    Rule updates Yay

Hey Piff, a bit of clarification on why some of the rules are worded the way the are. Both rule 4 and 11 have to be broad and nonspecific so that it can be applied to instances of it. These are called “blanket rules” ex: disrespect is non specific cause there’s multiple forms of disrespect and by being too specific someone could weasel their way out of a punishment. Or with the don’t sit on anything that couldn’t support your weight, no director or HA wants to get an up to date tab on every single prop that clones can’t sit on because it’s a large amount of effort for something that ultimately doesn’t improve things. the issue with most of our rules isn’t the rules themselves but rather that the player base has to decide to enforce them through AOS. this is gonna be a -1 from me, the rules you listed are fine as is.
  2. We aren't able to unfortunately, HAs are able to assign the award tags. (SOTW, GH GM etc.) but not us.
  3. This mind set is not correct in my opinion. While yes, everything theoretically can be 'improved' changing things that are already working doesn't always work out well. This gets into the category of changing things just to change them, which 99% of the time does either nothing or hurts groups / battalions. Also, he doesn't need to reveal all of his plans in his application, that can be saved for his interview. As well we can expand upon his current plans as he sees fit once he gets the position as he will gain more information about the states of each battalion and things he would want to improve from a more complete point of view. Anyways, +1 Maddoxx, we see what ya got
  4. Name: Mitchell Who helped (If applicable): N/A Event Name: Tau-2, Hammer of Dawn pt 2 Link to Event Document (optional): After the detonation of the hyper matter bomb, Tau-2 took shelter inside of a bunker. After 2 months, they emerge to a hellish landscape around them. They scavenged for supplies before contacting the Republic in order to be extracted. They encountered various mutated wildlife as well as ghoulish humanoids who were attracted to radiation. They managed to extract, but now we must wonder how revenge will be exacted on those who caused this.
  5. This. Every interaction I have seen of you as Gume, or on clone has been negative. You use Gume as a reason to be toxic in game towards people to a point where its not even interesting to talk with you. This is on top of the time you refused to roleplay as a senator, by pretending to go afk when the CIS tried to kidnap you, then 'coming' back after we walk away. You come back we TP you as we had you in RP, you bitch and moan then pretend to go afk while talking in the 212th channel then proceed to not follow roleplay at all and say fuck you to the people doing the Operation. We reported this obviously, but it appears that the leadership of senators did not do their job as you should of been removed from your position then. Why should we support someone to lead senators when you can't even follow the rules that you are meant to enforce? Oh yeah, and you were just banned for racism, I do not know how that is not grounds for removal from senators either but the more you know. -1. To everyone saying. "+1 no one else wants to go for it" this is entirely the wrong mindset to have. Just because there is a lack of quality candidates does not mean we need to lower our standards for the positions.
  6. Concept / Building: The concept was cool, had a lot of potential, and the building you did was pretty good. If the rating ended here, it would be a 10/10 but there are a lot of issues I want to touch on. 1. The waiting. The amount of downtime we had for this event was astronomical. The time it took for us to start briefing after loading in was nearly 30 minutes, after which we spent another 15-20 minutes being briefed. Then another 15-20 minutes after each map switch. I understand we have to wait for people to load in so I'm not holding that against you. 2. Switching everyone over to 41st whitelists was something I'm not the biggest fan of. You deployed 2 battalions, and told one of them they have to roleplay as the other. I get it for the battle of Kashyyyk it wouldn't make sense for Rancor to be deployed. But when you have people forced onto other jobs they can no longer roleplay as the characters. There was very little roleplay involved in this deployment for us, this did not feel like a 2 battalion deployment but felt like a 41st deployment that we were thrown in for more numbers instead of giving us an actual roleplay reason to be there,. 3. The first part of the event was not good. The Giant fire breathing fish that spit acid, immediately pulled me out of the event and the rest of the time I couldn't get back into the event after that. 4. After switching maps, the wookie massacre and dead 41st was a pretty good section. but with this part nearly being 2 and a half hours in, it was really annoying that the first real opportunity for RP was this far into the event. This was the first deployment I was in, where I called it quits half way through because the amount of timed invested and the entertainment returned was simply just not worth it. I honestly don't know how to rate this, there was a lot of effort put into this but I can't give this a good rating due me not enjoying the event. If I had to grade for effort, I'd put 10/10. This wasn't one of your good events Shockpoint, but I can tell there was a lot of effort put into it. I just believe that the execution and some ideas was not good. I don't know what rating to give cause none of them really describe how I feel accurately The way that 1 is worded is best for how I feel, but I dont think it was that bad in terms of an /10 scale. 3/10 is closest to how I feel.
  7. Name: Mitchell Who helped (If applicable): Cronis Event Name: Tau-2, Hammer of Dawn Link to Event Document (optional): Tau-2, Hammer of Dawn, was deployed with a contingent of Tau-3 to secure planetary leadership within a hospital in the outskirts of the capital city of the planet Erebus. After assaulting the hospital, they discover the planetary leadership is dead and was being used as bait. A small hypermater bomb was created by the CIS and detonated inside the city center. The Task forces ran down to a bunker below the outskirts of the city in order to escape the blast.
  8. Hope your break will give you time to find something you want to pursue on the server. Thanks for your service. o7
  9. Don't feel bad about resigning, staff is voluntary, and your mental health is always more important than a singular staff member. Best of luck dude, hope to see you back in the team eventually.
  10. "that was known to potentially crash people." He intentionally crashed players, which Management agreed was ban worthy.
  11. TL:DR Someone made a joke that he should change bodygroupers on pipes that was known to potentially crash people. He did it and crashed people, and was removed from staff. He was banned for this situation IIRC. Cause you were removed from staff you'd need to restart as an NA, I'd talk with the directors though. As personally you didn't do anything wrong staff related. +1, welcome back to the team.
  12. I must ask, how accurate is this video?

