  1. 7 or 8/10. Nice little something to do late on the server. Got to scare away a Commando from BCC so that was fun
  2. 7/10 I suppose. Hard to get too complex and amazing at 3 am est with only 6 or so CG really available, but very much appreciate the time and effort to get an event going for those who were on!
  3. You have always been a great part of the server, and a great influence on myself and the 104th. You held out longer than some of us, and I know the guys after us got a lot from you being there. Welcome to retirement, and we need to play something together sometime!
  4. 8/10. I think it would've been interesting to have some kind of continued counter attack or further investigation while the other Jedi were interrogating the captives. Solid premise, fun combat, and late night. Oh, and good RP by the event jobs.
  5. Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:100795571 RP Name: Marion/Comet Battalion: 104th Who is in command until you return?: Slate/FM/Xain Length of Absence: 5 days 6/26-6/30 Reason: I know I'm not Wolffe or anything, but I wanted to post this anyways since I'm still awaiting interview and don't want to have my app beaned for not being here. I am going to see my friend graduate Boot Camp and then visit another in Atlanta. I'll be back and active Monday.
  6. +1 (obviously). It only makes sense for the Wolfpack heavy to run the same speed as a normal heavy
  7. -1. I love the idea of a city occupation and map, but we've done 3 or 4 map changes in like a month and just keep coming back to this one. The new one should be done soon, and having people need to redo documents, trainings, rules, etc each time is frustrating.
  8. Thanks, but there are a few things I would like to clear up. There weren't many people up for Comet, if any, based on Moros's statements. As for not doing a lot, much of what I did was management and behind the scenes: creating/managing documents, advising Moros and giving him feedback when he asked for those, Intel, etc. I will admit I didn't spend a ton of time in server at that point, but that was because I was mostly doing document work, discord work, and meetings. In terms of not doing anything with Comet, I don't think that is a fair assessment since you and others left 1 day into me having it, and I have since added WP members and redefined their roles. I want to clarify that this post is not negative or anything, I just wanted to clear things up since I do believe their is some misinformation out there.
  9. Steam Name: Marion Thorison RP Name: WPL Executive Officer Comet (Marion) Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:100795571 Applying For: 104th BCMD Wolffe Experience: CG: My first experience with SWRP was on Icefuse prior to Synergy's creation. I was a Coruscant Guard who constantly guarded, who I affectionately called with others, AFK Max as Palpatine. I stopped playing right around the rank of SGT due to joining the Navy, and therefore going to boot camp. 91st and GM: I came back to SWRP some time later due to the recommendation of Wolfro, and he pointed me toward Synergy. I joined a 91st in need of help under Buzz. During my time I rose to the rank of Colonel and achieved my first ever lore character, LS lead Razor. I led the squad to the best of my ability, but with the loss of more people and the unfortunate decline of interest in the 91st, it was removed. I immediately joined GM as most battalions were taking 1-1 from the removed 327th and 91st. At the time, Oxen was BCMD and his leadership inspired me to put my best effort into GM, despite my ignorance of how they functioned. It was tough coming into the battalion at such a high rank, but due to the help of the CMDs of GM, I was able to accomplish many goals and trainings. I received all GMACTs, EOD, TECH, bMED, and leadership trainings. I also talked to Shock and they gave me a sort of "police" (can't remember what we called it) training for RP purposes. Due to a lack of mobility because of a full CMD corps and Navy obligations, I resigned after a couple of months. Shock: I attempted to rejoin later and joined Shock, however real life hit about the time I was a PFC and I had to leave the server again. 501st: Later, I joined a server that Wolfro was trying to start to help him out. I was Captain Rex there, but, as with many startup servers, it didn't last. 104th: Now we get to what I consider my biggest achievements. I joined the server again and Wolfro recommended 104th. Their specialties and reputation I had heard appealed to me, so I joined the 104th in February. I immediately fell in love with the battalion as it had the perfect blend of seriousness and fun, with leadership invested in the battalion and troopers. I joined the JT regiment and quickly rose to SGT, where I began getting more involved in the management of the battalion. I became the JTX for the 104th soon after, and worked with Boost/Rover on recruiting and updating the documents. Around the same time, I joined Intel to assist in logging and monitoring information, as well as got bNEG trained even though it wasn't required yet. As I moved pretty rapidly through the NCO ranks due to the effort put in to the battalion (and not just requirements), I looked for any way to relieve the work load of the High Command of 104th. I got aNEG trained and asked Moros if there was a way to be trained to give bNEG; he obliged and I became the only other person in the battalion other than Moros who could give bNEG training. When our previous WO resigned, I put in an application, and after some time waiting due to logistics and time zones, I was interviewed and accepted. At this time, WO was Tracer and therefore MECHL so I held those responsibilities as well as managing and advising NCOs. I held frequent NCO meetings to address concerns of NCOs, get feedback for the Officer Corps, and correct problems that were creeping into the ranks of our Junior NCOs. During my term I revised and created new docs to train the NCOs with, and these are still being used to great success. As Tracer, I was also a member of Wolfpack and assisted in helping vote on and discuss new possible members into the Squad. After what I was told was an extremely successful WO term, Moros and Scarecrow (now the Spec