[DIRECTORS] Switching GM to a Specialized Battalion

Suggestion: Change the Galactic Marines Regiment from Attack, to Specialized.

 

Reasoning: The Galactic Marine Battalion, on the server, works as a Support Battalion. The Galactic Marines, are instructors for TECH, EOD, and Possibly ENG Training (If what we have planned goes through). The Galactic Marines were cross-trained to fight on a variety of environments in ground and space, making them extremely versatile. They specialized in boarding and capturing enemy star ships as well as planetary assault. The Galactic Marines Support Troopers, are able to give out 100 Armor for those who have been injured or need armor, as well as heal the wounded. We have been becoming a QRF (Quick Reaction Force). Even when we were tasked with Protecting the Hyper-matter Core, When a battalion has requested Reinforcements, we have been sending some of our forces to the area, to help with the repelling, as well as helping the wounded.
Plus the Galactic Marines were a Specialized Battalion, originally, but was moved to the Attack Regiment because of the hole that was the removal of the 327th. With the re-addition of the 327th Star Corps, There are a total of 4 Attack Battalions, and 3 Specialized Battalions, we believe that we should be moved back to our original position in the Specialized Regiment.

 

High Command (Attack Regimental, Specialized Regimental, and Marshal Commander) have approved of the Suggestion.

 

Implementation: Move the Galactic Marine TS Channel to the Specialized Battalions Area. And have High Command issue the Galactic Marine Battalion a new Battle station, Preferably Roam or based in the middle of the Venator, Because we would be acting as a QRF (Quick Reaction Force), while also being ready to board ship if the need arises.

As a previous Bacara, no. Technically every battalion is trained to do everything. GM stands out due to the mesh helmet. Also your reasoning is kinda shit. GM is kinda a backwash SOBDE.

Also, battle stations change every 2 weeks soooo likeeee you don’t get 1 battelstation and stay there for the rest of the map

+1, I agree we need to add more detail to the suggestion, However, GM Was a Specialized Battalion Originally. Then when 327th was removed, we were moved to Attack Battalions, because of the VOID of battalions in the area. Since the 327th, has been re added to the server, We believe we should be moved back.
GM Does TECH, EOD, Trainings. As well as for a wile, been acting as a QRF on ship. When someone has called for reinforcements, we have sent personnel.

Excuse me wtf? Lol. Attack are specialized in ATTACKING. We also can do the same thing most other battalions do if we get the training.  Defuse bombs? We can be trained  repair shit? We can be trained?  Recon? We have ARC and ARF.  Fly shit? We have pilots.    Imo. Gm is fine were it is  but im not for or against.  Neutral

Rahh everyone specializes in attacking its an army, I'm talking about their purpose for example:

 

CG are police: that's their specialization

DU are equipped with defensive equipment: that's their specialization

104th are known as a mechanical assault batt: that's their specialization

Galactic Marines are marines equipped for harsh environments including space vacuums with equipment (marines do ship boarding) as well as being known as the engineer/techy type of trooper due to their skygate repairs: that's their specialization

501st, 212th and 327th are essentially the same batt just reskinned and with diff lore characters, Galactic marines clearly stands out in the regiment and would fit more in specialized.

If GM want the change let them have it. Not like it effects anyone anyways other then GM why try and shoot them down in the end they want the change and this would spread out the battalions.

Ok so like Cblake had said everyone has some kind of specialization they are known for like how 41st can translate and so on. Moving GM to a different reg is worthless. In lore GM are known to be the BEST fighters and are feared for that very reason. And like a lot of other people have said everyone has the same kinds of trainings as you guys but you have a priority over the rest when it comes to doing certain jobs just like how 104th have priority when it comes to flying ships. And all the attack batts are not the same, 327th are a siege like battalion, 501st are more head on fighting and 212th are known for their air born troops as well. Saying they are all the same is like saying 41st, 91st, RANCOR, and SO are the same.  -1 because its a pointless change to make, just stay where you are.

This is a director's decision, but in my honest opinion, I don't see the point of switching regiments. Too much work.

The whole point is that every battalion has something to make them special and yet GM are the ones that are saying they need to switch regiments. This post is making it seem like all attack battalions point and shoot and that’s the extent of it so because GM point and shoot AND do more RP. In the end GM is a front line assault battalion and while they do a lot of extra stuff as well, if it’s summed up GM is a front line assault battalion, plain and simple