    Brain Dead

1/10 I honestly don't know where to begin with this. The briefing was vague, being given extremely vague instructions on what to do. The combat had very little challenge most of the time as the zombies spawned simply didn't agro. The times when things where challenging it felt more like bullshit than actual challenge. Lots of dead time, with amount of battalions you deployed there simply wasn't enough for everyone to do. Things I'd do to improve the event. 1. Reduce or remove the fog. I understand the effect you where going for, but with the dark enemies we were attacking, we had no real way to tell what we were firing at. As well as it made certain enemies hard to see which was frustrating to deal with at times. 2. Give different objectives people can do simultaneously, as well as give CLEAR briefings on objectives and why we are there. Or, deploy less people in the future. This mission didn't require as many people as we had to do. 3. If you want your event to be structured a certain way, build roadblocks that will stop people from doings things out of order, don't railroad them but build natural roadblocks into your event. I know you can do good events piff, this wasn't one of them.
  14. +1, don't get discouraged due to demotions or other things. I was demoted from VA to SA then got HA within a month. Hope you can bounce back.
  15. Name: Mitchell Who helped (If applicable): Xiao Event Name: Tau-5 (Hammer and Anvil) Link to Event Document (optional): Task force Tau-5 (hammer and Anvil) was deployed to the polar regions of a planet in order to liberate a vital city, along the way they destroyed a CIS manufacturing facility and mine, cutting off key industrial targets. As well as taking over the transportation hub of the planet. Allowing for more heavy vehicles to be deployed in the future. So task force Tau-1 (Hammer of Dawn) can deploy with their walkers and other mechanized infantry.
  16. Name: Mitchell Who helped (If applicable): Craig Event Name: Tau-3 Link to Event Document (optional): Tau-3, Wolves of War (ARC Troopers) were deployed to the surface of a planet under CIS control. They were tasked with disabling the planetary defense platforms so that the invasion force can touch down and begin the campaign on planet. Their mission was a success and the rest of the task forces will be deployed soon for their respective missions.
  17. It wasn't a question on if you are planning to increase activity, it was if you can meet it. Cause you've had a decent amount of time to increase your time on server but chose not to. Regardless, +1 squad lead is easy. Good luck on your application.
  18. Just so that you are aware, the minimum for BCMDs is 40 hours per 2 weeks (to my understanding), you would need to almost double your time on the server per 2 weeks in order to meet the standard. Are you going to be able to meet this?
  19. +1 you are a fantastic Guild lead, keep up the good work.
  20. Im very hesitant to give support as from what I understand you didn't want to go for the position until now, its hard not to feel like you are only going for it because no one else will. So I have a few questions. What major issues do you see in Jedi do you believe need to be addressed? How do you plan on fixing the RP issues of Jedi you laid out? Such as them acting too sith like. How do you plan on fixing the council? as you stated you believe that Council has many issues. How do you plan on adding more appeal to Jedi? as at the current moment people think Jedi is shit and has been for a while How do you plan on addressing battalion Jedi? As the last Yoda allowed for a vote to pass that said that battalion Jedi don't actually have to work with the battalions. If you think that battalion Jedi is fine then just say you think it's fine. Ill vote after you answer
  21. 10/10 Was one of the most fun events I've been a part of.
  22. Seriously no one cares about your opinion, don't give it unless we ask.
  23. Never thought you where a pain in the ass, you where a cool dude for the most part. o7 man
