No, it's a teamspeak server banner; it will make more sense later this month when I'm finished V4 of the website, it's also extremely thin compared to many other banners and scales with your window size/resolution so it should be pretty non-intrusive.

+1 It's garry's mod; in my opinion, roleplay can only be monitored and maintained to a certain degree of "seriousness" before it becomes extremely dry and/or just not fun entirely. Semi-Serious RP is the proper balance of serious events, battalion management, base management, ranks, etc. along with random RP scenarios like Square's casino and other fun activities that would currently be deemed as "FailRP" For example, why can people jetpack around the inside of a closed base but you're not allowed to jump over a railing... Or shock just stands by and watches random clones scream into their "speaking device", circling a general/r2-d2/anylorecharacter like a pigeon, as if this is perfectly sane clone behavior, but soon as someone slips over a railing batons come out... Not to mention there is literally not enough shock troopers online at off-peak hours to warrant any type of "serious rp" rules, regularly do I see 80+ players on the server with one ST, he's busy with one thing there's 4 other clones running around doing god knows what, and 2 waiting to be trained (no offense to anyone in particular it's simply a point to consider)

Necroposting doesn't happen very often, though if it does they're just opening themselves up to forum warnings. Secondly, the amount of time spent "dealing with necroposting" wouldn't warrant any amount of effort into an automatic locking system, which in turn could be detrimental in some scenarios. The store currently offers all payment options we intend to support. We don't have any plans to expand the payment methods, nor could we ever implement store wallet support as that only pertains to steam games and steam platform purchases. I don't think it should be removed, necessarily. Do I think it's stupid that people run around so fast they could compete in the crack head Olympics? Yes. Should we completely remove the skill system in favor of ballation-specific stats? No. I think each battalion/class should have specific "base" stats that differentiate them, this is easily done in the jobs config, while offering additional changes to current systems. But skill progression and progression systems are really fun for new players to work towards, gives them goals to spend RP cash on, etc. My suggestion would be to modify and rewrite the skill system, adding new functions, balancing current levels, and reducing the speed upgrade %s dramatically. When I took over forum dev, the section was just called “Spam Center” or something, and I renamed it to Off topic, while keeping the current “rules” in place you can pretty much most anything there but it can’t be server or staff related as you said, and has baseline rules that follow normal rules like no porn or gore

Ok calm down gamer... I hope you realize Zim is a founder, and was at one point in time the community owner. He’s been the backbone of all gameserver development for atleast the better part of 2 years. Joah renamed the founder rank into rank-specific roles to help people better understand their duties. “High Staff” consist of the Head Admins, Directors, Head of Admin/Intel/Departments, and all Founder ranks (Square/Zim/Jackson/Joah) As a director was involved in the thread discussion directly, it would have been bias for Sanchez to punish the user, and Head Admins obviously cannot overstep a Director, so a higher position stepped in and resolved the thread to the best of his ability due to the escalating nature of the toxicity. Also, @Felix I don’t personally agree with your statement, nor am I going to take sides, but if a Director or Head Admin need to be spoken to in regards to their rank or behavior, it is always done in private just as 90% of internal staff issues are handled. High Staff are not immune to punishment, I’ve seen a handful of Head Admins removed, and let’s not even go back to remembering the days of BILLIAM (Ex-Director who was removed), so just be assured if people fuck up they are held responsible; that includes me, any member, any staff member, and high staff. I’m currently on LOA for the Holidays, else I would offer additional input towards previous forum warnings and behavior. Personally, I think he just needs to take a break like his original outro thread stated. Just to clear a few things up - Zim did not edit the poll. He banned the user and posted his response to the OP At 3am in the morning during forum updates, the thread was linked to me again and I jokingly changed the poll name. I went to sleep after working on the forums all night, forgot to remove it, and it was removed in the morning when I woke up. The poll was removed as I saw no merit to the simple “yes/no” server dying question as it leads a very negative picture to anyone simply looking at a glance without proper background discussion. The discussion within the thread remains, and it was not trashed as there was some constructive discussion taking place. as for A-A-ron, my understanding is he made an official leaving thread, but followed that by spamming @ tags in a mass tag thread. This was dumb and warranted a warning. Double warned was most likely due to forum lag and a double click. Shortly after he returned, he created a thread aggressively bashing all of his “concerns” or dislike of the community. They were not constructive, nor did he offer any solutions or alternatives to improve the experience. It’s a tell-tale attitude of toxicity when you simply bash or degrade people/teams/ideas while offering zero productive solutions. I don’t personally believe the thread was made genuinely in reference to the wording and actions that was displayed previously. The banter and finger-pointing within the threads showed continued toxicity. Now. was the poll title change professional or warranted? No, but it was late night joke that was only meant to be in place for a few seconds and giggles. I will personally apologize for this and @Zim should not be blamed or his discretion questioned. He reviewed the thread, executed the ban, and locked it. It was temporarily modified later for memes. no, as i stated above it's nothing i have control over, our host is working to resolve the issue as it's related to the physical disk of the webserver (someone is over-using their space in the shared web environment, it has nothing to do with our website or forums, we're simply incurring an outage due to another client being dumb) it will be resolved when mods is able to resolve it, again, the "forums will be mostly broken" until then.

Moving official "VOTES" like +1 and -1 to reputation is not something I believe would be beneficial. It removes the need to comment your opinion, and also would make the forum rep system based on your "votes", as in someone whom is a popular Admiral may have a higher rep simply because he applied for a CMD position and received 30 +1s, when in reality they were only votes on the application. If you're really having issues with people harassing each other it needs to be brought up to the proper channels; people have been forum ban in the past for "abusing" the rep system. There's also a difference between posting something in which people disagree with, and rate you dumb, or one person going out of their way to spam dumb your last 30 posts Removing a system because a few people had their feelings hurt is kinda dumb, it's literally forum reputation, I mean @Sanchez Resident became a Director with like 8 forum warnings so in reality I don't think you should take it too seriously