Reg) saw fit to promote me to the position of LTC. Due to some disagreements between the REGL at the time, as well as a desire to focus on the battalion as a whole, I resigned from JTX and put all of my effort into helping the battalion as a whole. I was promoted to Intel Manager not long after and continued to correct deficiencies in our logging. Moros became Wolffe not long after this, and I continued to help in anyway I could. I talked frequently with him, giving my advice and recommendations where he wanted/needed it. I was then promoted to XO and continued to assist him, helping create new documents, change the way WO works, restructure the Regiments, and create new WP tryouts once I became Comet. Due to some disagreements and misunderstandings, approximately 20 people left the battalion, most of which were SNCOs and Officers. This was a big test and burden on Moros and I, but we have bounced back and are still filling in the gaps left behind with good people. Due to Moros having IRL stuff that made his schedule difficult, I have taken on many responsibilities of the BCMD as XO. These include resolving issues through discussions with the MCMD, Commander Meetings, Battalion Officer Meetings, and Document Review and Approval. I am currently working to maintain the upswing we have seen in numbers and structure, having recently promoted 3 highly qualified individuals to Senior Officers to assist in this. Why Should You Become Battalion Commander?: I believe I should become Battalion Commander Wolffe because I have and will continue to put in the effort to make the 104th the best it can be. I have put in as much time as possible in making sure the battalion is functioning as efficiently as possible in every aspect, and that time should go up as I am soon separating from the Navy. Even as an NCO, my first priority has always been the battalion and the troopers. I've loved being a part of 104th since I joined, and I want everyone who joins to get the same opportunity to experience it as I did. I believe my extensive discussions with Scarecrow, Moros, and even Slate have allowed me to become better than I ever could've been and to understand many different types of leadership and decision making processes. I have many ideas and ongoing changes that I will be even more able to control and guide as BCMD. Being in the Navy has given me many trainings on ways to approach different situations, and I always try to be diplomatic and reasonable in discussions, whether in or out of the battalion. I'm organized, and a bit OCD about logging and documents, which I believe can help clean up some clutter in our process. I am also willing to make decisions that some people might not agree with, but that I know will benefit the battalion, which is something that I think we desperately need in our current state. Availability: I currently am in the process of separating from the Navy as I've stated, but I am able to be on nearly every evening. I am Eastern Standard Time, and usually get off of work between 330 and 5 pm. Even when I am not one, I quickly respond to any Discord messages using my phone (when not at work of course). I will be having to find a new job when I leave the Navy, so these times may be subject to change; however, I will still make every effort to keep my activity where it should be. Estimate Of Time On Server: WPL Executive Officer Comet has played for 786:26:00. Do You Have A Microphone?: Yes. Where Do You Want Your Battalion At The End Of Your Term?: By the end of my term, I want the battalion to be as self-sufficient and smooth running as possible. I already have plans and action in place to consolidate documents and rework certain processes. I have talked with Zeik and Rerb about having the 104th interact more with 41st and BO, and I hope to extend that to other battalions as well. We are still recovering from the fallout of the mass exodus of people, and I intend to have every major position filled very quickly. I would like to see a thriving WP that is something to look up to on the server. I want the Officer Corps to be given more responsibility and defined expectations, so that they can do many things that they currently can't when High Command isn't on. I expect to have most of my goals in place within a month or so, with the rest of my term spent working out the kinks and promoting an enjoyable, friendly atmosphere in the battalion. Do You Understand That Your Position Has A Three Month Term Limit And You Must Reapply After Three Months To Maintain Your Commander Rank?: Yes I do.
  10. -1 As said before, the whole "breaking lore" thing invalidates half the named characters and some battalions on the server. The Sith actually provide fantastic RP since Chrome has taken over, better than most Jedi RP I see I'd say. They do provide cool/fun stuff to do in down time (you can't expect GMs to run events non-stop) if you want to, and with the recent rule changes things are becoming more clear on what is and isn't allowed. I think there are a couple changes that could be made: I think the Sith should read up more on rule changes ( a lot of them, especially Apprentice and below seem to remember old rules and not know the new ones), which the higher ups do enforce when it's brought up (to be fair it's hard to FORCE people to read it, but they put them out). OOC complaining happens in every battalion/faction if the situation pisses them off, and it is usually isolated individuals in that group. The only thing I will agree with is the whole "Alliance" thing; I never really liked it, and think the RP brought by the Civilian models as well as the random fights/encounters is sufficient. Overall, Chrome has done great work in turning them around and I would prefer to see other things removed over them.
  11. 8/10. Fun concept and crossover.
  12. +1. I've seen you pretty active lately, and I hope it isn't JUST for the position, which is a valid concern. However, when I see you on you are always doing SOMETHING with the 501st and other ATK battalions, whether that's just claiming a box in courtyard , or sims in CQC. I've interacted with you a couple times in Sims and events, you seem like a good guy. Just because you're EU doesn't mean you should be judged one way or the other on that.
