars world. IMPORTANT DEFINITIONS: Emulate: to model after, to recreate, or to take DIRECT inspiration from. This includes offensive stereotypes Real World Religion: Any religion followed by anyone in the real world. Including but not limited to Christianity, Judaism, Catholicism, Islam, ETC. More In Depth Reasoning: My point is, it can VERY quickly devolve and become offensive, even if that was never the intent. Or someone can find it offensive even if not everyone interprets it as such. And to clarify, when I say emulate I mean simulating Christian, Muslim, Jewish, catholic, Mormon etc. Religions in a way that they are easily recognizable, using specific terms, characteristics or events. Example from a recent scenario: Mentioning Jerusalem in a world where Jerusalem does not exist, clearly taking characteristics from a real world religion and using it in the fictional world of starwars. Clearly emulating a Christian rooted religion. (Fuck specifics I'm no expert) If I got on a senator job and began spouting Q theories and shit people would be offended Even if I represent it in a way that is not offensive toward the people who believe that stuff Like politics, religion has no place in rp. It creates divide in a community. Yes, The Jedi Order draws inspiration from real world religion without making it super recognizable or drawing on stereotypes. There is also no reference to biblical/religious events, actions, or characters of a real world religion. Essentially making it its own religion, and manages to avoid offending anyone I don't care if you guys worship a flying bantha that turns rocks into chicken nuggets and shits skittles. But keep real world religion and politics out of it. I was told that the BH high command has no say in this, and they advised me to make a server suggestion so here it is. This suggestion is not saying the person involved in the aforementioned scenario was guilty of being offensive towards anyone. This suggestion is to implement a preventive measure to prevent a scenario like Saleem from happening again and people actually trying to justify their actions.

Fat +1 This is NOT an all the time enemy. This is an enemy that will enhance the roleplay of the server by having unique interactions and custom "Lore" as their notoriety increases. And lets be real, if the Clone wars were to have a filler season 8, the writers might not hesitate to create another Dark Force User that fought alongside the CIS. They would just write it in a way that makes them fit into the story somehow. (If they felt the need for a new character) Example: Lets say there is a Dark Force User created by a player on the server called "Plendoo" this dark force user then uses the handful of droids that Dooku allowed him to use to mount an assault on the Anaxes base, in the process Plendoo comes across the Admiral as he raids BCC. Plendoo goes up to him and grabs his shirt and holds his saber up to his gut, asking why he should let the admiral live, but before the admiral could answer, the clones storm BCC, destroying the droids in the room, Plendoo drops Yularen and begins to fight his way out, backed into a corner he uses the force to cloak, and makes it out alive, only to face the wrath of dooku for his shortcomings. So he vows vengence on Yularen. Thats the way I imagine it, recurring custom Dark Force Users. I am sure with their implementation there will of course be a large list of rules for them to follow. Also whats the difference between a GM bringing in a custom sith lord and the CIS using more lore friendly dark force users. (Note: Corrupted Jedi can also be considered dark force users, that can lead to story)

-1 it would be funny yes, but I am going to have to say I disagree. I really DONT want to see event jobs or players fortnite dancing. We're soldiers engineered to fight in a vicious war for the right to rule the galaxy. I don't think dancing is quite how the clones would be acting. And of course before "We're not a serious RP server we're semi-serious" if you start taking away serious aspects from a semi-serious server, you will lose those who want to seriously RP and eventually the server will devolve into mingefest and RP will be a distant memory. Please mass dumb me because you disagree.

Im not here to argue. I don't care if the server is "serious" or "semi-serious" its still for roleplay. Idk about the PT for leaning on a military base, its just a possible example. Sitting on second story railings could lead to injury, and if a company/government program (ex. the military) doesn't disallow it, they could be sued or something stupid like that. A real life example is back in my highschool we had a reinfirced glass railing with metal mesh on the other side of it overlooking our commons. Kid jumped off and tried to sue bc the school didnt have safety precautions, however its a highly enforced rule not to even lean on the railings. You said it has no reason, so theres a reason for you.

So this is definitely an interesting take. I will go over my opinion. Which tends to differ from others. This is a roleplay server. Not a social life simulator. Talk ooc in ooc chat, in bunks, ooc lounge or in teamspeak. Talk in roleplay elsewhere so that you may encourage more downtime roleplay. I personally have been trying to break character less when I am out and about, because again, its a roleplay server. (God I suck at explaining this) Dont. Sit. On. Railings. I don't care that it can support you. If this military base was real you'd get pt'd just for leaning on it because: if for some reason you do fall, the military has to pay. (Aka its against the rules for rp liability reasons and breaking it is failrp) If someone is a "special snowflake" dont disrespect them. CG doesn't need to investigate, they want to roleplay too. Its a staff issue if the Arrest is false. If the staff deems it disrespect, it was probably disrespect, take it like a man instead of becoming a special snowflake. -1 I just don't think these rules should be edited in this way.

