The only kind of "reward" you get is being counted as an event helper and of course you get to be interesting jobs and have interesting RP. The only kind of "reward" you get is being counted as an event helper and of course you get to be interesting jobs and have interesting RP. A) The person that is an event job is give people something to do and or shoot at on the ship instead of sitting on their arses and complain about being board. While this is true and I agree with you, most people with VIP rarely are an event job, because they get nothing out of it. As a gamemaker, I've had multiple times where all/almost all my event jobs are staff and I have to cut the event down to meet the amount of event jobs I can get. Many people will not be event jobs unless it has some sort of reward/payment. This would motivate more people to want to be an event job, as most jobs already earn 300+ anyways, at least now they aren't losing much money, if any. It's not a reward to get paid 300C either. The only jobs that currently make less than this if I'm not mistaken is CC at 50C, Youngling at 100C, CT at 250C, and R2D2/C3PO at 250C. 300C would actually still mean losing money for being an event job, rather than being on your main job for almost everyone. The bottom line is, I'm a huge +1 ,and as a gamemaker especially. I feel like this would get us more event jobs, which I've noticed have become increasingly scarce. A 300C pay for event jobs is hardly anything anyways, when you compare it to what their normal job likely makes. NOTE: I'm not saying we need to reward event jobs by giving them a pay increase, but they shouldn't lose their pay entirely, especially when some events takes 2-4 hours. In my almost 2 years being here (IFN then to here) we always told event jobs that they won't get rewarded since that's not the point of being an event job. It instills a bad moral into people which will make them think they should only do something for a reward and technically we would be supporting that. Just my opinion. Not trying to argue. Honestly if this does pass (which this is a staff thing so they'll probably bring it up with High Staff.) then I wouldn't lose sleep or anything. It could work for a while. (Casino/gambling/bribes) Because they are doing the grind and if they are helping with an event it's almost 3 hours of grinding for that next skill point or Weapon gone. Chambers Posted April 3, 2018 Author Posted April 3, 2018 There is a blacklist system in place with the GM program, if event jobs joined just to farm money and not perform the roles required and are only there to farm money that's something different and you could be blacklisted. I'm only staring at 300credits to start since that's what most normal trooper jobs make so it's not like they are making more than normal.
