Name:Hanz Suggestion: Allow people to delete their own posts Why should we implement this? Add a Delete Button How will this improve the Forums? I feel many times someone puts something up in the heat of the moment or without thinking and a delete button would cause a lot less drama. One issue that I can see from this is Rep farming by deleting a post with a lot of negative rep, but I assume there is a way to stop that from happening. I think the Forum Mods should still be able to see what someone deleted just like they can see what someone edited. The only proper way to delete something right now is to contact someone to take it down, or by editing it to say nothing, both of which are not as effective of a delete button.

-1 for reasons stated above. Edit the post, tag a forum mod and ask for the post to be removed/hidden. Naffen typically has a superhuman reaction time to the pings, so it won’t take too long.

Look, I said this before on a suggestion exactly like this, it’s a think before you post type shit. And if you regret it, just @ Forum Mod to take care of it. I promise you, although it’d be easy to just add the button it will be a hassle in the end administratively. -1