I had this happen yesterday after a crash Steps to take: Retry in console - Fixed mine Restart GMOD -Reinitializes addons Uninstall all addons and reinstall - fixes corrupt addons @Hearttold me there is an addon that breaks wiltos or something so check for "Pills" or something Delete Lua files - Fixes corrupt LUA files Verify integrity of gmod - checks for corrupt game files Complete uninstall and Reinstall GMOD - Last ditch effort to fix corrupt files Do each one and check if its fixed, hopefully its easy like mine was

This is in the staff report section, however is more of a GameMaster Report since I could not for the life of me find a GMM all day. if Heart requested it locked so he may gather details, please respect him and his team so they may deal accordingly, Staff abuse is not something that gets voted on anyway. Yes there is a lack of evidence, but there was a fair amount of people on. Unfortunately I didn't collect evidence because I didn't think it would be a staff report situation, However the picture shows dual wielding dooku. RP Name: Logicless Steam ID:STEAM_0:0:159926113 Staff member you are reporting: Xander Staff Members Steam ID (If applicable): Staff Members Wrong-Doing: Breaking GameMaster rules, FailRP, not disciplining failing Event jobs Explain the situation: Around 2pm EST on February 5th Xander started an event/encounter. It started normal enough, some weak fighters piloted by event jobs mixed in with AI. Then the event job pilots began to suicide bomb the hanger. This has been done before and I guess isn't the worst thing ever, but the event job continued to do it for the entire event. I do not know who it was or their steamID. There was fighters grounded in aurek, and a vwing tried shooting them and Xander used his phys gun and almost killed the vwing. Xander at the time was doing the classic Grievous "You foolish droids, I'll do it for you" He then came down as grievous in a geonosis fighter that dooku normally flies. He was wielding dual saber staffs and using force lightning and force reflect. (Possibly more but I do not know). He died probably faster than he had intended, and his fighter got blown up before he could retreat. He then switched over to Dooku and started the fighters again, and gave them insane amounts of health. For reference, I point blank diamond stormed one of the fighters 4 times, each hit deals about 15,000 damage, and then the troopers shot it down. Dooku came down and was dual wielding single bladed lightsabers. I believe he ran away to Aurek, where we chased him down and breached in. At this point I was given permission to diamond storm event jobs. Dooku was inside with a droid behind him, DU unloaded on him and I helped with the breach with two diamond storms which dooku just sat there doing force lightning stream, EATING my diamond storms, which at that range probably should've killed him in one shot. Dooku eventually switched to his dual lightsabers and ran off with force leap spam (classic) then he spawned a fighter in front of himself and sped off. Supposedly after there was another incident at the medbay, which someone reported to me that he was on Dooku and refusing to roleplay when he was captured. However I have no details. This event was an awful clusterfuck and I was going to post this same thing on the AAR, however it never went up. Meaning he never posted an AAR for an encounter/event which I believe is against the rules since it can be done to avoid negative feedback. Both sides of the argument are rather strong. With DU being defensive based a JT wouldn't make sense (excluding HS). Its like CG, they don't usually do the whole front line thing that requires a JT. I personally am conflicted. If DU had every regiment and the uniqueness it currently holds, what would inspire people to join other battalions. I think DU is a unique battalion on the server when compared to 501st, 21st, 212th and 104th. I feel like it wouldn't be fair to give DU all the same regiments since they keep their shields when 21st lost the westars (on most jobs), 212th and 501st lost their custom dc15a's. All batts also lost the stats buff. I can see us getting a JT if we were to give something up. I am going to remain neutral because you guys really want it, and founders will make that final decision. Funny meme reason: Jetpacks dumb, remove regiment entirely. Thats why I mentioned a compromise that its either savage or ventress during the op, not both. We get obliterated by jedi, like they 2 shot B1s. Its only fair we get more force users to keep up.

Well Rancor and half the 501st lore characters wouldn't be helping the republic at thisvpoint in time.... Yeah I'm not getting more into that. This argument is invalidated, HOWEVER maybe there can be s rule that its either Ventress or Savage during an op, not both. Have you seen some of the primetime ops? Even with NPCs and artillery we get obliterated. Especially if theres alot of jedi. Last op I essentially got bullied by Luther and Yoda lol. A force user will help balance this out a bit. Lastly, the CIS is currently close to incapable of roleplay. Heres why B1, B2, Droideka and Magna Guard are KOS Commando RP is pointless, bc metagaming, and generally overused. However, this leaves comms RP, which exists if you pay attention. Maddox for example is Trench and was roleplaying with Brace in comms yesterday. Dennis could do this too but dooku's exquisite laughter would get old reap fast, Dooku doesn't have very amazing interactions with anyone specific. The addition of Savage and Ventress will create the opportunity to have more interactions. It obviously doesn't just automatically create more rp, thats up to the people holding those positions. Uhm yeah, using lore to explain a good addition is a way to get stuff added, however if you believe its a good addition but isn't lore friendly just look at half of Rancor's command... sometimes its a good idea, even it breaks lore. +1

Discussed with @Naffen in discord the situation. Appealing is a good process. I made this suggestion with good intentions for change on the server, to make it more welcoming. To be fully honest, I didn't realize every battalion had an appeal process. Void

And this is a true suggestion. If it was emotion it would contain alot of caps and expletive's because I've had a rather shitty day with this situation, Not just SOBDE

You missed my point, it can't be refreshed for the same action. Lets say on April 17th I RDM'd the BCMD. resuilting in a 3 month black list. When that Three months is up, they cannot blacklist me again for what I did on April 17th. Its not micromanaging because most people who end up blacklisted from a battalion never actually go back, if they do, they deserve a fair chance, this suggestion says nothing about it being against the rules to put someone on probation within the battalion if they do join back.

My reasoning for this suggestion is that people change over time, and if someone is still playing after so many months, they probably have changed in some way. I don't believe it is fair to permanently blacklist anyone from any group on the server over something they did a really long time ago, because odds are, that person has changed. And with this suggestion I can already see people forming loopholes to get past this by blacklisting someone for 32 years, so I would also like to propose a cap of 3 months. Which is a substantial amount of time, and blacklists can always be refreshed if the person continues to break the same rules. (NOTE: I am not saying you can refresh the blacklist for the same offense, basically double jeopardy) This also gives a chance to those who are coming back because new founders did a mass unbanning to have a truly fair chance to integrate into the community, rather than be treated like dirt for something they did to get banned in the past.
