Aftershock Gaming CWRP: Colonel Truffle

I first began CWRP back in 2015 on Aftershock Gaming, Dooms Unit was the first battalion I joined, and I stuck with it all the to Colonel. While I was apart of DU I was under two separate BCMDS, Admax and Ghulil and was PLTL of the battalion for a bit and enjoyed my time there.  However it was removed sometime in 2016 and I transferred to 2ndAC as a 2ndLT, nothing too notable happened when I was apart of 212th, however, the community received a name-change and became Axiom Gaming.

After playing CWRP, I decided to give the FORP server a try and began climbing the ranks as a standard trooper, though I didn’t make it that far as I transferred over to the Pilot Battalion. While I was apart of the Pilots, I helped construct trainings and later on became a Captain, and was appointed the Squadron Lead, was similar to BCMD as I was in charge of the pilot branch from that point on. I assisted in some Dev Work on there as well, mainly just jobs and such.

I joined on May 10th of 2019 after Knockout told me about the server at school and immediately tried out for Dooms Unit, I passed the tryouts with 0 strikes and began my journey within Dooms Unit when I became a specialist I tried out for medic and passed the tryout and was placed as a Medical Trooper. I reached the NCO ranks like any other trooper and continued doing work and reached CSM, while I was CSM Havoc Squad was recently introduced and in order to prepare for the implementation of it, the current Doom at the time, Dennis set up a process in which a few were chosen for each position and then had to submit an application, then the application was read over and if accepted they would try out for the position, I was chosen to be Pipes, the squad medic, and sent my application. I got through the application phase and was called to the citadel to attend the tryout, the deciding factor. I had one other contender, however, I prevailed and was chosen to be Pipes on July 23rd, 2019 and would remain as Pipes until I was promoted to both Executive Officer and Brimstone, who is the lead of Havoc Squad.

 

Why should you become a Battalion Commander?: I feel I should become battalion commander due to the work I’ve already put into the battalion and the work I would like to continue putting into the battalion, I’ve risen to the rank of Executive Officer and shown that I can be trusted to run the battalion if the BCMD is not around, along with that I was entrusted with Brimstone and leading Havoc Squad. I bring up those two positions as I believe it showcases my ability to work with the battalion and stay with it even if things look a bit grim. Both of those positions aren’t ones that can be easily acquired and do require the individual receiving to be capable of what is not only needed to fulfill the position but who can exceed the minimum. I’ve been with Dooms unit since I started playing CWRP in elementary school and I’ve been in DU and only DU since I started playing on synergy last year, I’ve seen how two separate BCMD’s run the battalion and observed things that might get missed, small issues that can lead to larger and more complex issues and I would like to prevent as many of those as possible as Doom, as I do now as XO.

Availability: I try to get online every day if possible and stay on for as long as I can, however, I’m available on discord almost 24/7 if I am not in-game or on TS.

Where do you want your battalion or squad to be at the end of your term?: I would like the battalion to be at a point where not only does the community hold the battalion in high regards, we are also active and populated, with those active being really good at RP and keeping the atmosphere of the server alive, while retaining the fun atmosphere that Dooms Unit has to offer. Alongside that, I would like to reform how Havoc Squad operates as they begin to act like a separate entity from Dooms Unit, while I’m working on fixing this right now as Brimstone, it is still a goal I would bring into my term as Doom if I were to get it. The battalion should be able to operate on its own without having to pass every decision through Doom as well, I noticed that began happening and certain measures weren’t followed and more menial problems were sent straight to the HC instead of following Chain of Command, this isn’t a difficult issue to fix as individuals might just think of Doom or other HC members as the only ones who can get things finished which is not the case. Along with the aforementioned items, I would like to refine some of the current systems, some of them work quite well and aren’t in need of changing, some just need a bit of work done on them.

Simply put I took Truffle under my wing when I was looking at candidates to fill Havoc Squad with. I have been helping him through the ranks and guiding him to make sure he is prepared for a position like this. It doesn't mean much but as the FORMER Doom, Truffle is the one candidate ill give my backing to.
