So I joined the server relatively recently, a little bit under a month ago now, and the main reason I decided to do so was to become a GM. I saw all of the cool, unique tools we have at our disposal on synergy and I would love to utilize them in any way possible to create some truly diverse events.

 

Some people may know I was once a GM on another CWRP server for a bit over a year until around 6 months ago, during which time I had some of the most enjoyable experiences I have ever had whilst playing games, I often contributed to large projects spanning multiple events because I really enjoyed the sense of accomplishment you get when days, weeks, even months of planning pays off in one big event which people genuinely enjoy. There’s something about knowing that you can do something which allows you to have fun doing it whilst also bringing other people enjoyment that I really miss about being a gamemaster and is what I’m really seeking out with becoming one again, this time on here where I can experience new things and create more, fresh event concepts.

 

I have a lot of experience from the aforementioned period, the thing I focused on the most was creating and hosting lore events (Events based directly off of episodes of the clone wars, the movies, games, etc.) with a single chronological timeline which players on the server were constantly looking forward to their favourite piece of lore to eventually be made into an event on the server. The last one I planned and hosted was the second battle of Geonosis, getting 3 full servers to run simultaneously with cross-server communication allowing them to all have a part to play in the same storyline, one being a space battle with the other 2 being on the ground, which might be the largest event of this nature on Gmod ever which is actually insane now that I think about it lol, but either way that was obviously a very early point in the timeline, I never really got to host the most interesting events I wanted to. If I get GM on here, I intend to work with the rest of the GM team to bring a similar, chronological series of lore events, spanning all the way from the battle of Geonosis to revenge of the sith. I have already started working with some GMs in a very early concept stage for this series of events, and have put together a sheet with all possible lore events that could be done as a part of this timeline (Not all the ones that will definitely be done, a lot will most likely be skipped due to irrelevancy and such) shown here:

I can also see some people being concerned that I haven’t hosted any encounters yet as an admin and GH, which is the case because I am posting this the very day I became an admin as I just couldn’t wait any longer to become a GM lol. I have GHed multiple events as an EJ and have had the opportunity to be set to SA with proper permissions for an event in the past so I have familiarised myself with many of the tools, building and spawning procedures, etc. as well as having tested some of the servers features in singleplayer to be used as parts of dupes which I have already sent to GMs that have used them on the server. The bottom line is, I really would like to become a GM ASAP, and I believe I have the necessary experience both on and off the server to do so.
