    I think this was a slightly above average shoot em' up. You did a great job for your first event. Like I said in the event review I had with you.

    You were able to take a vision you have in your head and make it happen on the server which is the basic building block of every GM. 
     

    I personally would have deployed only 2 battalions as the number of people and the size of the map made it go by very quick and the voice comms were horrible due to everyone trying to communicate. 

     

    Overall above average and a great way to start your GM career great job!

  3. Seems like a good decision for the longevity of the battalion.

    Although once again a decision that was made without any real community input besides the upper tier of high command / staff.

    Which is disappointing but is something I have come to expect with these changes. :/ 

    I think it needed to happen. But did it need to happen this way? Nope.

    I think you did a great job overall with the event I felt like the mission was a bit to grand scale for the map though as most of the time RP was very difficult to do since we were so close together. This is a great example of doing alot with a little not 1000s upon 1000s of props or a giant map just a classic combination of RP and scenario work.

    You also did a great job with incorporating the different preferences of the units as RANCOR is more of a combat based battalion and SOBDE has taken more of an RP focus by putting the Grey RC in the positon where they need to save there comrades they had a personal dilemma which opened up alot of good ways they could RP during the combat phases.

    Well done. 

    You did a very good mix of ambience, RP, and action. Everything made sense. From briefing on Extensive to the siege of the base. 

    The one thing I had a "hey this could be better" moment about was being able to forshadow the ending a bit. 
    Meaning that we got the bad ending by blowing up the comms but at least from my POV there was no indication that we would lose contact with the republic because of that because we normally have global comms that just work so some indication of "hey you are proxying off of the CIS comms" would have made us think twice. 
    Even if it was something as simple as a console that had that information.

    Once again a massive step forward for immersion. Second to none possibly. 

    I think it overstayed it's welcome at certain points and the gameplay was repetitive in the second half (but hey it's tower defense so what else did you expect).

    RP was heavy, action was well done and the usage of the HL2 npcs advanced AI had an amazing fog of war effect that is very hard to do right without overwhelming the player which didn't happen here.

    Well done Snad the world building was superb, the storytelling top notch the players amazing RP and overall very enjoyable this is how you lift source material from a different IP correctly

    Overall it was mid. The story was pretty hard to follow, we couldn't really interact with things / learn about the story from the environment which I love (environmental story telling is dope)

    The player interaction was what made it pretty fun but overall not bad the feeling of being lost and hopeless was great and i could tell you were going for it

    Nicely done Snad. As always even an event that doesn't go as expected from a GM POV is still awesome. 

    I also love the crate falling into the water part. It's dope having a surprise twist to complicate the mission.

  13. He explained this to the GM team in the public meeting we had recently I believe. 

     

    But from what I recall it was due to the class of item (effect) being blacklisted through GProtect (our prop protection system). The only way to disable that protection would be to do it for the whole class which is not something that can be done as effects need to be restricted.

    I'm sure I messed something up in that explanation but Jad should be able to correct anything I messed up

  15. Sorry about the crashes once again GMOD proves to be the worst avenue to do what I want to do... 

    I will stay where I belong on flat grass and blank space for these types of events

    Description of event/encounter (required if no document provided):  The Siege regiment was sent on a mission to Geonosis to recover highly secretive battle plans for the chancellor. They ended up crash landing and scraping every inch to be able to succeed.