  13. YES! +1. Jetpacks really suffered hard on the nerf, at times they can hardly get you where you need to go Or at the very least go with my old suggestion and slightly up the current ones to somewhere between where they are now and where they were before.
  14. +1 Hard to really tell what it's doing, but anything to promote the RP with shaking up too much. Edit: Even more so backing this now that I understand what it does
  15. +1, with the exceptions that Fours stated that don't make sense. Well, other than Gungans; let them be a TRUE Sith Lord
  16. -1, for a variety of reasons: 1. The issue with ENG struggling isn't because the opportunity isn't available (as others stated) as a job. The problem is that there aren't many times where it is needed, or those who have it don't do it. Solution? Come down hard on the ENG jobs and BO if they aren't doing their job. If it isn't that, then GMs should encourage more RP related to that while the shoot em up aspect is happening. Both of these could make ENG RP viable again, without the additional issues. 2. In terms of a battalion removal, space, etc, I agree that there is not room right now. With 128 people, it can be hard enough as is. Now personally, I would've +1'd this over 187th when they were added, simply because the "airborne" role is rarely useful and is already encompassed by 212th. If the 187th were replaced with this I'd be more inclined to back it. However, even they struggle with numbers and are pretty new, so adding another new battalion from scratch would potentially worsen the problem, or repeat it. As for removing Sith, they provide a completely different function (i.e. Roleplay that can be spontaneous based on patrols, attacks, etc.) that would not match a battalion being added (this was one of the problems with going to the Venator, we had nothing to do with Sith). And before anyone says "Sith don't RP," Chrome has done an excellent job changing that. 3. Jurisdiction. This is one of the big problems I could see happening. 104th handle armor, BO handle turrets/Generators, GM do gate repairs, and then you add these guys. Despite how hard people work to counter it, people will always argue and fight about who is allowed to do or is in charge of something; I see it even now with things like negotiations, interrogations, hell even Medical and VIPs at times. I think the addition of it would cause more conflict than it actually fixed. Overall, I think that this isn't the time, especially with a new battalion just added. MAYBE if this had come before 187th, but even then there are the other issues. Like I said, the real issue is that there need to be more opportunities for ENG RP provided and those who have it need to do the job when it is available.
  17. +1 from me. Before yesterday I had basically never talked to him. During these recent events, he has been extremely helpful and open with the 104th Command, and has worked with us to learn what was going on. At no point did he take any sides or criticize people, and only wanted to reach an understanding. He has a desire to work closely with other battalions and maintain good relations with them. After last night I was thinking that he should be Gree, and here we are.
  18. -1. It just seems sort of pointless like those before have mentioned. With no Ashoka, it'd be weird to have anyone in it; it's just another "sub-unit" that will take away from TC if people were even doing that really; and until the show drops and we know more about the lore of them, it doesn't make sense I think to add them just because their helmet looks cool.
  19. I'm going to give this a +1. Yes, he is from outside the battalion. Yes, there are probably people waiting to reach their 1 month as CPT to be allowed to apply. However, I have seen very few 187th on lately. Now the way I see it is if people are waiting for their opportunity to apply and are actively still doing great things on the server with the 187th, then I would agree that they should get priority. But like Chop and others I've talked to have said, the numbers have been pretty awful and I don't see them doing a whole lot over the past few days or so. My concern (and this is personal opinion/outside view, so take it as it is) is when you have people waiting on a cooldown like the CPTs are right now. This can more often than not lead to a sharp decrease in activity until shortly before the "timer" is up. That kind of thing makes me question how I would feel about having BCMDs who do/did that. Now, like I said this is ALL from what I've seen and heard on the server, and is my best understanding of it. I am in no way claiming that all of these are 100% applicable statements, just that there is evidence for it. I think any battalion needing a BCMD would benefit from having a well experienced commander enter their ranks and provide some stability and structure to the battalion from the top down. Especially since there are none in the Battalion who either intend to apply (if qualified) or meet the requirements to yet. I don't think a position should be "Reserved" until someone in the battalion qualifies.
  20. 10/10. That was fantastic and well thought out. The concept of using the credit system and allowing the Officers to plan out their attack strategy made it feel so much better. I love tactics and strategy which this heavily utilized. Keep it up!
  21. +1. This man has been one of the most active and dedicated members of 104th I've seen since I've been back on the server (3 months or so). I've seen him on every day I've been on, constantly training, mentoring, and leading as necessary. He is a fair, but firm leader which allows him to weed out people who have caused problems in the battalion. I honestly couldn't think of a better pick to step into this role, in or out of the battalion
  22. So a big point in all this is when you take into account events. Sure you can EVENTUALLY get somewhere. But during the pace of an event when you need to get overwatch or to high ground quickly, you're more likely to die in the process or be irrelevant by the time you get there.
  23. Have you tried using them? If not, then you don't get the point. They have effectively no vertical mobility which is what a Jetpack is designed for
