Cutlaw - Underwater Mayhem

Recommended Posts

Name:

Who helped (If applicable): Bruise [ GH ] Rad James EJ

Event Name: Underwater Mayhem

Summary of the story:  An acclamator was sent to the rural planet to search for a distress signal left by clone operators of a recently downed venator, the last signal was sent in an underground cave system, filled with water.  501st Ghost Company and SO BDE were sent in to investigate it and jumped off from an acclamator to the landing zone and got with the mission. They found 2 buildings, one with a mainboard that unlocked the 2nd building's rayshield - A Test Chambers for future viruses of unknown origins and an observatory. A lot of fighting endured but the troopers prevailed! One Naval Operator was alive and was questioned about the whole ordeal

What was the result of the event?: A future deployment regarding boarding and space fights

Was this more of a role play oriented or "shoot em up" oriented event: More a shoot em up, with a little bit of RP

Here are some pictures from the build:

THIS IS ALL OF THE SIGNS USED FOR THE DEPLOYMENT

First Chamber: [Unknown Species], awaiting approval to begin testing, no signs of communication nor aggression
2nd Chamber: [Civilian],testing failed, subject could not integrate as a host, mutated, musculatory and vocal patterns remained
3rd Chamber: [Clone Naval I], awaiting interrogation team
4th Chamber: [Clone Naval II], awaiting interrogation team
5th Chamber: [Jedi], Umbaran, deceased, gathered with the [Clone Naval I & II & III]
6th Chamber: [Clone Naval III], died not long ago, awaiting for approval to intergrate the [Clone Naval III] for host

Distress Signal is active [TECH]
[ More enemies will heed the signal. ]
[ Disabling it will minimize the amount of hostiles. ]
[ Does not have enough to power to stabilize the containment cells, not an option for re-routing. ]

Potential Breach of Containment
[TECH] Not enough energy pumped to the containment cells, re-routing power is an option.
( If you fail to contain the breach, you doom the planet's water supply, also yourselves )
( If you blow the station, you doom the planet's water supply, also yourselves, after you are infected )

Emergency Security System Online
[ This powers the rayshield of THIS station after it was taken down by you in the main room in the other station ]
[ Due to the fighting, the system began malfunctioning, enabling and disabling the rayshield spontaneously ]
[ It has enough power to re-route to the containment cells ]
[ NOTE: Re-routing the power will cause the rayshield to go up, leaving you in the base with hostiles to fend off ]

This is the Mainboard. It requires three personnel to man it. As of now is it locked.
[ Your FIRST task is to  decipher the coding system ]
[ Congratulations, you have deciphered the coding system, now you see different sequences, but the one that you need is a Rayshield Activation Sequence, which is locked. Your SECOND task is to unlock it ]
[ Good job, you have now unlocked the R.A.S, now your THIRD and final task is to wipe everything from this Motherboard ]

Rules regarding /roll and explanation
[ As a group of three , you must all achieve a roll higher than 35 in order to progress further, each of you must do a /roll, not only one, teamwork is needed ]
[ If one Fails to achieve a roll higher than 35, your progress is nullified and you have to restart you task ]
[ There are a total of 3 TASKs, each task acts as a checkpoint]
[ Example: You are at the SECOND task and one of you fails a roll, you will restart from your 2nd task, not the 1st ]

Overall: 4/4. Somehow made the video game staple of underwater levels being hell untrue for this mission and was super creative in the execution, construction, and flow of the event. More like these I could tell this took a lot of hard work to setup props to you. Events like these are what keep people on the server and grant a sense of immersion. One of the best events I have had the privilege to participate in on the server.

Story: 2.5/4 decent mission concept

Execution: 4/4 Great setup with the troopers air dropping into the water created an epic cinematic battle sequence with diving into the depths taking down aqua droids. Had me in awe with the creativity and unique mission construct and FPS was very good as well so big ups on prop management. Just something about taking down those aqua droids and watching them slowly sink to the seafloor after blasting them is something special. Never got bored or felt like I was waiting on the next thing.

Game Mechanics: 3/4 Good TECH RP, but could have used a little more variation with the RP to do more than TECH but still high quality TECH RP setup. The map choice is a very unique and challenging one. But instead of shying away from a difficult event to setup, it was presented beautifully with precision and passion. Was setup great for people to not get lost in the large depths and kept troopers on task/objective.

Overall: 2/4

Story: 3/4 - The story itself wasn't entirely implemented in the actual event. However, the acting from the Naval was very phenomenal. Being the one that carried him out of the laboratory, he was actually doing very well given the situation and pressure he was put in. I was really immersed!

Execution: 2/4 - I can tell there was a lot of effort put into it, I really do! But I couldn't fire my weapon at all in some cases where there were just too many droids/props and I was experiencing the gun glitch. These performance issues really dampened it for me.

Game Mechanics: 2/4 - While I wasn't involved in the Tech RP, there was a hell of a lot of it. May have gone too far in a few places -- however, I do like how in depth it actually seemed. Each mechanism having its own function and such. The droids, however, were often poorly placed and seemed to just be littered all over the sea floor/rooms/etc and it was just a stream of T-21's from a distance where you couldn't even see who was firing it.

Thank you very much, zoo wee. I tried to make it more challenging as I did not prepare to add SO BDE for the deployment, it was supposed to be rather small with somewhat 20 people, but thanks for the feedback
